Dugu Bo fell silent for a while, then casually tossed the Poison Pill in his hand into his Storage Soul Tool.
"You may leave."
After speaking, Dugu Bo took an Emerald Token out of his Storage Soul Tool.
"I, Dugu Bo, can never fully repay what I owe you. If you ever need this old man's help, just take this token to my residence outside Heaven Dou City and find me. Whatever it is, I'll help."
With that, Dugu Bo tossed the token straight to Yun Tian.
Yun Tian looked at the token in his hand. A trace of warmth still lingered on it.
He had to admit, Dugu Bo was a man of genuine character!
Loyal and honorable enough.
"Thank you," Yun Tian said mildly.
"Wait." Just as Yun Tian was about to leave, Dugu Bo spoke again.
Yun Tian turned to look at Dugu Bo, a hint of puzzlement in his eyes.
"Take a look at the things here and take them all with you. I don't recognize these medicinal herbs either. Leaving them here would only bury their worth."
At those words, Yun Tian shook his head.
"Senior, let's leave them here for now. If I need them, I certainly won't stand on ceremony with you."
There was little need for him to carry these things around. He might as well leave them here.
Perhaps these immortal herbs might even come in handy for something later.
Then Yun Tian mounted Sang Biao, formed another Ice Bridge, and made his way out of the valley.
After leaving Sunset Forest, Yun Tian did not return to Suotuo City right away. He still had five days, after all.
That was more than enough time for him to travel to Holy Soul Village at full speed, pick up a Soul Bone, and return to Suotuo City.
Soon, he and Sang Biao became a streak of light heading toward Holy Soul Village.
Two days later, after traveling day and night without stopping, Yun Tian finally reached the entrance to Holy Soul Village.
Yun Tian's gaze swept straight past the little thatched hut before him and settled on the mountain behind Holy Soul Village.
"I heard that, at this stage, Tang Hao left the Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone in a cave on the mountain behind Holy Soul Village instead of carrying it with him."
Yun Tian headed straight toward the mountain.
Once he reached it, Yun Tian spread out his spiritual power and carefully searched the area.
He soon detected a spot where the soul power was somewhat denser than elsewhere.
Yun Tian slowly turned his gaze toward a cave opening halfway up the mountain before him.
"That should be it."
Yun Tian pushed off lightly with both feet, using his own strength and the protruding footholds on the mountain to leap up to the cave entrance.
As for Sang Biao, he was still resting.
Standing before the cave entrance, Yun Tian was met by a wave of dampness.
Yun Tian looked at the surrounding walls, where moss could be seen almost everywhere.
In some places, water was even dripping down.
The cave was small, almost its entire interior visible at a glance.
Yun Tian looked at the little mound of earth in the middle of the cave.
A stalk of Blue Silver Grass was planted on the mound, with only a small hole above it.
The sunlight it needed to grow shone down through that little hole.
At the sight, Yun Tian raised his eyelids slightly.
"This should be Tang San's mother, right?"
Yun Tian walked up to the little mound and sensed what was there.
The life force of the Blue Silver Grass on the mound before him was extremely weak.
"Interesting. Such a tiny hole, and by the looks of it, sunlight can only get in for about an hour each day."
Yun Tian looked up at the little hole overhead, growing increasingly curious about Tang Hao's true intentions toward Ah Yin.
The sunlight coming through that little hole could only sustain Ah Yin's most basic signs of life.
In such an environment, Ah Yin could be said to have been living a life worse than death all along.
Yun Tian shook his head. What did it matter what Tang Hao's attitude toward Ah Yin really was?
Yun Tian looked around, thoroughly sweeping the surrounding walls with his spiritual power.
Finally, Yun Tian walked up to a wall. There was a fist-sized mark on it, surrounded by a ring of fine cracks.
Yun Tian struck the mark with a heavy punch.
Clang!
At once, the sound of something heavy hitting the ground came from behind him.
Yun Tian turned to look and saw a large, pitch-black iron box before him.
Yun Tian slowly crouched down and opened the iron box.
A rich surge of life force immediately washed over him, bringing an immense sense of comfort.
A right leg bone shimmering with light lay quietly inside the iron box.
Delight flashed in Yun Tian's eyes, and he reached in and took out the Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone.
Yun Tian immediately sat cross-legged and pressed the Soul Bone against his right leg.
Only after an hour had passed did Yun Tian fully absorb the Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone.
The soul power within the Soul Bone pushed Yun Tian past the Level 59 threshold, taking him straight to Level 60.
"Not bad. Level 60."
After sensing his current soul power, Yun Tian nodded to himself.
He was in no particular hurry about his Sixth Soul Skill. He would have to plan it out carefully.
Yun Tian immediately summoned Sang Biao and sped toward Suotuo City.
Three days later, on the fifteenth day of this trip, Yun Tian finally arrived back in Suotuo City.
As soon as he reached Suotuo City's gates, Yun Tian spotted Elder Xu approaching from afar, his face full of worry.
"Elder Xu."
Yun Tian waved and called out to Elder Xu.
Hearing the familiar voice, Elder Xu, whose face had been full of worry, finally let out a deep breath of relief.
"You're finally back. If you'd been any later, I would've gone out looking for you."
Elder Xu came up to Yun Tian and circled him once. Only after confirming that Yun Tian was safe and sound did he breathe a sigh of relief.
"Thank you for your concern, Elder Xu," Yun Tian said, bowing slightly to him.
"Let's go. While you were away, Bing'er and those girls practically turned this place upside down. I'll tell you all about it on the way."
The two then headed toward the Soto Great Soul Arena.
A short while later, they arrived at the Soto Great Soul Arena.
Just as they reached the door to their lounge for this visit, noisy chatter came from inside.
"Bing'er, why has that little... little brother of yours been away so long? Why isn't he back yet?"
Xue Wu's voice was unmistakable. Hearing it, Elder Xu pushed the door open.
The noisy room instantly fell so quiet that not even a crow or sparrow could be heard.
When Shui Bing'er saw Yun Tian, she was the first to call out, and only then did things return to normal.
"Little Tian, you're back."
Shui Bing'er ran up to Yun Tian, reached out, and felt him up and down.
"Mm, good. No missing parts. Looks like your trip home went pretty smoothly."
Yun Tian glanced at Xue Wu, then at Shui Bing'er.
Well, she'd been led astray.
"Little Tian, our next opponents are pretty strong. How about you go up and fight a match for us?"
Shui Bing'er pulled Yun Tian over to the sofa and pressed him down onto it.
With delicate fragrance drifting freely around him, Yun Tian calmly coughed twice, then said to Shui Bing'er:
"Rules have to stand firm, so being a Soul Master doesn't burn a hole in your heart."
"Since I said when we set out that I wouldn't take the field, I won't. So, Bing'er, you'll still have to fight the next match yourselves."
Before you continue
