The air fell silent yet again.
This time, the students from Kyoto Jujutsu High all had twitching faces. Even Noritoshi Kamo, whose face was perpetually dour, couldn't stop the corner of his mouth from twitching.
"This embarrassing idiot is at it again." Momo Nishimiya covered her face, speechless.
Aoi Todo was like a humanoid AI fetish-detection system, automatically launching a questionnaire whenever he met someone.
He had asked practically every male at Kyoto Jujutsu High this question. He hadn't even spared Gakuganji, who was close to losing all his teeth. The guy had absolutely no decency.
Although they already knew what he would do, watching him do it in person still made them cringe hard enough to dig their toes into the ground.
What even was this?!
The students from both schools had gathered here to compete in the Goodwill Event. They were still in the middle of a tense, thrilling, swords-drawn standoff, yet this fetish cop had decided to start policing them right now.
Did that make any sense?
He wasn't just exceptionally outgoing anymore. He was a social terrorist.
No one from Tokyo Jujutsu High had ever seen anything like this, and they all froze too.
"Huh?" Yuta Okkotsu clearly hadn't processed it. His brain had completely crashed.
"What, can't answer?" Aoi Todo, however, saw nothing wrong with it. Instead, he took half a step forward, his presence growing increasingly oppressive.
"D-do we have to talk about this right now? Isn't this the Sister-School Goodwill Event?" Yuta Okkotsu instinctively backed away half a step.
He was an introvert with social anxiety to begin with. Although he had improved considerably during his time at Jujutsu High, exposing his fetishes in front of both schools' teachers and students was still a little too embarrassing.
"Yeah, why do we have to answer such a boring question?" Maki couldn't stand watching anymore and immediately objected.
"A person's sexual preferences reflect everything about them. If he likes boring women, then he must be a very boring person too. I hate boring men. The blood-pumping Goodwill Event is my personal stage for setting my soul ablaze. If anyone makes the Goodwill Event boring for me, I'll beat the hell out of him."
Satoru Gojo, however, watched everything with interest. "So passionate. Yuta, there's no harm in satisfying Todo's curiosity, is there?"
Yuta Okkotsu could only turn helplessly toward Akutagawa Shang beside him, hoping for help.
But Akutagawa Shang could only spread his hands to show that he couldn't help.
"As things stand, he probably won't let it go unless you answer. Just say whatever comes to mind. Don't you already have someone you like?"
"But this is just too..."
"Spit it out. Anything's fine. Even saying you like men is fine."
At those words, everyone instinctively glanced at Kinji Hakari, who was holding Kirara Hoshi off to the side.
"What're you looking at me for, idiots?" He frowned, but otherwise didn't care in the slightest.
What should I say? Do I just say I like Rika? But that's way too embarrassing.
Just as Yuta Okkotsu was stammering, unable to get the words out, the being inside him could no longer sit still.
"The one~~ Yuta likes~~ can only be me. And you aren't allowed to bully... Yuta~~" A deep, eerie voice slowly rang out.
A gigantic claw suddenly reached out of the shadows behind Yuta Okkotsu. Then half of Rika's deathly pale body slowly emerged. Clearly, Rika was a little angry.
It was as though someone had instantly pressed mute on the entire gathering.
An indescribably terrifying surge of cursed energy spread like a dark tide, its overwhelming pressure filling the entire area in an instant.
The Kyoto Jujutsu High students felt a chill shoot from the soles of their feet straight to the tops of their heads. Kasumi Miwa's legs went weak; if Mai hadn't caught her in time, she would probably have collapsed to the ground.
"Wh-what is this...?"
Noritoshi Kamo's face went pale, and fine beads of sweat formed on his forehead. His survival instincts were screaming warnings. Even all the Kamo Clan's fighting strength combined might not have exerted this much pressure.
Momo Nishimiya clutched her broom tightly, trembling violently.
Principal Gakuganji's eyelids twitched wildly. He nearly snapped the cane in his hand as he stared fixedly at the terrifying figure behind Yuta Okkotsu.
"Special Grade vengeful cursed spirit-Rika Orimoto!!!"
"Yuta... can only be mine. No one is allowed to take him away."
Rika, the cursed spirit, roared. Her violent pressure left everyone present struggling to breathe, except Satoru Gojo.
Gakuganji turned and glared at Satoru Gojo, roaring, "Satoru Gojo, didn't you say you would handle this properly? What's going on now?!"
Satoru Gojo, however, didn't care in the slightest. He spread his hands to indicate that nothing had happened.
"Nothing's happened yet, has it? Aren't you still sitting there just fine?"
"Satoru Gojo!!! Fix this right now!" If he weren't unable to beat him, Gakuganji would have liked nothing more than to tear Satoru Gojo apart alive.
"Oh, all right, all right. An old man shouldn't get so worked up. It'll shorten your life."
"Hey, Akutagawa-san, tell Yuta to call Rika back."
"Sure thing."
"Yuta, put Rika away. Don't scare our Kyoto schoolmates too badly." Akutagawa Shang poked Yuta Okkotsu, then pointed at the trembling Kyoto Jujutsu High students nearby.
"Oh, right. Rika-chan, Todo was just messing around with me. It's okay."
"But... Yuta."
"It's all right, Rika. I'm really fine."
"Okay... Yuta, don't be angry~~~~" At his words, Rika, the cursed spirit, slowly retreated into the shadows behind him.
The Kyoto Jujutsu High group was still caught in the lingering pressure of Rika's presence. None of them had recovered yet.
"Are we... supposed to fight something like that this time? How the hell are we supposed to fight? Just declare Tokyo the winners already."
Everyone on the Tokyo Jujutsu High side was struggling to hold it in, doing their best not to burst out laughing on the spot.
They couldn't help it. People intent on winning might not wear smiles, but this time, they were clearly guaranteed to win.
"Wow, this year's first-years really are something." Kinji Hakari couldn't help letting out a note of admiration.
"Sorry, Todo-senpai. Didn't you ask what kind of woman I like? The one I like... is Rika. No matter how much time passes, no matter what she becomes, the one I like will always be Rika." Yuta Okkotsu took a deep breath and gave Aoi Todo his answer.
Aoi Todo, who had been pressing him relentlessly just moments ago, now stood rooted to the spot, staring straight at the place behind Yuta Okkotsu where Rika had just manifested.
Just as everyone thought facing Rika, the cursed spirit, had scared him senseless, Aoi Todo slowly opened his mouth and uttered:
"Now that's intense!!!"
"I've seen so many people's fetishes. They're all different. Some like mature women, some like little girls, but no one has ever been like you. Your fetish has transcended time, transcended life and death, and even crossed the species barrier."
Clearly, the critical hit of Yuta Okkotsu's pure love for his deceased wife, transcending life and death and crossing species, had utterly stunned Aoi Todo.
"What's your name?"
"Yuta Okkotsu."
Aoi Todo solemnly extended his hand to Yuta Okkotsu, his gaze brimming with righteousness. Out of politeness, Yuta Okkotsu took it.
The two began shaking hands just like that.
"You have my approval, Yuta Okkotsu. Getting to see love like this today would make it worth the price of admission even if I died!!! I'll remember you. I won't beat you up for now. I'll come find you during this Goodwill Event. Don't disappoint me."
"Huh? How did I end up being targeted? I haven't even done anything." With Aoi Todo gripping his hand, Yuta Okkotsu felt like crying but had no tears.
After approving of Yuta Okkotsu's answer, Aoi Todo turned his gaze toward Akutagawa Shang, who had been watching from the sidelines.
"Now it's your turn. What kind of woman do you like?"
