"Your granddaughter's case is even simpler."
As Yun Tian spoke, he walked toward the aromatic silk beauty.
"The poison afflicting your granddaughter is much milder than yours, and her Martial Soul's toxins are nowhere near as powerful as yours either."
After picking the aromatic silk beauty, Yun Tian returned to Dugu Bo.
"The aromatic silk beauty. Once she takes it, your granddaughter's Martial Soul will be able to break through its shackles and evolve. When that happens, although her Martial Soul will lose its toxins, it will also become stronger."
As he handed the aromatic silk beauty to Dugu Bo, Yun Tian also explained how to take it.
"You recognize everything here?"
Only then did Dugu Bo realize this.
He had lived for so many years and seen countless rare and unusual things, yet when he first entered this valley, he had not recognized a single thing growing here.
"I read about them in an ancient book before. I've always loved studying ancient books and the like."
Dugu Bo nodded at his words, though the hobby Yun Tian described was rather strange and did not quite fit someone his age.
But the continent was so vast that no strange occurrence would really seem strange.
"What's your name?"
Only after putting the three immortal herbs into his Storage Soul Tool did Dugu Bo remember that he still did not know the name of the person before him.
"Yun Tian."
Dugu Bo nodded and glanced around.
"I need to return to Heaven Dou City for at least a week. You can cultivate here in the meantime. With that poison pill of mine and the dense Soul Power here, one day of cultivation here will be better than five days outside."
"Also, if you want any of these flowers and plants, feel free to take a few."
He did not recognize these flowers and plants, much less know what they did, so giving them away did not pain him much.
If it could resolve the problems with his and his granddaughter Dugu Yan's Martial Souls, never mind these flowers and plants-even if he had to...
Ahem, even if he had to toil like an ox or a horse for five years... one year, that was not out of the question.
At Dugu Bo's words, Yun Tian's eyes immediately lit up. This was precisely the moment he had been waiting for.
"Thank you, Senior."
After Dugu Bo left, Yun Tian first picked the two immortal herbs, the singular velvet sky chrysanthemum and the Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew.
One strengthened the body, while the other strengthened spiritual power.
It was just a pity that Yun Tian had no eye technique. If he had one, perhaps it could have grown stronger with the help of the Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew.
Yun Tian went to the spring, sat cross-legged, and took the singular velvet sky chrysanthemum and the Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew one after the other.
Absorbing and refining them took a full eight hours.
Eight hours later, a powerful surge of Soul Power swept across the entire valley from within the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
"Two immortal herbs, and they only raised my Soul Power to level fifty-seven."
Although he was a little disappointed with the result, it was still acceptable.
The reason Tang San and the others had gained so much Soul Power after taking immortal herbs ultimately came down to their Soul Power Levels being too low at the time.
That was why a single immortal herb had raised their Soul Power by six or seven levels.
Yun Tian went to the top of the valley and gazed into the distance.
After taking the Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew, everything in his vision was noticeably clearer. He could even faintly see the circulation of Soul Power in Soul Beasts as they fought.
He looked at his arms again. Although his skin looked no different from before,
in terms of toughness, the difference was like that between wrought iron and specialty steel.
After returning to the valley, Yun Tian released Sang Biao.
With Soul Power this dense, it would have been far too wasteful not to cultivate.
Yun Tian walked to the edge of the spring and looked at the two immortal herbs there.
The octagonal mysterious ice grass and the infernal delicate apricot.
Looking at these two immortal herbs, Yun Tian found himself in something of a dilemma.
These two immortal herbs had to be taken simultaneously, or the backlash from either one's power would be fatal.
Only by taking both at once could their medicinal powers neutralize each other.
But the problem was that the infernal delicate apricot contained an ultimate fire poison. If he ate it, would it really not cause some irreversible damage to Sang Biao?
"Woof, woof!"
Just as Yun Tian was considering how to deal with the two immortal herbs, Sang Biao suddenly barked twice at his feet, then charged straight out.
Almost in the blink of an eye, he swallowed both immortal herbs growing over the spring.
Yun Tian was just about to shout for him to stop when, to his surprise, he discovered pure energy pouring endlessly into his body.
This energy brought none of the discomfort Tang San had experienced when taking these two immortal herbs.
When Yun Tian looked at Sang Biao, the latter acted as though nothing had happened.
"That impressive?"
Yun Tian murmured.
He had been wondering whether consuming the ultimate fire poison in the infernal delicate apricot would cause Sang Biao some irreversible damage.
But now it seemed his concerns had been entirely unnecessary. Sang Biao was tougher than he had imagined.
"A week at the latest. In other words, I have five days left."
With five days and his current speed, there were plenty of places he could go.
Holy Soul Village, for instance.
He had been keeping that Soul Bone of Ah Yin's in mind.
It granted flight and recovery abilities, and most importantly, it was the Soul Bone of Little Scumbag's birth mother.
Over the next week, Yun Tian spent each day cultivating with Sang Biao.
Every so often, he went out to find a few Ten-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts to spar with and test his current strength.
Boom!
At some point seven days later, a powerful surge of Soul Power suddenly appeared above the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
When Yun Tian emerged from cultivation, he discovered that Dugu Bo had appeared before him at some unknown point.
"Level fifty-nine!?"
Dugu Bo stared at Yun Tian. He clearly remembered that when he left seven days ago, the boy had only been level fifty-two!
How had he reached level fifty-nine in just seven days?!
"Senior, has your poison been cured?"
Yun Tian looked at Dugu Bo before him. His once emerald-green hair had now turned black.
His breathing no longer carried its former heaviness, and the foul stench that had all but marinated into him had now vanished without a trace.
At his words, Dugu Bo slowly nodded, recalling the life he had led for half a lifetime, as well as his son and daughter-in-law, who had died from their Martial Souls' backlash.
This Titled Douluo who had roamed unchallenged across the continent actually felt his eyes grow slightly moist.
"If only you had been born a few decades earlier and come a few years sooner."
Dugu Bo turned away and wiped his tears. By the time he turned back, he had returned to normal.
"Boy, thank you."
The next instant, Dugu Bo actually clasped his hands and bowed slightly to Yun Tian.
"Senior, you're giving me far too much honor." Yun Tian shifted to the side.
"All right, I'll take the poison pill out of your body now."
As he finished speaking, Soul Power pulsed in Dugu Bo's hand.
Yun Tian felt a warm sensation rise from his abdomen all the way to his throat, and finally, a poison pill flew straight out of Sang Biao's mouth beside him.
Dugu Bo was dumbfounded at the sight.
"Weren't you the one who swallowed that poison pill?"
"He's my Martial Soul, and he has a physical body too, so it's perfectly normal for it to fly out of his mouth, isn't it?" Yun Tian said with a smile.
