On his fifth encounter with a dream, the scene had changed to daytime.
But this time, before Yang Yi had even drunk a Sleeping Potion, the dream suddenly changed, as though someone had pressed pause. Everything in the scene stopped moving, including the seabirds in the sky.
Yang Yi had seen this many times already, so he did not even need to ask who had arrived.
A brown-skinned man with a white cloth wrapped around his head and clad in Golden Armor suddenly appeared on the Bridge, his body blazing with brilliant golden light. He cast a contemptuous glance at Yang Yi at the helm and was just about to speak when he found he could no longer open his mouth. His body was melting like paint, then vanished as the entire dream collapsed.
"This potion really works. I don't even have to fight."
Yang Yi guzzled five bottles in one go, taking Su Na's oft-repeated phrase, "increase the dosage," to its utmost extreme.
The dreams became more frequent afterward, causing his consumption of Sleeping Potions to skyrocket.
Fortunately, Yang Yi had prepared in advance and stocked up on an almost inexhaustible supply. Otherwise, who knew how many battles he would have to fight against Abu Singh?
Even he would probably have been worn down and killed out at sea, because once dreams merged with reality, all attributes and abilities were synchronized with reality. That meant his Refuse Death could only activate once; the second time, he would truly die.
And so, the Nightmare Star continued sailing for another nine hours.
During that time, Abu Singh went from initial contempt to anger, and finally began hurling insults outright, but he vanished every time before he could finish.
"You..."
"If you've got the guts, stop... (drinking!)"
"Do you dare fight... (me?)"
