In Qin State, Ying Yang discovered that his God Blood true spirit could not return to its original body and set out to Kunlun Mountain to renew himself and arrange safeguards for his immortality.

• Dao Ancestor and other powerful figures entered the eastern vassal states, while the Heavenly Lord and the Angel Clan brought new ideas to the West.

Hu Dali accepted in hopes of moving closer to the king and improving his chances of becoming a Demon King, while Kong Xuan endured the chief’s attempt to entertain him with his daughter.

• After three costly battles against the forces across the great river, Hu Dali regretted his campaign and resented Black Wind’s promised title as a Demon King.
• Kong Xuan introduced himself to Hu Dali as an ordinary Royal Court guard and spoke of the king’s loneliness.
• Kong Xuan announced that the king would gather demons from across the Eastern Wasteland into a Border Demon Race Army to defend the frontier.

The Immortal Lord and two other Quasi-Supremes were left standing outside the Purple Cloud Palace as punishment.

• The Immortal Lord asked Tai Shang why he had helped Jiang Yang send his consciousness across space-time, and Tai Shang asked whether he resented not being made Supreme.

• After the Battle of Changping, Ying Yiren feared the people of Handan and learned that the King of Zhao intended to kill him, so he and Lü Buwei fled the city.
• A hundred Zhao cavalry caught up with Ying Yiren and Lü Buwei in a woodland and attacked their party.
• Jiang Yang charged into the Zhao cavalry alone, killed their officer and many soldiers, and saved Ying Yiren and Lü Buwei.

• Jiang Yang killed the soldiers pursuing Ying Yiren and shot down the fleeing cavalrymen before they could reveal his golden eyes.
• A Zhao official arrived at Jiang Yang’s courtyard to seize Ying Zheng, but Jiang Yang stopped the soldiers and argued that Zhao should keep the child alive.

After learning that the Yin-Yang School had killed King Xiaowen and was making demands of the new king, Jiang Yang set out to confront its leader, Eastern Emperor Taiyi.

• Jiang Yang taught Ying Zheng the classics, exposed him to danger and distant wonders, and tempered his divine soul with God Blood while teaching him to cultivate his will.
• When Ying Zheng was eight, Ying Zichu became crown prince and arranged for Ying Zheng and Zhao Ji to return to Qin, and Jiang Yang accompanied them, killing bandits and attackers along the way.
