Obito Uchiha no longer really cared whether Uchiha Yan knew his identity. Whether he knew or not, it no longer mattered.
Yan had already awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, and he was supposed to go out and kill him? What if he failed? He would have to be insane to do that.
Besides, Uchiha Yan had never mentioned it to anyone from beginning to end. That meant that even if Yan really knew, it would not affect him. At most, he would be used.
What was more, he had obtained the heart too; he simply did not yet know how to remove the cursed seal. Perhaps a sealing ninja would have a way if he took it to one later.

The Third Hokage exhaled a thick cloud of smoke. "You want me to take on three Uchiha with Mangekyō Sharingan alone? You really think highly of me."
"You're the Strongest Hokage of All Time. I believe in you!"
"All right! You go act as bait first, and I'll seize the chance to ambush Uchiha Yan. How about we eliminate one first?"

Danzo sighed. "Forget I said anything! How do you plan to handle Uchiha Yan's return this time? Pretend nothing happened?
"Don't forget, he's been set on ousting you and becoming Hokage himself."
"I've already asked Jiraiya to come back. Uchiha Yan won't do anything foolish either."
At that, the Third Hokage turned his gaze toward Utatane Koharu. "Koharu, go talk to Uchiha Yan."
"There's no need. He's already written to me."
Koharu spoke calmly.
