Background and History
Yue is a transmigrator who operates in both the Naruto world and the Soul Society. His abilities carry across worlds: he can use ninjutsu in the Soul Society and spiritual power in the Naruto world. His Grass Village upbringing gives him access to ninja tools, while his father, Fuma Ryoma, trained the body's previous owner in tracking from childhood 4 17 18.
Seeking tougher opponents, Yue travels to the lawless Soul Society Outskirts and settles in District 77. He fights repeatedly there, often limiting his use of ninjutsu to develop his swordsmanship, body and will. He later ventures into Districts 78 and 79 6 10 11 29.
Back in the ninja world, Yue kills his teacher Masada during a Grass Seed plot, rescues Ryuga, and takes ninjutsu scrolls from the conspirators. A later stay with Yahiko's Akatsuki gives him guidance in ninjutsu before he returns to Grass Village 14 16 18 23 24. During an exchange visit to Konoha, he defeats numerous young opponents; his match with Might Guy ends when Minato and Might Duy intervene 43 50 51.
Yue subsequently takes charge of the Fuma Clan's training and plans its integration into Grass Village. As Anbu captain, he gains access to village resources and learns its political structure. He works with Ryuga to remove members of the leadership, then rises to become Grass Shadow 59 66 67 69 201.
In the Soul Society, Yue serves in the Seventh Division, leads a Hueco Mundo mission, and eventually becomes its captain. Soon after his appointment, he is imprisoned at the Second Division headquarters while the Gotei 13 investigates a case involving Aizen 154 163 172 187 190.

He studies both techniques and political situations closely. In Grass Village, he presents himself as a compliant Anbu captain while learning the elders' habits and gaining access to their resources 20 66.

Yue retains access to ninja and spiritual abilities across the two worlds. Training in the Soul Society strengthens his body and spirit; on returning to the Naruto world, he also benefits from increased chakra reserves and combat experience 4 18.
