Sea Eastern Green
After Philip described this hunter-like hunting method, Kronos had always thought it would be a very thrilling experience.
But once he was actually there, Kronos found it utterly boring.
It's clear that this mountain has indeed retained much of its original character, and there are still quite a few real wild beasts in it, because during the journey, Kronos even saw traces of a wolf pack.
However, it lacked a bit of the thrill. Even if a ferocious beast appeared, such a group of people could easily take it down with a single volley of arrows.
But Kronos didn't want to spoil Philip's fun, so he joined in and "happily" played along.
Kronos didn't come away empty-handed; at least he discovered that he had a real talent for using a bow and arrow.
Whether it was his own Beyonder Pathway or the Time Stone, both greatly enhanced Kronos's eyesight, making his accuracy truly remarkable, at least to the point that the old Hunter around him had to admit defeat.
That's good. As mentioned before, there's a Red Priest Pathway Sequence 5 Beyonder Item in the family Storeroom: a bow and arrow made using the Reaper Beyonder Pathway.
Now it seems this bow really suits me quite well.
Along the way, they actually caught quite a few prey, which were all carried on the backs of the Hunter.
From pheasants and rabbits to monkeys and wolves, there are all sorts of them.
"If we could find another leopard today, it would be perfect!" Philip said to Kronos with great joy.
"There aren't many Beast in this mountain, mainly wolves and leopards. I only saw a bear once many years ago," Philip continued excitedly.
"A leopard?" Kronos shuddered involuntarily upon hearing the name of the animal.
The leopard's gaping maw from last time almost gave Kronos a psychological trauma; if it weren't for the Time Stone, Kronos would have met his end back then.
"It's better to avoid it." Actually, even disregarding his Skill Scroll, in close combat, an ordinary leopard might not be able to defeat Kronos, but Kronos still said that.
Upon hearing Kronos's words, Philip asked curiously, "What's wrong? Don't you like leopards?"
Kronos didn't hide anything and told Philip the whole story of "The Adventures of Tiana".
For most people, the experience would be thrilling and exciting, but for Philip, it was completely different. He was so envious that his mouth watered. This kind of real-life wilderness adventure was simply too appealing to him.
"Did the Marquis Argel agree to this?" Philip asked.
"Uh, would you believe me if I said I haven't told him yet?"
Philip was taken aback, then said with a wry smile, "Your method won't work on me!"
Philip had originally intended to learn from this experience so he could try to persuade his father later, but he never expected it to be this way.
"Haha, yes, my father doesn't have that many people around me, so it's easier to keep it from him. But don't even think about it; the people around you won't be able to help you hide it from Duke Negan."
Just as the two were chatting, they suddenly heard a low, nasal "gehe-gehe-gehe" sound coming from above.
This unique sound immediately attracted the attention of everyone present, and they all looked up.
Perched on a branch was a bird with predominantly white plumage and brown the Spot on its back and Wings, looking extremely majestic.
Suddenly, Philip exclaimed, "Kronos, look! This is the kind of particularly beautiful eagle I was talking about. Isn't it gorgeous?"
Kronos was also pleasantly surprised; he hadn't realized there was such a bird in this mountain.
Kronos recognized it because he had been curious about what it looked like, so he specifically searched for it online.
This is a rare bird scientifically known as the Gyrfalcon. Not many people may know this scientific name, but its other name is quite famous: the Sea Eastern Green.
The Compendium of Materia Medica, under the Birds Section, records. "Eagles come from Liaodong, and the finest ones are called the Sea Eastern Green."
Kronos was immediately captivated by the magnificent bird.
This is absolutely the perfect choice for Kronos! If this Sea Eastern Green can be trained into an extraordinary animal, it will definitely be his greatest asset.
Before Kronos could speak, Philip shouted, "Catch it!"
Upon hearing their master speak, the Hunter immediately raised their bows and aimed them directly at the Sea Eastern Green in the tree.
"Don't move it, don't hurt it!" Kronos quickly reached out and pressed down on the bow and arrow in the hand of the nearest Hunter.
You can't catch it like that; if you shoot it a few times, the bird will be dead.
Even if it were saved by chance, if its feathers were damaged, it would be flawed, and Kronos really couldn't bear to hurt it.
Seeing Kronos's attitude, the Hunter hesitated to attack directly and instead looked at Philip, wanting to know Philip stance.
