Background

Dai Mubai was a prince of the Star Luo Dai Family and the younger brother of Dai Weisi. Suppressed and repeatedly targeted by Dai Weisi, he fled the Star Luo Empire alone at age twelve, believing that remaining there would lead to his death. Despite his outwardly indulgent life in Suo Tuo City, he continued cultivating and planned to survive the succession struggle through greater personal strength and influence. 34

He carried resentment toward those who humiliated him and was willing to endure unfavorable situations until he could retaliate. After the Royal Fighting Team publicly humiliated him, he ordered his subordinates to investigate and kill the Soul Master with the Fist Martial Soul—Tang San—whom he considered a target he could safely eliminate. 36 37

Dai Mubai was proud, status-conscious, and intensely vindictive. He viewed humiliation as an affront not only to himself but to the Star Luo Imperial Family, and he repeatedly promised himself that he would repay perceived slights many times over. 37 47

He could also be calculating when outmatched. During the Royal Fighting Team confrontation, he deliberately acted helpless because he knew further resistance would bring harsher punishment. 36 In Shrek, he often displayed leadership instincts, directing the group during crises and emphasizing that improving their strength took precedence over reckless action. 80 83

His treatment of Zhu Zhuqing revealed a possessive and dismissive side. Although she was his fiancée, he regarded her as a burden, abandoned her when he fled Star Luo, and still objected to anyone else approaching her. 71

Dai Mubai confronted Oslo and the Royal Fighting Team after becoming interested in Ye Lingling. He defeated Oslo initially, but Yu Tianheng's group cornered him, beat him, and forced him to apologize. The humiliation intensified his hatred of Lu Feng, who watched with amusement. 35 36

Afterward, Dai Mubai ordered his subordinates to investigate and eliminate Tang San, believing him to be a vulnerable target among the group. 37

Soul Fighting Arena Rivalry

Dai Mubai fought Lu Feng in the Soul Fighting Arena, where Lu Feng sought fragments of Dai Mubai's White Tiger Martial Soul and cultivation technique. Though Dai Mubai withstood a direct exchange better than Lu Feng expected, he was ultimately defeated. 47

After obtaining his third Soul Ring, Dai Mubai challenged Lu Feng again at level 34. He activated White Tiger Protective Cover, White Tiger Blazing Light Wave, and White Tiger Vajra Transformation together, but Lu Feng blocked the attack with one punch. Dai Mubai was devastated to learn that Lu Feng's third Soul Ring came from the Sacred White Tiger he had wanted. 68

His protest against the arena's fairness resulted in disqualification, after which he chose to stop participating in soul fighting for six months. 68 69

Shrek Academy

At Shrek, Dai Mubai acted as an informal leader among several students, particularly Ma Hongjun. He directed the group to leave the dangerous Star Dou Great Forest, organize Oscar's Soul Ring hunt, and focus on becoming stronger rather than waiting indefinitely for missing companions. 80 83

During a mercenary ambush, he attempted to negotiate, then fought alongside his classmates against stronger Soul Masters. He was eventually overwhelmed. 84 He later sustained severe injuries during the Fierce God Team battle but recovered with treatment. 107

Continental Tournament

Dai Mubai led Shrek's aggressive opening assault against the Royal Academy, immediately using White Tiger Vajra Transformation and White Tiger Meteor Shower. 131

Blazing Fire Academy identified him as Shrek's core member and focused a four-person pincer attack on him. He answered with Vajra Transformation and Meteor Shower but was severely injured and knocked unconscious; Zhu Zhuqing prevented further damage and secured Shrek's victory. 134 135

Capture and Death

Before Shrek's match against the Star Luo Team, Dai Mubai accepted an invitation he believed came from Zhu Zhuqing. He was instead lured into a hotel room by Lu Feng impersonating Zhu Zhuqing, given the Singular Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum, drugged, and restrained. 144

Lu Feng revealed that he had drained Dai Mubai's Soul Power, isolated him within the Four Symbols Array, and devoured him. Lu Feng then transformed into Dai Mubai's likeness and declared himself the third young master of the Dai Family. 145
