When Gu Shengge appeared before the Ice Empress with the Snow Empress, the Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion gazed at the Snow Empress, who nestled against him like a little bird seeking shelter.

Her four-segmented forebody was covered in special scales-or, more accurately, protrusions.
They were hexagonal protrusions that glittered with incomparably brilliant luster, like diamonds.
These protrusions densely covered her forebody and her six long, powerful legs, radiating unparalleled brilliance beneath the light reflected off the snow.
It was as though she had become a source of light at that moment, refracting countless dazzling rays.
Her two front pincers were each a meter long, likewise covered in those strange, diamondlike hexagonal protrusions. Only the claws at their very tips were silvery-white like her mouthparts, with a mirrorlike sheen.
And her eyes, which watched him with fury and jealousy, were yellow, like two yellow diamonds set into her body. They too were hexagonal, their crystalline yellow light flickering with the glitter of precious jewels.
If her upper body was already dazzling enough, then the long, raised tail at the rear of her body was the heart of all that splendor.
Unlike the many-jointed tails of ordinary scorpions, the Ice Empress's long tail had only five segments. Each was an alluring emerald green, gleaming with a luster full of life. All five shared the same color; the segment nearest her upper body was the widest, and they grew narrower toward the end.
At the final segment, her tail hook, likewise studded with diamondlike granules, rose high. At its very tip was a hooked point that also flashed with a silvery-white, mirrorlike sheen.
How could a Soul Beast as dazzling as a gemstone not deserve to be called beautiful?
As expected of the Ice Empress. She truly was beautiful to the utmost.
While Gu Shengge studied the Ice Empress, she too stared fixedly at him.
Gu Shengge's looks, which never failed him with the opposite sex, might as well not have existed in the Ice Empress's eyes.
But his bearing was very attractive to her.
