Mount Lu
- Scale: Mount Lu rises over a hundred thousand feet above the deep sea, with precipitous slopes and ancient trees 1 19.
- Concealment: Year-round immortal mist and spiritual mist form natural cloud cover that obscures the mountain. Bo Saixi cannot see Mount Lu clearly from outside it 1 28.
- Restricted perception: Gu Yuena’s divine-sense range shrinks drastically inside the mountain, despite her cultivation being only a step below God King 19.
- Cultivation environment: Mount Lu produces immortal qi and spiritual qi because Xu Jie merged his martial soul with Douluo Star. Bo Saixi recognizes the surrounding energy as higher in quality than the soul power she knows 1 28.
- Overseas access: Visitors seeking the residence board a ship at Vast Sea City. The golden light of its Sky Curtain rewards provides a direction toward its location 12 29.
Residence and Facilities

History
Establishment in Seclusion
Xu Jie chose immortal cultivation over retaining his innate God King cultivation. He merged his Mount Lu martial soul into Douluo Star in the deep sea, far from the continent, specifically to avoid interruptions to his cultivation 1.
Before departing, he offered the people of Soul King Village a choice between accompanying him overseas and receiving wealth. The villagers chose wealth, while Big Yellow and Big White remained behind; Xu Jie decided to take the two animals with him to cultivate immortality 1.
Exposure by the Sky Curtain
The Sky Curtain System revealed Mount Lu Residence as the strongest of Douluo’s five ranked forces. Its existence was previously unknown to figures including Ning Fengzhi, Gu Yuena, Tang Xiao, and Qian Daoliu. The revelation that it contained only one human and two monster spirits caused widespread astonishment 9 10.
The ranking rewarded all three inhabitants and announced that the faction standings would be reassessed in one year. The descending reward lights also exposed Mount Lu’s location, prompting outsiders to seek it out 11 12.
Yu Xiaogang publicly claimed that Golden Core cultivators surpassed Mahāyāna cultivators. Big Yellow rejected the claim and confirmed that Xu Jie was his master, undermining speculation that Xu Jie was merely a student of the two monster spirits 13 15.
Xu Jie’s Departure and Gu Yuena’s Admission
After his breakthrough, Xu Jie received advice from the Sky Curtain System that seclusion alone would not allow him to transcend mortal life. He left for the Douluo Continent and entrusted the residence to Big Yellow and Big White 18.
Gu Yuena arrived seeking cooperation against the Divine Realm. Her encounter with Big Yellow escalated into a fight, during which he restrained her with one forepaw. He subsequently removed one of her hind legs and supplied a pill that regenerated it; Big White cooked the leg into a medicinal meal shared at the residence 19 20.
Impressed by their cultivation, Gu Yuena asked to learn their methods. Big White accepted her as Xu Jie’s disciple in his absence and began teaching her the Qi Refining Chapter 21.
Visitors and Prospective Disciples
Bo Saixi visited on the Sea God’s orders to obtain the residence’s immortal-cultivation techniques and warn its inhabitants against associating with the Soul Beast Clan. Big Yellow refused to surrender the methods, saying that the Sea God should come and become Xu Jie’s disciple instead 28.
When Gu Yuena sought to kill Bo Saixi after the confrontation, Big Yellow and Big White stopped her. They allowed Bo Saixi to leave and declared that they would wait for the Sea God to come 29.
Meanwhile, Yan, Tang San, Tang Hao, Ning Fengzhi, Ning Rongrong, Chen Xin, and Gu Rong boarded a ship bound overseas in search of Mount Lu Residence. Yan and Tang San sought new masters, while Ning Fengzhi hoped that immortal cultivation would strengthen his sect 29 30.
Teachings and Protection
Immortal-Cultivation Instruction
- Discipleship requirement: Big Yellow and Big White tell Gu Yuena that she must become Xu Jie’s disciple before receiving instruction 21.
- Delegated admission: Big White conducts Gu Yuena’s acceptance ceremony on Xu Jie’s behalf 21.
