"Why did you follow me?"
After entering the water, Yang Yi noticed that Cui Xiya had followed him and asked her.
She swam underwater as though she were flying. The boiling water posed no threat to her, as Light Fairies had a very high Constitution stat.
"Then I'll go back to the ship."
Her voice spread through the boiling seawater, sounding somewhat muffled.
Yang Yi was baffled. It took him several seconds to catch on.
She probably hadn't wanted to stay aboard the Iron Will alone, so she had followed him into the water.
After all, her identity as a Light Fairy was still a sensitive matter. She was worth hundreds of millions on the black market and could easily attract unwanted attention.
Yang Yi watched her leave the water and enter the Long-Legged, then glanced at the Sea Chart he had obtained earlier through the Lookout and swam toward Steam Island.
After swimming several hundred meters, he turned around to take another look at the Mechanical Kraken.
It had over thirty tentacles in total, but most had broken off. Only nine were relatively intact, though those might also have been broken mechanical tentacles.
At its prime, then, it was probably even larger than it was now, possibly over 1,500 meters long.
"That squid is huge."
Yang Yi marveled.
He just wasn't sure whether the Mechanical Kraken counted as a Legendary Creature. Otherwise, he could try asking Yu Dawei for it to upgrade the Nightmare Star.
That wasn't impossible.
After conquering Steam Island, they would inevitably have to divide the spoils. He would need to discuss that properly with Yu Dawei.
So the Mechanical Kraken was also a bargaining chip, and getting it wasn't out of the question.
After thinking for a while, he set the idea aside for now.
