Typhon was also a powerful mutant beast born during the apocalypse of the Fifth Epoch. These days, it frequently appeared on the lands of Olympus and Egypt, slaughtering living beings and destroying everything.

It had become a mutant beast even before humanity's first awakened individual was born.

Unlike the other mutant beasts born during the apocalypse, Typhon had never been picky about its food. Whether monsters or humans, it turned nothing away and devoured them all.

Typhon's origins were also quite legendary. It had come from a biological research laboratory that existed before the apocalypse. After the apocalypse began, it escaped, plunged into the ocean, and grew step by step into what it was today.

From an experimental subject to the present King of the Sea, Typhon possessed extraordinary intelligence and formidable strength.

It could control many mutant beasts, and countless powerful marine mutant beasts served under it, guarding it.

Combined with its own formidable strength, this had thwarted repeated joint attempts by the Olympus Divine Court and the Egypt Divine Court to exterminate it.

After all, it fought when it could win. When it could not, it fled into the sea under cover of its followers.

Zeus and Ra could do nothing about it. Unless they could kill it in a single blow, they could only let it escape.

Over the years, quite a few members of the Divine Clan had died in battle, yet Typhon remained completely unscathed.

But things were different now. Zeus had broken through to the emperor-rank second step and acquired a berserk form. With Jiang Yang's peerless offensive power added to the mix, they were determined to slay Typhon!

Thus, after Zeus told Jiang Yang about this that day, the Olympus Divine Court (shelter) contacted the Egypt Divine Court (shelter) once again.

They prepared to set out to sea and slay Typhon once more.

Communication was efficient, and they soon agreed on a time.

Several days later.

Jiang Yang, Zeus, and Ra stood on a small hill by the sea, looking at the enormous tribe below.

This was the largest tribe Jiang Yang had seen since awakening, numbering tens of thousands.

"This tribe has completely submitted to Typhon. They no longer make offerings to our Divine Clan."

Zeus pointed at a pile of shattered stone statues at the foot of the hill. The likenesses of the Olympian Gods were still faintly discernible.

The gods struggled to protect mortals, so mortals abandoned the gods and turned instead to the embrace of evil.

"They've already forgotten how many of their people Typhon once ate. Sure enough, fear is another form of faith."

"Typhon is a terrifying enemy. It excels at control, possesses intelligence and formidable strength, and lives in the sea, making it difficult to kill."

Ra spoke gravely.

Behind Ra, a golden divine eagle soaring through the heavens faintly appeared.

As Jiang Yang looked at him, a thought stirred in his mind. So Ra was also close to reaching the emperor-rank second step.

"In that case, let's kill it in this battle!"

Jiang Yang spoke firmly.

"With all three of us here today, I don't think there'll be much of a problem. Now we just have to wait for Typhon to appear."

"Will our bait draw Typhon out?"

"Don't worry. Typhon loathes us, and it's very confident in its own strength. It won't have any qualms about coming out briefly."

Jiang Yang nodded and looked toward the great tribe of Golden Humans.

A Divine Clan warrior was bound to a large tree stripped down to its trunk, his body covered in wounds.

This was the Divine Clan warrior who had deliberately let these Golden Humans capture him yesterday.

Unusually, this great tribe had an A-rank individual among them, so the Divine Clan warrior had deliberately let himself be defeated and captured.

Soon, they prepared to offer him as a sacrifice, sounding the Sea Flute to make their offering to Typhon.

From morning until afternoon, the lingering notes of the Sea Flute never ceased.

Yet Typhon still had not appeared.

"Isn't this Typhon being a little too cautious?"

Behind them, Horus, a chief god of the Egypt Divine Court, grumbled.

Beside him, Hermes watched the bound Divine Clan warrior in the tribe with concern.

"I'm a little worried about Luna."

No sooner had he spoken than towering waves suddenly rose on the boundless, azure sea.

Then an immense mutant beast appeared on the surface.

It had a hundred heads and a hundred arms, with the body of a giant and thick, powerful legs, but its feet were shaped like fish tails.

When it stood by the sea, it seemed to blot out the entire sky. A savage, evil aura swept across the whole coastline.

"Typhon is several times larger than before!"

Ra spoke with a frown.

"Could it have broken through too?"

Zeus narrowed his eyes, watching the incomparably towering Hundred-Headed Giant leap out of the seawater and stride toward the Golden Humans' tribe.

"That is indeed the aura of the emperor-rank second step!"

Jiang Yang closed his eyes to sense it for a moment, then spoke with certainty.

Countless enormous marine beasts followed behind it, including dozens of king-rank sea beasts, while an endless tide of sea beasts spread onto the shore.

Over all these years, the ocean had been unlike the land, where the Divine Clan periodically purged powerful mutant beasts.

Consequently, their numbers were immense.

With its enormous strides, Typhon soon reached the great tribe by the sea.

Countless Golden Humans prostrated themselves on the ground, trembling.

With a casual scoop, Typhon flung several hundred people high into the air, where its hundred heads divided and devoured them.

Then it looked toward the Divine Clan warrior bound in the center of the tribe.

It suddenly let out a mighty roar!

"Roar!"

The sound brimmed with delight and evil.

Within the tribe, an elderly man raised the beast bone in his hand and knelt, beginning to pray devoutly.

"Great god of the sea, Typhon, master of the endless ocean... please allow your servant to present you with a sacrifice."

As Typhon watched his performance, evil flames spewed from all hundred of its heads at once.

Then it slowly lowered one enormous hand, reaching for the Divine Clan warrior below.

Bound to the tree, the Divine Clan warrior Luna watched the sky-blotting hand descend like a mountain. Boundless despair surged through his heart, and his composure began to crumble.

Wasn't I supposed to be bait? Where's my family? Why haven't they appeared yet?

Just as the enormous hand was about to seize him, a streak of blazing white Sword Qi slashed toward the arm like a gale from the highest heavens.

Amid a piercing, explosive clang of colliding steel, Typhon's arm was severed.

Blood gushed out and instantly rained down, drenching countless Golden Humans. Their bodies began to mutate slowly, and they howled in pain.

I'm saved!

High up on the tree, Luna breathed a sigh of relief. Looking up, he saw an enormous Thunder Titan Giant leap high into the air not far away.

And a radiant figure with golden hair and golden eyes, his body wreathed in golden flames, strode through the air with the Platinum Longsword held in a reverse grip!

"Typhon, come and die!"
