Childhood in Soul King Village

Xu Jie transmigrated from Blue Star but did not recover his previous-life memories during his first six years. He grew up as an orphan in Soul King Village, beside Holy Soul Village, supported by meals from its families. Zhang Tie, the former village chief, had brought him back from outside the village and housed him 1 26.

At six, Xu Jie awakened innate full soul power and the Mount Lu martial soul. Although Su Yuntao dismissed the mountain as worthless, the village chief valued the chance to produce a Soul Master and gave Xu Jie the village’s work-study place at Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy 1.

Refusing Yu Xiaogang

At the academy entrance, Xu Jie encountered Tang San and Yu Xiaogang. Meeting them triggered the awakening of his past-life memories, allowing him to recognize Yu Xiaogang’s shortcomings. Xu Jie values freedom over inherited power. He willingly gives up God King cultivation rather than remain bound to the divine path, choosing a secluded life of immortal cultivation instead. He is similarly unmoved by Yu Xiaogang’s threats and sees little reason to argue with someone incapable of understanding his circumstances 1.

His treatment of Soul King Village shows gratitude toward those who raised him: he offers both a cultivation opportunity and a materially secure alternative. He also takes Big Yellow and Big White with him rather than abandon the animals closest to him 1.

Despite his confidence, Xu Jie accepts instruction from a genuinely superior cultivator. When the being behind the Sky Curtain System identifies flaws in his state of mind, he respectfully seeks guidance and changes his way of life 18.
