Rhodes immediately answered, "That's right. We heard that the Zijing Couple, who lead the Amethyst Alliance, are powerful. My brother Pash and I would like to spar with you two."
"You've got some nerve. Haven't you heard of our Amethyst Alliance? Or do you think Zijing and I are easy targets? Do you want to die?!" The male Midgod's voice was utterly overbearing.
As expected of someone who controls the Amethyst Alliance. Such confidence and dominance in his voice, and I can't sense his soul aura at all. An Amethyst Sacred Beast indeed. His soul strength really has reached the limit of a Midgod. Rhodes sensed that this man's aura was a notch stronger than that of Zijing beside him and silently marveled.
A great reputation was never without substance. When others suspected you possessed such strength, you had better truly possess it, or the outcome would be death.
Hearing the man speak this way, Pash glanced at Rhodes. When Rhodes said nothing, he spoke up. "Until we fight, who can say who will live and who will die?"
Pash reached out and summoned his saber, his aura rising steadily.
The Midgods behind the Zijing Couple all moved in unison, summoning their divine artifacts, ready to charge over and hack this blood-haired young man to death at their leader's command.
"Hmph! Stay out of this. I, Lei Jialie, want to see what gives them the confidence to run wild in my Amethyst Alliance!"
"Good. Let's fight!" Pash flew straight at Lei Jialie.
"Go!" Lei Jialie waved his hand.
Streams of divine power appeared out of thin air before him, ultimately forming 108 curved strands of Earth Divine Power that made up a sphere. Pash arrived right in front of the sphere as he flew over.
At once, the 108 strands of divine power began flashing rapidly. In an instant, they could no longer be distinguished as 108 separate strands. Meanwhile, the sphere expanded rapidly, engulfing Pash as he flew straight toward it.
From outside, all Rhodes could see was a spherical yellow barrier enveloping Pash.
Sizzle, sizzle...
Inside the yellow sphere, earthen-yellow light flickered constantly like electrical sparks.
Surges of peculiar force came into being.
"Ah!" Though he had prepared to defend against gravity control before attacking, who could have expected that this was not merely gravity, but repulsive force pushing at him from every direction?
Pash could clearly feel the yellow barrier surrounding him constantly producing surges of repulsive force. Every part of the barrier generated repulsive force, all of it acting on his divine body.
Repulsive force pressed against Pash from every direction.
Pash's entire body was as if it were being constantly compressed toward the center. That terrifying compression brought equally terrifying pain.
"Experience my Gravity Space. If you can't even escape it, you don't deserve to stand before me," Lei Jialie said flatly. Then he turned to Rhodes. "Isn't he your friend? Aren't you going to save him, or will you wait until he's dead before making your move?"
"These paltry tricks of yours can't trap my brother. I have confidence in him. As for you, once your sparring match is over, I'll simply subdue you and your wife. Won't that do?" Rhodes said with utter composure.
"What arrogance!" Even the usually good-tempered Zijing could not hold back a rebuke, but she said nothing more.
Break! Pash roared inwardly.
Inside Gravity Space, Pash's entire body flickered. Destruction Divine Power constantly annihilated the void, naturally annihilating all the gravitational force pressing toward him as well. Pash stared coldly at Lei Jialie and swung his long saber again.
From weakening the effects of gravity to counterattacking, Pash reacted extremely quickly.
Hiss, hiss!
One slash broke Gravity Space.
The saber shadow, filled with an aura of destruction, continued cleaving toward Lei Jialie.
"Hmm!" Lei Jialie, who canceled out the saber shadow's remaining power with a punch, was somewhat shocked as well. This Pash has frightening reaction speed and attack power.
"Lei Jialie, use your full strength. Let's have a battle between men. If this is all the strength you have, your Amethyst Alliance can change hands today." Pash brandished his saber and looked at the Zijing Couple.
"Brat, you'll pay for those words."
A stream of divine power faster than before directly enveloped Pash. "Since you think Gravity Space is inadequate, experience my Amethyst Space!"
Lei Jialie directly activated the Amethyst Sacred Beast's innate divine ability, Amethyst Space. With its faster activation, even more terrifying gravitational and repulsive forces descended upon Pash simultaneously.
Under this move, although Pash used his ultimate technique to dissolve and adapt to the repulsive force, his speed still fell drastically.

