Kronos glanced at the person opposite him with interest, then said, "Can we stay in this room any longer? Or shall we find somewhere else to talk?"

The person on the other end said without hesitation, "Let's go first, let's talk somewhere else."

He knew that Kronos hadn't kept him around to sell him the Spirit Guide's Beyonder Characteristic at a higher price, so it was best not to discuss it here. Who knew if that mysterious organizer was listening all along?

Kronos shrugged, indicating that he didn't care, so the two of them walked out of the restaurant together.

Just when Kronos thought this person would find another restaurant or Coffee Shop to talk, the man spoke directly on the street, "So, what do you want?"

Kronos was taken aback. So casually?

However, he immediately followed up with the answer, "You're not Corpse Collector Pathway, so you need this Beyonder Characteristic to craft Beyonder Item, right? I need a Artisan's contact information."

This person already had some suspicions; after all, it was only their first meeting, so what could Kronos possibly want?

"It seems I was too excited just now, which is why you made that assumption."

Kronos didn't mince words, "Yes, there aren't many reasons that could excite you so much, and this guess is probably the most reasonable."

Since things have come to this point, there's no need to hide it anymore. "I am Artisan."

Kronos was somewhat surprised by this answer; he had assumed the man simply knew a Artisan.

"You're Artisan, so why did you give up after offering such a low price? That doesn't make sense!" In Kronos's mind, Artisan should be wealthy.

The Artisan said helplessly, "I'm not a Artisan who likes to save money."

Got it, he's just a big spender. Kronos is very experienced in this area; his family is so rich that he can afford it.

Kronos turned around and extended his right hand to the Artisan: "Klein, a traveler passing through Bayam."

The Artisan hesitated for a moment, then reached out and shook hands with Kronos. "Sharf, a Artisan."

Upon hearing this name, Kronos was also surprised to have encountered him.

Sharf June, originally Sharf Gustav, is a descendant of Ciel Gustav, the eldest son of Emperor Roselle. After the fall of Roselle, Ciel sought refuge in the Church of Steam and Machinery, so his descendants are all in the Church of Steam and Machinery.

However, Sharf, due to his fondness for fine wines, his infatuation with beautiful women, and his extreme extravagance, had to make items for wild Beyonder to earn money to support himself. He then defected from the Church of Steam and Machinery and hid in Bayam.

In fact, this person is very useful, or rather, any Artisan is very useful. As for his desire for pleasure, the Argel Family can easily satisfy that.

However, this person can be used in another way: to send his Message to Bernadette, which could be a way to build a good relationship or to exchange for Potion Formula.

Other Pathway are harder to say, but Bernadette certainly possesses all the Potion Formula for the Hermit and Wheel of Fortune Pathway, after all, the Blasphemy Card of the Wheel of Fortune are in her possession, and she is Sequence 3 of the Hermit Pathway.

At this moment, Sharf was unaware that this person he was meeting for the first time had already planned several possible endings for him.

Just then, Sharf's voice interrupted Kronos's thoughts, "Klein, I can tell you're not short of money. Could you let me craft that Spirit Guide? I have something very useful to make. Once it's finished, you can use it for me."

Upon hearing this, Kronos realized that this was the reason for Sharf's earlier excitement. An Beyonder Item that could excite Artisan was naturally of great interest to Kronos as well.

"That's negotiable, but I need to know what you want to build."

Sharf glanced around and then said, "Let's talk over there. This isn't a good place to discuss this."

That's true, after all, the two of them are still strolling around on the street.

Kronos followed Sharf to his residence, which looked quite nice, located in a bustling area of Bayam, not the Harbor- side house mentioned in the original story.

I don't know what Sharf did in the past two or three years to cause such a severe downgrade in consumption.

After the two entered the room, Sharf first poured Kronos a cup of black tea, then asked him to wait a moment before going into the Study alone.

Kronos didn't mind Sharf's hospitality; he was more interested in the Beyonder Item Sharf wanted to create.

About ten minutes later, Sharf came out of the Study with a book in his hand and sat down next to Kronos.

"Klein, are you Savant Pathway?" Sharf asked a rather silly question.

Kronos rolled his eyes, not even bothering to answer.

Sharf wasn't embarrassed and continued, "Since you're not Savant, I won't show you the blueprints for Beyonder Item. You wouldn't understand them anyway, and besides, this thing is a collector's item; it would be a loss for me if you remembered it."

