Background / History

Family and acceptance as a disciple

Huo Yuhao is the son of Dai Hao of the White Tiger Duke’s Mansion and Huo Yun’er. His anger over his mother drives a desire to destroy the White Tiger line. When Tang Chuan first meets him in the Star Dou Great Forest, Yuhao is seeking his first Soul Ring and reacts warily to the stranger’s offer of discipleship 1 19.

Tang Chuan claims to be Sea God Tang San and supports the deception with displays of Blue Silver Emperor and Clear Sky Hammer, along with knowledge of Yuhao’s family. Convinced, Yuhao accepts him as his master and agrees to keep his supposed identity secret. His belief helps activate Tang Chuan’s system rewards, making him central to the impersonation’s early success 1 2.

Entering Shrek Academy

Under Tang Chuan’s direction, Yuhao encounters the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm and gains his first Soul Ring. He then assists Bei Bei and Tang Ya against a thousand-year Mandala Snake using Spiritual Detection and Spiritual Sharing. Tang Ya offers him the Tang Sect’s Shrek enrollment quota, and he enters the academy with their assistance 2 3 4.

At Shrek, Yuhao develops an interest in Soul Tools and proposes combining them with Tang Sect Hidden Weapon throwing techniques. To cover tuition and cultivation expenses beyond his academy subsidy, he arranges a grilled-fish stall with Tang Ya. Xu Sanshi attacks him there over a dispute involving Jiang Nannan, prompting Tang Chuan to shield him 8 11.

After three months of cultivation, Yuhao competes in the freshman assessment alongside Wang Dong and Xiao Xiao. He supplies shared battlefield perception while his teammates attack and control their opponents. Their performance earns Tang Chuan’s praise and brings the team widespread attention 16 17.

Far North journey and return

Upon reaching rank twenty, Yuhao receives extended leave through Tang Chuan’s arrangement with Mu En. He travels into the Far North with the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm, relying on his strengthened constitution and a heating Soul Tool. With Tang Chuan’s permission, he and Sky Dream reveal his teacher’s supposed divine identity to help persuade the Ice Empress to join their god-making plan 17 18 19 20 21.

The Ice Empress accepts, becoming his second Martial Soul and granting him a torso soul bone. Returning to Shrek City, Yuhao reunites with Wang Dong and Xiao Xiao, only for the three to face an assassin ambush. Xiao Xiao blocks attacks while Yuhao and Wang Dong unleash their Martial Soul Fusion Skill; the group nearly exhausts its Soul Power before a timely intervention 22.

Dragon Core and further training

Tang Chuan deliberately pushes Yuhao into severe injury and exhaustion to meet the Dragon Core’s absorption condition: complete bodily collapse. Although frightened, Yuhao continues to trust him. During the ordeal, he independently applies the Twin Souls Co-Soul Method before Tang Chuan administers the core and guards his recovery. Two subsequent Immortal Herbs raise him to rank twenty-eight and double his spiritual power 24 25 26 27.

Yuhao later reveals Electrolux’s presence in his Sea of Consciousness, discovering that Tang Chuan already knew. Electrolux accepts Tang Chuan’s Undead Certificate and pledges to nurture Yuhao as his student. On a later Soul Ring hunting trip, Yuhao follows Sky Dream’s guidance toward a light-attribute beast, only to discover the Three-Eyed Golden Lion—an encounter the Ice Empress recognizes as extremely dangerous 30 32.

Personality

Yuhao is initially cautious, questioning Tang Chuan’s claims and preparing to leave rather than accept an implausible offer. Once convinced, however, he becomes intensely loyal and protective of his teacher’s secrets. His gratitude is deeply tied to his upbringing: he regards Tang Chuan as the only person besides his mother who has treated him with such care 1 6 19 25.

His determination to grow stronger is sustained by revenge, but impatience can outpace his control. His first attempt to combine Purple Demon Eye with Spirit Eyes makes him collapse; he subsequently accepts the need to build a firmer foundation. He is also courteous and team-minded, greeting Mu En without knowing his standing and ensuring Wang Dong receives credit for the freshman assessment performance 5 6 17 30.
