Tang Mo cultivated in the Tang Sect for nearly thirty years in his previous life. His sect trained both body and soul, and he learned assassination, close combat, cultivation methods, pill refining, and artifact crafting. He fought invading enemies and battled the Bihuoshan ninjas alongside fellow disciple Tang Shiying. Although his former body was lost after death, his soul retained exceptional resilience and accumulated killing intent 15 22 53 75.

In his current life, Tang Mo is an orphan. His first Martial Soul manifests as his previous-life self, preserving a direct connection to his former training. After Su Yuntao awakened his twin Martial Souls, Tang Mo agreed to go to Spirit Hall, where Ma Xiunuo registered him and reported his unusual innate soul power to Spirit City 4 5 6.

Tang Mo is pragmatic, calculating, and willing to retreat when an opponent is beyond his ability to kill. He conceals hostility rather than announcing it, prepares escape routes before committing to an attack, and regards Tang San’s openly displayed killing intent as poor assassination discipline. His conflicts with Tang San and Tang Hao become deliberate, long-term efforts to remove them rather than contests of pride 3 12 83.

He does not describe himself as someone who enjoys killing, but accepts it readily when it serves his objectives. In his previous life, he imposed a rule of killing only the most wicked; his era nevertheless provided him with many targets. His composure after killing eleven bandits astonishes Yue Guan because he shows neither distress nor any lingering scent of blood 20 31.

His political loyalty is conditional on shared goals. He cares more about the continent’s development after unification than whether Bibi Dong or Qian Renxue wins their internal struggle, and wants Spirit Hall’s accumulated strength preserved.