"The first three Sequence of the Corpse Collector Pathway don't seem very useful to me, and I wouldn't know which Beyonder Characteristic to craft. But the Spirit Guide is a different story."

"Once you reach the Spirit Guide, Beyonder can truly begin to command the spirits of the dead and possess rudimentary extraordinary power. However, in my opinion, this ability is only average, and crafting such an Beyonder Item is not something that excites me."

"What I truly value is another ability of the Spirit Guide: recruiting Messenger."

Upon hearing this, Kronos's eyes lit up. What could a Sequence 6 Spirit Guide possibly be strong in combat? But the Messenger was truly useful, and Kronos wanted one too.

Then Sharf continued, "Every Beyonder can recruit Spirit World Creature from the Spirit World through Ritual, but to form a contract, the power of the Deathling Domain is required."

"So the Beyonder Item I want to create is one that can form a contract with Spirit World Creature. Once it's finished, you only need to lend it to me once, and I just need to recruit a Messenger. I don't need any payment."

Regarding this deal, Kronos naturally had many reasons. "No problem, but I'd like to ask if you could craft an Beyonder Item for me; I'll pay the full price."

Sharf's greatest advantage over the Artisan of the Church of Steam and Machinery was his greed.

In other words, he'll take any job as long as you pay him and he can do it.

"Sure, but I need to know what you want to create, since there are some things I'm not confident about," Sharf answered very decisively.

"It's an Beyonder Characteristic of Demoness of Affliction. I want to forge it into a Dagger. You should be able to do that, right?" Kronos asked.

Since we've finally encountered a Artisan, we should hurry up and get rid of this Beyonder Characteristic trait, otherwise we might not have another chance.

"The Demoness of Affliction?" Sharf pondered, stroking his chin.

"The Sequence is a bit high, but some auxiliary measures can fix it. However, it can only maintain speed and disease control capabilities; it can't do anything else. I have no ideas."

The Demoness of Affliction possesses many abilities, such as the speed of Assassin, the instigation of Instigator, the invisibility, Black Flame, and substitutes of Witch, the Silk Entanglement and frost of Demoness of Pleasure, and the diseases of the Demoness of Affliction herself.

Kronos thought that at least three abilities would be available, but he didn't expect that Sharf could only retain speed and disease.

"Only two abilities? In that case, I can only pay you 1,500 pounds. A Sequence 5 Beyonder Characteristic will only have two abilities left, which is such a waste."

Upon hearing that Kronos wanted to reduce his pay, Sharf became furious; deducting his money was like taking his life.

"Do you have this Beyonder Characteristic with you?" Sharf asked.

"No, why would I carry something like that around? What if I store it improperly and it affects me again?"

"How about this, I'll do some research today and try to refine my strategy for signing the contract with the Messenger. I can also look into how to make the Beyonder Item you need. We can decide on this matter after you send over the Beyonder Characteristic tomorrow. Is that alright?" Sharf offered this suggestion.

Kronos thought about it and then agreed.

This essentially presupposes that the Beyonder Item for the contracted Messenger will be crafted by him, but Kronos believes that ordinary Artisan are unlikely to be as skilled as Sharf.

After all, his family's scholarly tradition was evident, as evidenced by the entire Study filled with books.

Having settled the matter, Kronos left the Beyonder Characteristic of the Spirit Guide to Sharf, and then left Sharf's residence alone.

By the time Kronos returned to his lodgings, it was almost 11 p. m.

Instead of returning to his room immediately, he knocked on Gner's door.

Surprisingly, Gner was in the room; it was unclear what time he had returned.

"Gner, you're back? Where did you go?" Kronos asked in surprise.

Gner looked visibly tired as he replied, "I went to an extraordinary gathering of local natives, and I really regret it."

Upon hearing this, Kronos truly regretted not emphasizing the danger posed by these local natives to Gner.

"How could you not tell me about this first? Those natives are insane, and the god they believe in is insane too. Luckily you came back safely, otherwise I would have blamed myself for the rest of my life."

Gner grinned. "I just wanted to go and see; maybe I'll stumble upon something useful?"

"And what was the result?" Kronos asked.

"They sold a lot of random, odd-looking weapons."
