Yao Xuan studied at Red Mountain Junior Soul Master Academy under Lin Ximeng, who taught him Soul Master theory and the Five Hearts Towards Heaven Art. He later replaced that method with the substantially stronger Fortune Soul Forging Art. 9 32

As a child, he encountered Na'er and became her adoptive brother and protector. He escorted her home from school, defended her from bullies, and formed a lasting bond with her. 10 22 23
