Herad could do nothing about the brimmingly confident Xal'atath's nagging. In the end, he agreed to find her some enemies for a combat test.
"Let's find a Faceless Ones General first. Challenging an enemy like that would be interesting!"
Herad immediately dismissed Xal'atath's suggestion.
Faceless Ones Generals were powerful enemies, unsuitable as targets for a challenge.
An ordinary Faceless One or some other Old Gods minion would be more like it.
There were three Old Gods still alive.
C'Thun was imprisoned beneath the Silithus desert.
His powerful minions were all trapped behind the Scarab Wall.
Yogg-Saron was imprisoned in the Storm Peaks, with parts of his body already free.
He was far too powerful, and he had also corrupted the Titan Keeper Loken.
He was the resourceful fellow who had sent two Faceless Ones Generals to hunt down Tyr.
His subordinates were therefore certainly unsuitable as test targets.
The last one, N'Zoth, had escaped his prison and gone into hiding, leaving no trace to be found.
He was the exceedingly cautious fellow who had corrupted Deathwing.
After considering them all, only the Aqir in C'Thun's faction were suitable.
The Aqir were cannon fodder with little intelligence.
Apart from their vast numbers, they had no advantages.
Naturally, Xal'atath thought little of these weak, lesser Aqir.
"These bugs are too weak. They don't feel worthy of my strength!"
Herad was not surprised that Xal'atath was dissatisfied with the Aqir's strength.
Those Aqir really were not particularly strong.
But their shells were hard, making them suitable targets for testing the dagger's sharpness.
"Testing on enemies like these will already give us the results we need.
"Besides, the more powerful Old Gods minions are all trapped behind magical seals."
Herad's explanation soothed Xal'atath's wounded feelings somewhat.
Since these were the most suitable targets available,
