Clear Sky Sect Origins

Wang Dong comes from the Clear Sky Sect, whose current sect masters, Niu Tian and Tai Tan, she calls her First Dad and Second Dad. She knows enough about its members to insist that no one named Tang Chuan belongs to the sect when she sees him wield the Clear Sky Hammer 14 28.

Her memories of her biological father are indistinct. Tang Chuan’s internal thoughts identify her as Tang San’s daughter, but Wang Dong herself only knows that her father left home when she was little. Tang Chuan’s resemblance to the hazy figure in her memories becomes the reason she investigates him 6.

Meeting Tang Chuan and Joining the Tang Sect

Wang Dong first encounters Tang Chuan outside Shrek Academy’s dormitory. After asking whether they have met before, she discovers that Huo Yuhao is her roommate and aggressively questions him about his teacher. Huo Yuhao gives her Tang Chuan’s name but refuses to reveal anything further 6.

She subsequently follows the pair around Shrek, listening to their discussions about cultivation and soul tools. When Tang Ya bars her from entering the Tang Sect residence as an outsider, Wang Dong accepts an invitation to join the sect so that she can enter 8.

Watching Tang Chuan guide Huo Yuhao and Tang Ya gradually changes her opinion of him. Her investigation intensifies after she secretly witnesses his Blue Silver Emperor and Clear Sky Hammer, then overhears his claim to be Tang San. Freshman Assessment and Assassination Attempt

During the freshman assessment, Wang Dong fights alongside Huo Yuhao and Xiao Xiao against Dai Huabin’s team. With Xiao Xiao’s support, she and Huo Yuhao use their Martial Soul Fusion Skill to defeat Dai Huabin and Zhu Lu’s Hell White Tiger. Huo Yuhao explicitly credits her contribution when Tang Chuan praises the team afterward 16 17.

After Huo Yuhao returns from the Far North, the three students are ambushed in Shrek City. Wang Dong immediately suspects Dai Huabin, with whom she and Xiao Xiao have recently had further clashes. She and Huo Yuhao expend nearly all their Soul Power on their fusion skill to help escape a Soul Emperor assassin; Wang Dong supports Xiao Xiao during their retreat 22.

Tang Chuan arrives before the remaining assassins can stop them, healing their injuries and restoring their Soul Power through his Life Domain. The academy later confirms that Dai Huabin hired the attackers and expels him 22 26.

Immortal Herb and Identity Verification

Tang Chuan gives Wang Dong a light-attribute immortal herb despite her not being his personal disciple, explaining that her Tang Sect membership is reason enough. She accepts it with sincere thanks and reaches rank thirty after absorption 24 26.

Still uncertain about Tang Chuan’s identity, Wang Dong writes home asking her two fathers to investigate. Niu Tian and Tai Tan come in person, and she brings them to meet him. Their eventual acceptance of his impersonation convinces Wang Dong that he really may be Tang San, prompting her to consider becoming his disciple 18 28 29.

Star Dou Great Forest Expedition

Wang Dong joins Tang Chuan’s expedition to obtain Soul Rings, with a light-attribute soul beast selected as her target. She participates in the group’s battle against a Bone Armor Turtle, flying forward to attack while Huo Yuhao provides Spiritual Sharing 30 31 32.

She later follows Huo Yuhao and Xiao Xiao toward a powerful light-attribute presence, which proves to be the Three-Eyed Golden Lion. Tang Chuan pulls the students behind him before the Auspicious Beast summons the Scarlet King 32.

Personality

Wang Dong is proud, confrontational, and reluctant to admit her curiosity. She threatens to make Huo Yuhao’s life at Shrek difficult when he refuses her questions, then repeatedly claims she is merely “passing by” when caught following or observing Tang Chuan. Her insistence that she has no interest in their conversation quickly gives way to joining it 6 8 10.

Her skepticism does not prevent her from recognizing ability. She questions Tang Chuan’s reliability because of Huo Yuhao’s apparently ten-year first Soul Ring, but gradually acknowledges his skill after seeing the results of his guidance. Even after hearing his claim to be Tang San, she seeks verification from people she trusts rather than accepting it immediately 8 11 13 18.

Beneath her haughty manner, Wang Dong is protective and emotionally invested in her friends. She helps Huo Yuhao after his collapse during a spar, struggles to hide her sadness when he leaves for the Far North, and rushes to his side when she finds him covered in blood after Tang Chuan’s training 9 18 26 27.
