While Huo Yuhao seeks the Ice Empress, Tang Chuan visits Sunset Forest. He persuades the immortal herbs that Tang San has returned, selects herbs for himself and his disciples, and undergoes a dangerous transformation in the well. Assassination Attempt and Dragon Core Training

Tang Chuan returns in time to save Huo Yuhao, Wang Dong, and Xiao Xiao from assassins. He kills several attackers, captures their Soul Emperor leader, and leaves the interrogation to Shrek. The academy subsequently identifies Dai Huabin as the organizer 22 23 26.

He then pushes Huo Yuhao’s body to collapse so it can absorb the Dragon Core, using his own power and Life Dragon Wings to protect him. The subsequent absorption of the core and immortal herbs dramatically strengthens Huo Yuhao and rewards Tang Chuan with the communication-interception ability 25 26 27.

Securing His Identity and Returning to the Forest

When Wang Dong brings Niu Tian and Tai Tan to investigate, Tang Chuan reinforces his identity with divine power and intercepts Niu Tian’s attempted verification with Tang San. He later leads the group into the Star Dou Great Forest to obtain Soul Rings 28 29 31.

During the expedition, he resolves to secure the Three-Eyed Golden Lion’s opportunity for Huo Yuhao while changing her fate. A confrontation with the Scarlet King forces him to unleash a nearly exhausting Titled Douluo-level strike. Di Tian then intervenes and questions him after recognizing the Golden Dragon King’s power 32 33.
