Background / History
Bei Bei grew up at Shrek without parental discipline. As Mu En’s great-great-grandson, he occupied a privileged position described as practically that of “Shrek’s crown prince.” His unruly temperament was not regarded as a problem within Shrek 7.
His ancestry made him a target of Du Busi’s resentment: Mu En had killed Du Busi’s elder brother in a fair duel. Although Du Busi had not pursued an all-out war over that death, meeting Mu En’s descendant stirred his killing intent 7.
Personality
Bei Bei is initially arrogant, mischievous, and outspoken. He rebukes Du Busi for judging Shrek despite Yan Shaozhe’s efforts to avoid confrontation, then proudly identifies Mu En as his ancestor. Even after recognizing the danger, he refuses to appear cowed 7.
He can think tactically under pressure: realizing that he has caused trouble, he redirects the confrontation toward a duel with someone his own age. He also shows determination in combat, attempting to rise and continue fighting after Su Yu punches and throws him 7 8.
His confidence extends to protecting Tang Ya. He promises that he can reach Soul King within ten years and support her against her enemies; this is a personal boast, not a documented advancement 7.
