Power Progression
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Destruction Midgod | 15 16 | Already a Midgod when introduced. Nearly matches Rhodes in a restrained spar, though Rhodes holds a slight advantage without using Willpower or his innate divine ability. |
| Soul strengthening | 24 | Collects more than a hundred million amethysts together with Rhodes. Spends over a century strengthening his soul and sparring with Rhodes, Lei Jialie, and Zijing. |
| Highgod advancement postponed | 27 | Follows Rhodes’s advice to remain a Midgod and continue honing his comprehension. Lei Jialie’s experience after advancing further discourages an immediate breakthrough. |
| Destruction Highgod | 35 | Advances during another century-long stay in the Amethyst Mountains. His deepening comprehension of the Destruction Rule makes it impossible to keep delaying the breakthrough. |
| Fire Element Divine Clone | 37 | Develops a Fire clone after witnessing lightning trigger an eruption of Earth Fire. Comprehends Explosion, later fully comprehends Fire Element, and seeks a point of alignment between the two mysteries under Rhodes’s guidance. The clone’s rank is not specified. |
| Peak Six-Star Demon combat strength | 42 | Described as standing at the peak of the Six-Star Demon tier, one step short of Seven-Star Demon strength. This is a combat-strength assessment, not a new cultivation realm. |
| Further Destruction comprehension | 47 | His aura strengthens during his duel with Aksu, and Rhodes senses his comprehension accelerating. No new realm or combat tier is confirmed. |
Appearance
Pash appears as a young man with long blood-red hair and matching robes 14 15 39.
- Transformed features: Blood-colored scales cover his body, and a three-inch horn grows from his forehead 21.
- Innate ability manifestation: An enormous blood-colored python appears behind him when he unleashes his devouring power 20 47.
- Combat protection: Blood-colored armor covers his divine body during his duel with Aksu 47.
Personality
Pash is sociable, good-tempered, and fond of wine. He invites passing deities to drink with him and is delighted when Rhodes accepts, interpreting the gesture as trust. Drinking makes him increasingly talkative 14 15.
His strongest enthusiasm is combat. Having cultivated alone and struggled to find evenly matched Midgods, he eagerly befriends Rhodes as a sparring partner. When told about a soul-strengthening treasure guarded by powerful opponents, his first concern is how strong those opponents are—not the treasure itself 15 16.
His confidence sometimes becomes carelessness. He pays insufficient attention to Rhodes’s warning before Kadia ambushes him, then reacts angrily to the embarrassment. Nevertheless, he can acknowledge defeat: after losing to Lei Jialie, he openly accepts the result and warns Rhodes that their opponent may still have hidden strength 17 21.
Pash is also a dependable companion. Despite complaining about boredom and drinking alone, he guards Rhodes throughout more than fifty years of enlightenment in the Star Mist Sea 37.
Abilities & Skills
Destruction Rule
Pash channels Destruction Divine Power through his saber, fists, and the protective layer surrounding his body 15 20 21.
- Saber attacks: Concentrates destructive power into heavy, forceful strikes capable of threatening Lei Jialie’s vital points 15 20.
- Voidbreaker: A scaled-fist attack enveloped in destructive power; directly clashes with Lei Jialie’s sword 20.
- Gravity interference: Annihilates forces acting on his body, allowing him to break Gravity Space and partially resist Amethyst Space 20 21.
- Soul-attack resistance: His Destruction Divine Power reduces one of Rhodes’s soul attacks to a tenth of its original size, rendering it ineffective without Willpower 16.
- Limit: Rapidly changing attraction and repulsion can still disrupt his movements, as demonstrated by his defeat against Lei Jialie 21.
Devouring Innate Divine Ability
Also called Devour or Endless Devouring, Pash’s innate ability swallows attacks and targets into an internal space. It can consume both physical-attack energy and soul-attack energy 20 47 48.
- Attack absorption: Swallows Rhodes’s Ten Thousandfold Thunder Prison without injury 20.
