Yang Yi and Su Na often saw this color and found it very familiar, because it closely resembled the light given off by the Liquid Soul inside Abyss Soul Stones.

"What is that thing?"

Yu Dawei spoke, hovering in midair with his thrusters as he looked down.

The real thing had finally shown itself.

The first things to appear were still those Grotesque Tentacles from before, their surfaces covered in sharp teeth, fangs, and everted mouthparts. They looked much like the Screaming Demons they had seen earlier, and faint murmurs issued from their mouths.

Moreover, they had undergone a new change. Large amounts of wispy, multicolored radiance drifted from the mouthparts on their surfaces, swirled around the Grotesque Tentacles, and finally floated into some mechs the tentacles had brought up with them, reactivating them and making them stand.

"This is...!" Yu Dawei's expression changed in shock.

"Some kind of power that can give machines souls..." Su Na said with a deep frown, standing on Yang Yi's shoulder and gripping the Wolf Fur on his face to keep her balance.

"Boss, the artillery fire from Steam Island suddenly stopped. Did you succeed?"

Just then, Zhang Zhi, who was out at sea on the deck of the Iron Will, also sent a message asking Yu Dawei.

"Don't come near. There's some kind of monster inside this island that can control you!"

"But..."

"No buts!"

After replying, Yu Dawei paid no further attention to the messages, focusing entirely on what was below.

By now, more and more mechs below had been "revived." They were all machines that had fallen earlier. Some were damaged, and their eye lights or cameras glowed red as they stared at Yang Yi and the others.

But they did not rashly attack, as though waiting for someone's orders.
