Acting on Hephaestus’s instructions, Tsubaki opens the Familia’s armory to Haimo’s newcomers. She enforces the order despite her subordinates’ objections and helps the girls select equipment suited to their methods 29 30.

Haimo later explains that Tsubaki’s permission allowed him to take the spear while Hephaestus was occupied in her workshop. Hestia concludes that Hephaestus had neglected to explain the implications of allowing a god to carry such a weapon 48.

First Dungeon Expedition

Tsubaki volunteers to teach the newcomers the Dungeon’s rules after their registration. Their performance quickly overturns her initial expectations: Aya tears through monsters barehanded, while Tsukuyo’s composure and awareness convince Tsubaki that the apparently protected girl may possess the party’s sharpest blade 31 36 37.

After witnessing Tsukuyo kill an ambushing War Shadow with Iai: Cloud Gleam, Tsubaki begins considering whether she could surpass Ais Wallenstein’s leveling record. She takes the party farther down, including through a Killer Ant encounter on the seventh floor 38 39.

The party reaches the twelfth floor on its first expedition and returns without injuries or obvious exhaustion. Tsubaki praises the achievement, helps arrange the sale of their spoils at the Guild, and joins their celebratory meal 50 51 52 54.

Witnessing the First Status Updates

Tsubaki attempts to leave before Haimo updates the girls’ Statuses, treating their abilities as confidential Familia information. She stays only after Haimo explains that he can conceal sensitive details and the girls make clear that they want their instructor present 71 72.

The results repeatedly shock her. Tsukuyo’s Dexterity and Agility exceed 350, Aya reaches F rank in all four physical parameters, and Rin exceeds 100 in both Strength and Endurance after a single day. Tsubaki judges the entire group worthy of attention from Orario’s strongest Familias 73 74 75.

She also raises concerns about Haimo granting Falna to bears, warning that imitation by other gods could create an arms race. After hearing his arguments, she agrees to watch the experiment unfold and accepts that the Guild may need to revise its registration forms 77 78.

Final Guided Expedition

Although Familia duties require her return, Tsubaki accompanies the newcomers for one final training trip. On Floor 13, she explains the dangers of the middle floors and later recruits Mikoto’s Takemikazuchi Familia as paid Supporters to transport the growing haul 90 91 98.

When the girls damage their weapons, Tsubaki promises personal repairs and reinforcement. She subsequently stops Aya from pushing deeper, successfully appealing to Haimo’s concern for her rather than to Aya’s own safety 105 106 107.

Repairs and Continued Support

Tsubaki collects the damaged weapons and promises their return within two days. She later delivers the restored and upgraded equipment herself, including reinforced Black Crow and rebalanced White Heron 121 181 182.

During the ensuing meal, she recognizes Ryu Lion but avoids exposing her former identity. News that the girls have all reached Level 2 within three days—Aya in only two—astonishes her again. She leaves afterward to resume responsibility for the Workshop and the Familia during Hephaestus’s seclusion 182 183 184 185.

After Hephaestus emerges, Tsubaki defends Haimo when her goddess complains about the trouble surrounding his spear, pointing out that Hephaestus herself authorized unrestricted selection from the warehouse 316.