- Emergency defense: Consumes most of the power in Lei Jialie’s finishing punch, preventing potentially fatal injuries 21.
- Protective domain: Forms a devouring field around his body to weaken incoming attacks 47.
- Capturing opponents: Swallows Aksu into another dimension and suppresses him there 47 48.
- Environmental protection: Absorbs the Fog Sea Riot lightning striking toward himself and Rhodes 36.
- Limits: A sufficiently fast opponent can evade before the ability takes effect. Swallowing too much energy temporarily prevents further use, while suppressing a powerful captive occupies much of Pash’s attention and reduces his fighting capacity 20 36 48.
- Divine sparks: Unlike a God-Slaying Rat, he cannot digest divine sparks to strengthen himself 20.
Sacred Beast Physique and Transformation
Pash’s Swallow Heaven Python body gives him exceptional physical resilience, reinforced further by transformation 17 20 21.
- Withstands Kadia’s Midgod ambush with only a minor hand injury that visibly heals 17.
- Uses scales, his original body’s reinforcement, and profound mysteries together to withstand Lei Jialie’s sword strike 20.
- Continues fighting effectively despite shattered scales and an injured upper arm 21.
- His defenses are not absolute: Lei Jialie’s sword could kill him if it struck his forehead directly 20.
Fire Element Cultivation
Pash’s Fire affinity develops from watching heavenly lightning strike an island and cause Earth Fire to erupt 37.
- Comprehends the Profound Mystery of Explosion from that event 37.
- Subsequently completes comprehension of Fire Element 37.
- Works toward aligning the two mysteries, hoping to make his Fire clone a strong combatant 37.
God’s Domain
- Immobilizes all four Lowgod Divine Beasts simultaneously, releasing them only when Rhodes orders him to stop 39.
- Its suppression leaves the four wary of facing his Highgod domain again after they become Midgods 43.
History
Meeting Rhodes
Pash initially cultivates alone, occasionally sparring with other Midgods but finding none who closely match him. On an island in the Star Mist Sea, he invites Rhodes to share wine, then proposes a spar to exchange insights into the laws 14 15.
Their duel establishes them as closely matched opponents, though neither uses his full strength. Pash subsequently asks to travel with Rhodes so they can continue sparring. He eagerly agrees to visit the Amethyst Mountains after learning that two powerful Midgods guard a soul-strengthening treasure there 15 16.
During their journey, Kadia ambushes Pash in Gray Mist Canyon. Pash survives with little injury, then pursues his attacker with destructive saber strikes 17.
The Amethyst Alliance
After Rhodes defeats Bollet and secures passage to the Alliance’s leaders, Pash challenges Lei Jialie. He breaks Gravity Space, transforms, and fights Lei Jialie at close quarters, but ultimately loses when shifting gravitational forces disrupt his rhythm. Devour absorbs most of the decisive blow 19 20 21.
The confrontation develops into friendship. Pash exchanges Destruction insights with Lei Jialie, gathers amethysts with Rhodes, and spends over a century sparring with their hosts. He remains slightly weaker than Lei Jialie and roughly equal to Zijing, although his innate ability often gives him the advantage against her 23 24.
As the Alliance expands, Pash defeats arriving Midgods and brings nearly half its Midgod members into the faction through submission. He remains with the Alliance during its struggle against the Demon Alliance and attends the negotiations for a coalition against the Demon King 27 31 32.
Pash initially postpones becoming a Highgod, but eventually advances during another extended stay in the Amethyst Mountains. Once Rhodes finishes cultivating, the two resume their travels 27 35.
Return to the Star Mist Sea
While crossing the Star Mist Sea, Pash protects himself and Rhodes from a Fog Sea Riot by swallowing the lightning descending toward them. The absorbed energy temporarily exhausts his ability’s capacity, leaving him shaken by the danger 36.
Rhodes remains absorbed in enlightenment for more than fifty years, with Pash guarding him throughout. During their years at sea, Pash also develops his Fire Element Divine Clone. They eventually reach the Aksu Continent and begin searching for Stone Sword Mountain and the Skyrite Mountains 37 38.
