Concealing his presence, the four women's vigilance
The shrill sound of the Electronic Alarm, like a rusty saw blade, ripped through the air in the living room.
Just minutes before, the top floor of the Baxter Building was filled with the strong smell of gunpowder.
Susan sat at the head of the sofa, using her Invisible Force Field to precisely peel a grape, her eyes glancing defiantly towards the window. Wanda leaned against the French windows, her fingertips toying with a ball of Scarlet Chaos Magic, ready to crush the grape along with Susan's Force Field at any moment. Meanwhile, Gwen Stacy, hanging upside down in the shadows of the ceiling, was carving white marks on a metal pipe with a dagger, calculating the angle from which she could simultaneously sever the throats of the two women below.
Until the broken glass door of the Bathroom was pushed open.
Lynn walked out barefoot on the carpet. Her black silk shirt was draped loosely over her body, and water droplets dripped from her hair, hitting her pale collarbone.
The air was filled with the scent of Shower Gel, mixed with a faint but unmistakable smell of blood and burnt flesh. Even more deadly was the lingering ferocity in Lynn's eyes and the terrifying oppressive aura emanating from him, as if he had just crawled out of a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood.
The three women in the living room stopped what they were doing instantly.
The grapes rolled to the ground, the Chaos Magic suddenly contracted, and the scraping sound of the dagger abruptly stopped.
"Susan, cut off all physical access to the building." Lynn strode to the sofa and sat down, his voice cold and flat. "Push the output power of the Negative Zone Matrix to its limit. I want this building to become an absolute Black Box on a physical level."
Susan paused for half a second. She had never seen Lynn speak in such a tone before. Even when facing Stryker's mechanical Beast, this man would just sit back and watch the show with a wine glass in hand.
But the faint smell of burning didn't lie. Something extremely terrifying had touched him.
"Understood!" Susan didn't waste any words. She didn't even have time to put on her shoes, rushing barefoot to the center of the hall and clasping her hands together tightly. Her fingers trembled slightly from the force.
"Buzz--"
Low-frequency Shockwave from deep underground to the top floor. A pale blue, Invisible Force Field, like a thick layer of solid ice, instantly adhered to the inside of the floor-to-ceiling windows. Static electricity in the air caused the hairs on Lynn's arms to stand on end. Susan, sparing no Psychic Power, compressed the density of the Force Field to its limit, causing even the sunlight passing through the glass to refract strangely.
"Wanda." Lynn turned his head, his dark pupils fixed on the Scarlet Witch. "Reinforce the barrier above Manhattan three times. Crush all the energy fluctuations that just overflowed from the basement."
Wanda didn't move immediately. She stared intently at Lynn's left hand.
Lynn picked up a glass of ice water from the coffee table and applied slight pressure with his fingertips. A layer of frost instantly formed on the surface of the glass, the residual Death Energy from his battle with Hela.
Wanda stared at the layer of frost, her pupils suddenly contracting. She could sense that the power was of an absurdly high level, carrying pure destruction and death. It was definitely not something from Earth.
Someone is coveting her Deity!
A woman's intuition, especially that of Yandere woman, is terrifyingly sharp. Extreme panic and jealousy instantly overwhelmed Wanda's reason.
"Did something dirty touch you?" Wanda's voice instantly turned shrill, like fingernails scraping against glass. The Scarlet Particles surrounding her went completely out of control, and the sofa, coffee table, and expensive oil paintings in the living room slowly floated up under the force of Anti-Gravity. "Who? Who dares to look at you?! I'll gouge her eyes out!"
"Do as instructed." Lynn offered no explanation, simply uttering those two words coldly.
An intense sense of oppression, accompanied by the terrifying power that Lynn had just unleashed within him, slammed heavily onto Wanda's back.
Wanda bit her lower lip, and a trickle of blood seeped out. She dared not disobey Lynn's orders, and could only vent all her violence, jealousy, and panic on the barrier.
"Boom!"
Scarlet storm, invisible to the naked eye, surged into the sky. The magical barrier above Manhattan instantly thickened, like an inverted, blood-red bowl, tightly protecting the Baxter Building at its very center. All residual energy radiating outward was brutally Oblivion by Chaos Particles.
Gwen Stacy slid silently down from the shadows of the ceiling. Like a mother leopard guarding her prey, she crouched on the armrest of the sofa beside Lynn. Her White Suit clung tightly to her explosively powerful body. The dagger, tempered with high-voltage Bioelectricity, spun rapidly in her hand, emitting a chilling "sizzle" sound.
