Titled Douluo — Clear Sky Douluo 29 Retrospectively identified as the youngest Titled Douluo in the continent’s history. His exact soul-power rank and breakthrough circumstances are not given. His nine-ring configuration is revealed during his arrival at Spirit Hall 25.

Background / History

Earlier Conflict with Spirit Hall

Tang Hao was the son of Tang Tian, a Titled Douluo and former master of the Clear Sky Sect 1.

Twenty years before his final battle, Qian Xunji led an attack against him, accompanied by Yue Guan and Gui Mei. Tang Hao gravely wounded Qian Xunji and broke the two elders’ combined Two Extremes Stillness Domain with his Clear Sky Hammer 28. The Clear Sky Sect subsequently sealed its mountain and withdrew from public affairs 33.

Spirit Hall’s official account attributed Qian Xunji’s subsequent death to those injuries. Qian Chenming challenged that account, accusing Bibi Dong of killing him; Golden Crocodile likewise questioned why injuries treatable with Spirit Hall’s resources had proved fatal 9.

During his years of wandering, Tang Hao attacked Spirit Hall branches to vent his anger 25.

Intervention at the Pope’s Palace

After Xiao Wu’s identity was exposed and Qian Chenming ordered her detained, Tang Hao intervened to protect Tang San. He hurled Chrysanthemum and Ghost Douluo away, summoned his Clear Sky Hammer, and declared that he would demolish Spirit Hall before leaving 24 25.

Initially dismissing the youthful-looking pope, Tang Hao was shaken by Qian Chenming’s five black and four red soul rings. Although his original objective was to take Tang San and Xiao Wu away, he refused to retreat after his public boast, fearing that Clear Sky Douluo would become a laughingstock 26.

Qian Chenming evaded his opening attack, cut his cheek with the Angel Holy Sword, and trapped him inside the Divine Envoy Domain 26.

Defeat and Execution

Tang Hao’s Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer failed to penetrate Qian Chenming’s Holy Shield. The shield also drained his soul power, preventing him from completing the full sequence. His subsequent Clear Sky True Body was shattered by Angel Sword Slash, throwing him against the domain’s barrier 27.

As a final gamble, Tang Hao detonated all nine soul rings and concentrated their power into his damaged hammer. Qian Chenming countered with Angel’s Wrath, destroyed the hammer again, and left him unable to gather soul power or defend himself 28 29.

Tang San rushed forward to intervene, but Qian Chenming beheaded Tang Hao with the Angel Holy Sword. The pope publicly justified the execution by citing his intrusion, attacks on Spirit Hall members, and destruction of its buildings 29.

Aftermath

Two hundred-thousand-year soul bones emerged from Tang Hao’s corpse and were taken by Qian Chenming. The pope then retrieved another soul bone and Ah Yin’s living Blue Silver Emperor seed from a cave behind a waterfall near Holy Soul Village 29 30.

Tang Hao’s death helped establish Qian Chenming’s reputation across the continent. Nevertheless, the pope considered it insufficient repayment for Spirit Hall’s earlier humiliation and ordered preparations to destroy the Clear Sky Sect 33 34.

Appearance

  • Clothing: A tattered robe that gives him a beggar-like appearance 25.
  • Skin: Bronze-colored 25.
  • Hair: Tangled and nest-like, covering half his face 25.
  • Eyes: Yellowed, with an intimidating, piercing gaze 25.

Personality

Tang Hao is fiercely protective of Tang San, entering the confrontation at Spirit Hall with a direct warning against harming his son. His hostility toward Spirit Hall extends beyond that immediate danger: he treats his arrival as an opportunity to destroy the institution he had previously attacked through its branches 25.

His pride influences his decisions under pressure. He initially judges Qian Chenming by his youthful appearance, then refuses to withdraw even after recognizing the threat because doing so would damage his reputation 25 26. Cornered and badly wounded, he commits to a lethal final attack through ring detonation; only after its failure does unmistakable fear appear in his eyes 28 29.