The Skyrite Mountains
After years of searching, Pash and Rhodes draw the Four Divine Beasts out of hiding by pretending they intend to destroy their mountain. Pash suppresses them with his domain and later gives them a beating at Rhodes’s instruction 39 40.
The pair remain in the mountains to cultivate. Pash joins Rhodes’s concealed Wind Divine Clone in clearing nearby deities, rejects the Light Alliance’s invitation, and clashes repeatedly with its leader, Aksu. Their campaigns kill several Highgods and deepen the feud 41 42 46.
After the Four Divine Beasts become Midgods, they acknowledge Rhodes as their eldest brother and Pash as their second brother. Pash recounts the Infernal Realm’s wars to them and spends five years helping them adapt to their strength through sparring 44.
Defeating Aksu and Founding the Hall of the Gods
When Aksu invades with the Light Alliance, Rhodes destroys the attacking Midgods and incapacitates most of the Highgods. He then allows Aksu to face Pash in a one-on-one duel for a chance at survival 45 47.
Pash withstands Aksu’s attacks through armor and devouring defenses. When Aksu transforms and launches Light-Speed Slash, Pash counters with Endless Devouring and swallows him. Aksu is not immediately confirmed dead; afterward, Pash must devote most of his attention to suppressing him 47 48.
Rhodes, Pash, and the Four Divine Beasts establish the Hall of the Gods and swear brotherhood before the Overgods, pledging to share prosperity and ruin. Rhodes subsequently assigns the five surviving enemy Highgods to Pash and the Four Divine Beasts to help subdue the surrounding region 48 49.
Equipment & Items
- Blood-colored divine saber — His principal weapon, used to channel Destruction Divine Power 15 20.
- Spatial ring — Holds his collection of fine wines; Rhodes extracts more than half that collection as the price of releasing him from a training session 43.
- Soul amethysts — Gathered jointly with Rhodes and used during their soul-strengthening cultivation in the Amethyst Mountains 24.
- Fine wines — Frequently shares wine with companions, including Heavenly Thunder Liquid from Rhodes and wines obtained during their stay with the Amethyst Alliance 16 23 36.
Relationships
- Rhodes — Traveling companion, sparring partner, sworn elder brother, and fellow founder of the Hall of the Gods. Pash often calls him “Boss” and repeatedly guards him during cultivation 16 35 37 39 48.
- Lei Jialie — Initially an opponent who defeats him; later a close friend, frequent sparring partner, and fellow Destruction cultivator with whom he exchanges insights 21 23 24.
- Zijing — Friend and regular sparring partner during his stay in the Amethyst Mountains 24.
- Four Divine Beasts — Azure Dragon Leiding, White Tiger Laius, Vermilion Bird Nimo, and Black Tortoise Bowen become his sworn younger siblings and fellow founders of the Hall of the Gods 44 48.
- Aksu — Recurring enemy whose numerical advantage previously forced Pash to withdraw. Pash ultimately defeats and swallows him in single combat 46 47.
- Demon King Chris Ding — Enemy of the Amethyst Alliance. His dismissal of Pash without even asking his name visibly enrages him 33 34.
Notable Quotes
“Earlier, I was planning to suggest a spar after sharing a cup with you. After all, the Infernal Realm is so vast, and it isn't easy to come across another Midgod.” 15
“A loss is a loss. I, Pash, can accept defeat.” 21
Trivia
- Rhodes recognizes Pash as the future Blood Peak Sovereign from his memories of the original story. Those memories identify him as a Destruction Sovereign associated with the Sovereign of Destruction and friendly toward Linley’s side and Bebe; this is not a Sovereign advancement shown in the covered events 15.
- Pash gains a reputation as a master of both saber and sword, although the swordsmanship belongs to Rhodes’s concealed Wind Divine Clone 42.
- Recordings of his duel with Lei Jialie circulate beyond the Amethyst Continent, helping spread both combatants’ fame 21.
