The distance between Yang Yi and Steam Island continued to shrink, but the autocannons made advancing extremely difficult. Their barrage was simply too dense.
Still, if this was the extent of their firepower, it was not too bad. Breaking through would not be difficult, because the autocannons' underwater range would be drastically reduced. All he needed was a solid barrier in front of and above the ship.
Yang Yi gauged the firepower while assessing how much preparation he would need to land on this Player Island safely and smoothly.
That should do. Time to take a look underwater.
He thought to himself, preparing to dive.
But just then, he finally drew close enough to Steam Island for it to enter the visible range of his Three Eyes. He could see the island clearly, along with what the robots on it were doing.
These appeared to be Engineering Robots of the same model, with roughly identical specifications, but rust had given them different appearances. The locations and severity of their corrosion varied, and some were only lightly rusted.
Yang Yi merely glanced at the robots and took a photo before turning his attention away.
The robots were assembling or repairing the cannons and weapons along the coastline. They had just finished repairing the first batch, which opened fire right before Yang Yi's eyes.
"Fuck!"
Yang Yi knew his own limits. He knew these newly repaired, or even newly assembled, weapons were worlds apart from the rusted, damaged ones.
Their power might be somewhat lower, but their accuracy... was definitely far better than missiles undergoing Brownian motion.
With so many weapons aiming and firing at Yang Yi at once in a saturation attack, there was no way he could intercept them alone!
Without another word, he dove into the water and raised
