Background / History

Su Yu transmigrated to Douluo Continent and spent years struggling as a wandering orphan. A free martial-soul awakening event organized by the Heavenly Soul Royal Family gave him the opportunity to awaken his three dantian martial souls. Their nature attracted the Body Sect, which accepted him as a disciple and housed him at its Heaven Dou City manor 1.

The sect provided an advanced meditation method, while Du Busi personally supervised his body tempering and soul-ring preparations. Su Yu’s unusual cultivation state and rapid improvements led Du Busi to regard him, Long Aotian, and Vina as three exceptional talents capable of carrying the sect’s future 1 3 4.

At six years old, Su Yu was tall enough to look eight or nine after three months of body tempering and absorption of his first soul ring; Bei Bei consequently mistook him for a peer 8.

His curiosity can outpace his caution: early overtraining swells his meridians, and he initially overlooks his exhaustion after his first second awakening 2 3 13 14 19.

He is ambitious but unwilling to rely on uncertain allies. His goal is godhood and entry into the Divine Realm, with enough personal strength to withstand possible interference from Tang San. He also aims to become a Limit Douluo five years before Huo Yuhao and prioritizes combat strength beyond the normal limits of his eventual cultivation rank 9 16 17 20.

His persistence is practical rather than painless. He complains bitterly about dantian tempering but continues because of its potential benefits.
