Joining Gu Shengge

The Ice Empress lived in the Far North and had secretly loved the Snow Empress for an unspecified number of years. When Gu Shengge brought the Snow Empress to meet her, her happiness at their reunion turned to jealousy: the Snow Empress clung to him and paid her little attention 19.

Gu Shengge deliberately provoked her by asking the Snow Empress to kiss him. When the Ice Empress reacted angrily, the Snow Empress directed killing intent at her, leaving her heartbroken. She nevertheless accepted Gu Shengge’s offer to follow him because it would let her remain near the Snow Empress 19.

After obtaining human form, she entered the Snow House looking for the Snow Empress and discovered the pair engaged in intimate cultivation. Gu Shengge subsequently pulled her over with his soul power and pressured her to participate, saying he would otherwise continue with Xue’er. She initially justified her participation as protecting the Snow Empress, but the narration later describes her developing genuine feelings for him 20 21.

The Hidden Ice Palace

The Ice Empress accompanied Gu Shengge and the Snow Empress to an inheritance site beneath the Far North. Despite having lived in the region for many years, she had never discovered the ice-crystal palace and could not detect it with her spiritual power even after reaching it 21 22.

While the Snow Empress received her predecessor’s inheritance, the Ice Empress remained with Gu Shengge inside the palace.
