Seeing Malygos setting up an arcane bomb, the Dragon Aspects all kept their distance, clearly wary of that kind of arcane bomb.

Malygos carefully secured the arcane bomb, then blinked over and raised an arcane barrier, enclosing everyone within it.

The arcane bomb's detonation process was much like that of a real bomb.

But it had no means of remote detonation or passive triggering.

It required Malygos to activate it personally, followed by a few seconds of energy reaction time.

That meant the arcane bomb could only be used as a grenade.

Activate it, throw it at the enemy, and wait for a dazzling display of fireworks.

Still, judging by Malygos's caution, this thing packed just a teensy, enormous amount of explosive power.

Before Herad could think much more about it, the arcane bomb exploded.

A blinding burst of purple light suddenly appeared over Zakaaz's corpse.

Then Herad felt as though something had gone wrong with his eyes.

There seemed to be nothing left between heaven and earth but that dazzling purple.

The Dragon Aspects, however, were not particularly nervous and were even in the mood to discuss the arcane bomb's power.

Alexstrasza patted Herad on the shoulder, reassuring him.

"Don't be afraid. It's fine. This thing only blinds you temporarily. It won't burn out your eyes."

Herad was not worried about being blinded.

The Red Dragon Queen's blessing had given him tremendous vitality.

He had never deliberately tested its precise effects, though.

But he figured limb regeneration like that of a Troll should be no problem.

Even without that kind of regenerative ability, both the Red Dragon Queen and the Green Dragon Queen excelled at healing. Treating his eyes would be a piece of cake.

What concerned him more now was what the explosion had done to Zakaaz's corpse.
