Before Fang Yuan’s arrival, Qian Xunji had discovered Bibi Dong’s twin Martial Souls and appointed her Spirit Hall’s Holy Maiden. He regarded her as a daughter and, at this point in the timeline, had never considered assaulting her. Defending himself against accusations of fathering Fang Yuan, he stated that his days as pope were occupied with official business and reviewing documents 2 4 5.

Revelations About the Original Future

The future Angel God Qian Renxue identifies Qian Xunji and Bibi Dong as her parents. She reveals that her conception resulted from Qian Xunji sexually assaulting Bibi Dong in a secret chamber. These events have not yet occurred when she exposes them to Spirit Hall 2 4.

Qian Renxue connects his actions to Bibi Dong’s intended betrayal of Spirit Hall and elopement with Yu Xiaogang. Qian Daoliu explicitly rejects this as justification for assaulting her. Qian Xunji values exceptional talent and the prestige it brings. He welcomes Fang Yuan warmly because he initially believes the boy is a lost descendant of the sparsely populated Six-Winged Angel lineage. After discovering Fang Yuan’s innate level-thirty soul power, he eagerly seeks to become his teacher and imagines gaining his father’s recognition 1 2.

Proud and sensitive to public humiliation, he repeatedly protests when Qian Daoliu beats him before his disciple and subordinates. His central objection is that he is being punished for acts he has not committed. His resentment also turns petty: when Bibi Dong faces suspicion, he pretends to be unconscious rather than defend her, wanting her to experience the disbelief he has just endured 3 5 6.

Fang Yuan’s Arrival and the Family Misunderstanding

Qian Xunji’s attempt to recruit Fang Yuan becomes a public scandal when the boy’s angel Martial Soul addresses him as “Father.” Qian Renxue’s divine aura draws Qian Daoliu and the Enshrined to the Pope’s Hall. Misreading the situation, Qian Daoliu assumes Fang Yuan is Qian Xunji’s abandoned son and beats him despite his denials 1 2 3 4.

Qian Renxue then explains her origin and reveals his future assault on Bibi Dong. Qian Daoliu beats him more severely, leaving him with cracked bones and unable to stand. Qian Xunji loses both his reputation and the chance to become Fang Yuan’s master 4 5 7 8.

Confrontation with His Future Fate

When Fang Yuan manifests Rakshasa Bibi Dong, Qian Xunji feigns unconsciousness to avoid attracting her anger. He subsequently learns that she devoured him in the original future. Qian Daoliu also blames him for Qian Renxue’s future failings, only for her to point out that his death prevented him from raising her 8 9.

Efforts to Prevent Spirit Hall’s Destruction

Qian Xunji volunteers to lead an attack against the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan to prevent Yu Xiaogang from deceiving Bibi Dong. Qian Daoliu rejects extermination in favor of investigation, warning that premature aggression could unite the sects and empires against Spirit Hall 10.

After Tang Hao is identified as Tang San’s father, Qian Xunji proposes killing him. Qian Daoliu again refuses: according to Fang Yuan’s information, Tang San could still be born through another infant, making him harder to locate. Qian Xunji instead passes on the order to find the Blue Silver Emperor 28.

Erosion of His Subordinates’ Loyalty

Fang Yuan’s access to rare resources increasingly draws Qian Xunji’s subordinates toward the Holy Son. Yue Guan openly pledges loyalty after learning about the Immortal Herbs, provoking Qian Xunji’s anger. Gui Mei likewise decides to support Fang Yuan, and Yue Guan later resolves to encourage that allegiance further 29 30 32.