"I'll be guarding your blind spot." Gwen Stacy lowered her voice, her eyes beneath the mask fixed on the entrance to the hall. She even deliberately slowed her heartbeat and lowered her body temperature to the minimum, completely transforming herself into a lifeless shadow. Anyone who dared to step into the living room at this moment would be met with a Thunder assassination attempt.
Lynn leaned back on the leather sofa, coldly observing the three women who looked as if they were facing a formidable enemy.
Just now in the Bathroom, he simultaneously used Chaos Magic and the Dark Golden Flame of the Dark Phoenix to directly confront Hela's Interstellar Psychic Tendril. This energy fluctuation was too conspicuous. If he didn't cover it up immediately, who knows how many old monsters in the universe would notice him.
Earth is still a Starter Village. He has just absorbed the X-Gene Serum, and his physical body has completed its transformation, but that is far from enough. He doesn't want to attract Odin's true form or that bald sorcerer Kamar-Taj prematurely because of a slight leak of his aura. Especially Heimdall of Asgard, who stands on the Bifrost, whose golden eyes can see through the Nine Realms. He must use a double barrier of magic and Force Field to completely shield them, forcibly removing Baxter Building from the view of the Nine Realms.
However, he was quite satisfied with the side effects brought about by this external pressure.
They, who were previously sarcastic and ready to tear each other apart in their struggle for the title of "owner of the building," have now completely put aside their infighting. Their twisted possessiveness has instantly transformed into an extreme protective instinct driven by shared hatred in the face of an unknown and terrifying threat.
In their eyes, Lynn was a priceless treasure they possessed exclusively. Now that wild dogs from the outside world were trying to steal this treasure, they would fight to the last drop of blood to chop off their claws.
Lynn tilted his head back and gulped down a mouthful of ice water. The icy liquid slid down his throat, suppressing the still churning, fiery blood within him. This was the effect he wanted. He didn't need to go to great lengths to mediate the Shura Field; external pressure would naturally force them to stick together.
"Beep beep beep--"
Just then, the alarm sound coming from the direction of the underground Supercomputer Center suddenly rose an octave.
The elevator doors slid open with a "ding".
The heavy footsteps broke the tense atmosphere in the living room.
Natasha rushed out of the elevator. The penetrating wound in her abdomen had just been forcibly reattached by Lynn's Space Stitching Technique, and the violent running caused the wound to reopen. Blood soaked through the white bandages, dripping down her tight-fitting combat suit onto the floor, leaving a string of glaring red dots.
But she didn't care at all; her pale face revealed a wolf-like sharpness, even a hint of morbid excitement.
She was clutching a tactical tablet that was flashing red light wildly in her hand.
"Master." Natasha walked up to Lynn, kneeling heavily on one knee, her kneecap slamming against the marble floor with a dull thud. Ignoring her lacerated wound, she raised the tablet high, her voice laced with suppressed rage and fanaticism, "It wasn't us who triggered the alarm. It was S.H.I.E.L.D..'s Dark Web."
Lynn put down her water glass and looked at the tablet screen.
"That old bastard Nick Fury, he's gone mad." Natasha swallowed hard, her throat bobbing. "He used the former Director's Highest Security Key to bypass our network blockade and send a Top Secret file to every Dark Web node in the world."
Lynn raised an eyebrow, a cold smile playing on his lips, "What did he post?"
Natasha swiped her finger across the screen.
A blurry photo of a military aerial reconnaissance mission popped up.
In the middle of the desolate desert, where yellow sand swirled, a huge Meteorite Crater had been created. The area was surrounded by barbed wire and cordon tape, and countless agents in hazmat suits were busy at work.
In the very center of the Meteorite Crater, a short-handled metal hammer engraved with Ancient Runes stands silently.
"New Mexico." Natasha looked up, her gaze fixed on Lynn with fanaticism, like a fervent believer awaiting orders. "A mysterious hammer has fallen from the sky. Fury has revealed the coordinates."
Lynn stared at the familiar hammer on the screen, a cold smile gradually spreading across his face.
"A calculated scheme," Lynn tossed the tablet back onto the coffee table. "He knew he had no cards left to play against the women in this building, so he spread the news. He wanted to lure me out of my absolute defensive perimeter in New York, to use me as a pawn."
"I'm going to kill him." Gwen Stacy flashed forward, about to rush out.
"Stop." Lynn called out to her.
He stood up, walked to the French windows, and looked at the night sky shrouded in Crimson Barrier.
Behind that hammer stood Thor, the God of Thunder, and Odin All-Father. More importantly, it was the perfect springboard for him to make contact with Asgard and even to hunt down Hela.
Nick Fury thought he had thrown out a deadly bait. But he had no idea that Lynn had already set his sights on the depths of Asgard.
