The Alliance soldiers cleared away the Orc corpses strewn haphazardly across the cellar.

Over the past few hours, they had wiped out every Orc in the tomb.

"Lord Khadgar, Lord Trollbane, we found no sign of the Orc chieftain Ner'zhul!" A lieutenant jogged over and reported to the two leaders.

"What?" Khadgar could not help frowning.

Their troops had followed the Horde's trail, pursuing them all the way and annihilating the vast majority of the Orcs.

"I see." Khadgar nodded.

"Danath, I don't think we have time to rest. March through the night and pursue the last remnants of the Horde!"

"All right, Khadgar!"

With only warlocks and shamans remaining, the Horde's last contingent marched swiftly. They managed to put some distance between themselves and the Alliance army, reaching the Black Temple first.

The Orcs of the Shadowmoon Clan Tribe had occupied the temple several days earlier, and they had long since made ample preparations there.

Ner'zhul, too, had successfully taken control of the temple a day earlier.

At that moment, atop the temple.

Ner'zhul
