In the Demon King's eyes, Rhodes had simply vanished into thin air. The Demon King had not even blinked and could not quite understand it. Was this invisibility, or something else? How could he simply disappear?
A smile still lingered on his face, and his ultimate move using Fusion Profound Mysteries was not ready yet. Where had the man gone?
His soul power kept frantically warning him. The Demon King's scalp tingled, and he realized that this man was now behind him.
Had it not been for his Soul Mutation, which made his soul far stronger than other people's, he might not have sensed Rhodes's attack this time. It was simply too fast. By the time his soul power swept over Rhodes, the attack was about to land on his head.
The Demon King acted with utter decisiveness upon sensing the attack. He hurled his incompletely fused ultimate move straight at Zijing and her husband and immediately transformed. A Demon Horn appeared on his head, and thick scales covered his body. His transformation enlarged his frame, and with a thrust of his head, he dodged Rhodes's lethal strike. His head escaped, but his divine body could not.
The Tribulation-Breaking Divine Sword swept across the Demon King's arm, carrying Thunder condensed until it was like liquid, and sliced the arm clean off.
With the advantage in hand, Rhodes naturally would not let the Demon King recover and fight him for several thousand more exchanges. Wouldn't that be stupid?
The Demon King flew forward, and Rhodes maintained the speed of his Innate Divine Ability, slashing at the Demon King's head again.
"Ah, I'll kill you!!"
The Demon King was somewhat crazed. This man was so fast, and his attack power was bizarrely strong as well. He was clearly a Midgod, and his divine power was also that of a Midgod, so why were his attacks so powerful?

Unexpectedly, the Demon King invited Rhodes to join the Demon Alliance.
To be honest, Rhodes did not want to join any faction. He did not even concern himself with his own faction. There were indeed several reasons he stayed in the Amethyst Alliance. First, he could obtain Amethyst to strengthen his soul. Second, Lei Jialie and his wife were people he got along with, and they were now good friends, so staying here was fairly comfortable. Another reason was that he needed to get used to using his Innate Divine Ability while "restrained and controlled."
There really were not many in the Infernal Realm with stronger restraining abilities than an Amethyst Sacred Beast. Without Amethyst Space, Lei Jialie would have been relatively easy for Rhodes to defeat. Unfortunately, everything had its counter!!!
Most importantly, Rhodes felt happy staying here. Otherwise, who could have kept him?

"First, have your subordinates stop. We'll send people to stop the deities teleporting over now. Then you must swear by the Overgod never to invade the Amethyst Alliance again. The Amethyst Alliance will also guarantee that it won't take the initiative to attack you. As for competition over continents, let that depend on the abilities of the deities under our command. "Fine. I, Chris Ding, swear in the name of the Overgod that I will never attack the Amethyst Alliance again. Hmph! This isn't over."

Lei Jialie watched the Demon King fly away, and his soul power swept over the Amethyst Alliance. It was terrible, too terrible to look at. Of the several thousand Midgods from before, fewer than a thousand remained, and the losses among the Lowgods were even greater. What comforted Lei Jialie somewhat, however, was that Sari Lang, one of his own, was still alive. Moreover, because the Demon King had not yet collected the Divine Sparks of the Highgods who had died this time, there were now six High Godheads on the battlefield.
Looking again at the deities still teleporting over in an endless stream, Lei Jialie no longer felt so pained over his own losses. After absorbing the forces of six alliances this time, his Amethyst Alliance would only grow stronger. It would be several times stronger than before the war.
Sure enough, war profiteering was the way to go!!!