Like a bolt of lightning, Lei Jialie flew right before Pash. He swung his arm, launching his fist like a stone from a catapult. Earthen-yellow light faintly mingled with purple as it flowed over the fist, which struck at Pash with tremendous weight and force.
Bang!
His fist struck the tip of Pash's saber directly.
Even as he threw that punch, Lei Jialie used its terrifying force to spin his body. Holding a purple longsword in his left hand, he thrust straight at Pash's head. Whoosh! Ripples spread through space wherever the sword passed, as though it were about to pierce space itself. Its terrifying attack power made faces pale.
Pash threw his left fist almost reflexively!
His fist was covered in scales and wreathed in a dense gray aura, as though it would destroy everything and reduce it all to nothingness. His Destruction Divine Power erupted fully-Voidbreaker!
Boom!
Fist and longsword collided. The space of the Infernal Realm rippled constantly, as though it would burst apart the next second.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Both Pash and Lei Jialie recoiled backward.
What a hard fist! What a sharp sword! Pash stared coldly at his opponent. Lei Jialie had taken a blow from his saber head-on with his fist, yet had suffered little injury. Looking at his own fist, he saw that all the scales on its surface had shattered, and even the bones were slightly injured.
Lei Jialie glanced at Pash's fist. "Your fist and saber are pretty tough too."
The amethyst on Lei Jialie's hand had also cracked a little.
After this brief exchange, both Pash and Lei Jialie understood one thing: they could not let the other strike a vital point. Pash had only withstood that sword strike through his fist, the defensive reinforcement of his original body, and his use of profound mysteries. If that sword pierced his forehead, the scales of his original body alone would never withstand it.
The same outcome applied-
If Pash cleaved Lei Jialie's head with his saber, he could likewise kill his opponent.
Rhodes and all the spectating Midgods of the Amethyst Alliance held their breath. The two Midgods above were simply too powerful.
Every spectator was utterly won over by their strength, each staring intently to see how this battle would unfold.
"Ah! The leader actually transformed first!" Everyone in the Amethyst Alliance paled, including the future Sovereign Zijing.
"Heh, using his full strength already? Is he planning to end this quickly?" Rhodes said to Zijing.
All of Zijing's attention was now on her husband. She glanced at Rhodes without a word. Zijing understood that her husband must have met an evenly matched opponent, or he would not have transformed.
A suit of Amethyst Armor covered Lei Jialie's entire body, protecting every vital point, and he put away the longsword in his hand. His strength was now extremely close to that of his fully transformed Amethyst Sacred Beast form. If his current power could not defeat Pash quickly, transforming into an Amethyst Sacred Beast would not work either.
"Brat, you've now earned the right to leave your name. I'll defeat you with my greatest strength!" Lei Jialie said to Pash.
"My name is Pash. Remember it. You think you can defeat me? Dream on!" Pash replied with an equally cold expression.
As soon as he finished speaking, the image of an enormous blood-colored serpent appeared behind Pash. Pash was also one of the first sacred beasts born between heaven and earth, a Swallow Heaven Python that could devour anything. Though he could not digest divine sparks to strengthen himself like a God-Slaying Rat, his Devouring Innate Divine Ability was still among the most powerful in the world.
Rhodes had experienced Pash's innate divine ability before. Whether physical attacks or soul attacks, it devoured every kind of energy, as though Pash possessed another space within his body. Nothing he swallowed could harm him.
The first time, Rhodes had used Heaven and Earth Extreme Speed to evade Pash's innate divine ability, leaving before it could take effect on him. Naturally, the ability was useless if it could not hit him.
Rhodes had also tested his strongest attack, Ten Thousandfold Thunder Prison, which Pash had swallowed without suffering so much as a scratch. Then the devouring divine ability had acted on Rhodes. Back then, if Rhodes had not used his Willpower, he would certainly have suffered after being locked onto by the devouring divine ability.
If Pash directly used his innate divine ability, he would secure victory outright.
"I've rarely transformed over all these years. You should feel honored." After the blood-colored serpent's image appeared behind Pash, his eyes changed into blood-colored vertical pupils. Those utterly emotionless pupils stared coldly at Lei Jialie as his entire body rapidly transformed, a layer of blood-colored light directly enveloping his divine body.