Philip wasn't particularly interested in eagles, and he only captured the Sea Eastern Green to give to Kronos. Since Kronos didn't want to capture it that way, Philip naturally had no objections.
So he gestured to the Hunter, signaling them to put down their bows and arrows.
"So how do you plan to catch it? I remember very clearly that this kind of eagle was the strongest of all the eagles we caught at the time. The falconers said that although it wasn't the largest type, only medium-sized, it was extremely fierce, and even the common large eagles might not be able to compare to it."
Kronos gave Philip a meaningful look. "While power is paramount for a nobleman, I hope you don't forget that we are not ordinary people."
A Sequence 7 Interrogator trying to capture an eagle entirely with a bow and arrow seems to have put the cart before the horse.
Philip fell silent. He was indeed like many nobles, even though he was an Beyonder, he rarely used his Beyonder Ability Beyonder Ability, and eventually he would basically forget about using them altogether.
Seeing Philip's silence, Kronos didn't continue. He had just given him a heads-up, mainly because he didn't want Philip to waste his time.
Then Kronos turned his attention back to the Sea Eastern Green above his head.
Kronos silently took out an arrow, then broke off its tip, leaving only the shaft.
At this moment, the people on the ground and the eagles in the trees were locked in a stare-down confrontation, waiting for one of them to make the first move.
However, Kronos's preparations were not yet complete, so he naturally wouldn't make the first move. Instead, he slowly reached into the Mystic Pouch and took out a Scroll.
The Sea Eastern Green in the tree stared motionlessly at Kronos, but Kronos kept making subtle moves.
After secretly activating the skill, he took out another Scroll and held it in his hand.
At this moment, the power of the first Skill Scroll had been activated, Sea Eastern Green in the tree was swaying slightly, as if it were getting sleepy.
This is an absurd situation. Wild eagles are natural hunters, and once they have their eyes on their prey, they will not give up easily.
How could such an animal become sleepy in such a short time?
The main reason is actually because of Kronos ' first Scroll, which contains the Darkness Pathway Sequence 5 Soul Assurer skill: Requiem.
This skill is actually used to soothe the soul, calm the opponent's desires and emotions, or bring the Nature Spirit into a more peaceful state. However, if desired, it can also induce a state of drowsiness in the opponent.
Kronos observed the Sea Eastern Green, waiting for an opportunity.
Not long after, Kronos clearly saw the Sea Eastern Green's eyes suddenly close.
He seized the opportunity and immediately activated the Scroll in his hand.
Suddenly, the branch beneath the Sea Eastern Green's feet began to grow wildly, startling the Sea Eastern Green awake. It immediately tried to spread its wings and fly away from the branch.
But the branch was faster, quickly entangling the Sea Eastern Green's claws.
This is the Mother Pathway, Sequence 7 Harvest Priest's rampant growth, which catalyzes the growth and reproduction of organisms, proliferating wildly through mutated plants.
The opportunity had fully presented itself to Kronos, and he certainly wasn't going to let it slip away.
Kronos drew his bow and nocked an arrow, pointing it directly at the Sea Eastern Green's head, and then decisively shot it away.
The distance between the man and the eagle wasn't that far, so it was impossible for Kronos, with his skill level, to miss the target.
As expected, the arrow struck the Sea Eastern Green directly in the head.
Because Kronos had broken off the arrow tip beforehand, the arrow wouldn't kill the Sea Eastern Green, but the force was enough to stun it.
The unconscious Sea Eastern Green didn't fall because its talons were tangled in the branches, so the eagle ended up hanging upside down from the branches.
Kronos's plan was a complete success.
The Hunter behind him were all astonished. They were ordinary people, so they didn't quite understand what Kronos had done, but they didn't expect him to capture the eagle so easily.
Philip, however, had a different feeling. He had seen powerful Beyonder before, but how could their impact compare to that of Kronos?
A year ago, Kronos was asking Philip to introduce him to a boxing instructor, while Philip was already Interrogator at the time.
Now, Kronos's progress is right in front of him, while he himself remains in the same state as before.
At that moment, he suddenly understood why so many people were willing to embrace madness rather than give up in order to improve their Sequence.
He also understood the meaning behind Kronos's words. He was also Beyonder, and he too had the chance to achieve the same. Should he give up? Slowly forget how to use these abilities?
