• Ye Qiyan suspected Monrojina had exposed Daxim’s Demon Card and messaged her; she confirmed she had prevented Daxim from leaving the world and explained that Demon Card holders were drawn to him as the Ruler of Demons.
• Monrojina offered to help Ye Qiyan collect the Keys needed to open a special doorway, but he declined, unaware she did not know the doorway’s former location had already been taken away.
• Daxim was relentlessly pursued in the Arena as Anjie, Mo Shi, Don Quixote, Zhao An, and Shangguan Yingxue helped the Future Guild defeat its opponents.
• Shaya and Zhao Xi resumed arguing while Ye Qiyan tracked Daxim with the [Judgment Enforcer]’s Justice Mark.
• Ye Qiyan left the Pearl Light Arena to claim Daxim’s Demon Card, determined to make the unwilling Demon his own.

Ye Qiyan cornered Daxim at the Arena’s exit, used Supremacy to force him to kill himself, and claimed his Demon Card, Martial Dread. Martial Dread tried to flee, but Ye Qiyan blocked it with Rebellion and declared he had no use for disobedient things.

• Daxim fled the Pearl Light Arena, hoping to escape into the Wasteland and grow powerful enough to defeat Altos.
• Ye Qiyan appeared in Daxim’s path and used Supremacy’s Rule to stop him and force him to turn around.
• Ye Qiyan beat Daxim and demanded that the Demon hiding within his soul come out.
• Daxim’s Demon Card remained silent despite his pleas, and Ye Qiyan used the Shattering Sword to make Daxim kill himself.
• Martial Dread emerged from Daxim’s corpse and tried to flee, but Ye Qiyan summoned Rebellion to block it.

Ye Qiyan destroyed Martial Dread, then used its fragments and his power to forge a new Demon Card called Decision. As the Solo Battle Royale began, Shangguan Yingxue saw Li Xiaosheng’s name among the competitors and wondered how he could be alive.

• Martial Dread begged to submit, but Ye Qiyan tore it apart and the Ring of Evil devoured its remaining malice.
• Ye Qiyan fused the two damaged fragments with azure energy and created the new Demon Card Decision, a demon combining machinery and evil.
• Ye Qiyan added Decision as his ninth Demon Card and headed to his match, intending to test its summoning ability.
• Mo Shi told Shangguan Yingxue that she alone could see a light in the city and arena.
• The Solo Battle Royale began, and Shangguan Yingxue spotted Li Xiaosheng’s name among the competitors despite believing he was dead.

Ye Qiyan tested the [Decision] Demon Armor in a battle royale and won with ease. Back in the Audience Seats, he spotted another doppelganger of the Resource Baron entering a match.

• Mo Shi secretly made herself a new pair of eyes and recognized Ye Qiyan disguised as Li Xiaosheng, while Shangguan Yingxue found a grayed-out system entry for Li Xiaosheng and assumed it was a namesake.
• Ye Qiyan entered a fifty-person battle royale wearing the [Decision] Demon Armor and drew the other contestants' attention by walking openly through the town.
• Ye Qiyan killed an ambusher with one blow from the armor's gauntlet, stunning the audience and commentators.
• Ye Qiyan adjusted his power, reached the center of the shrinking safe zone, and won the battle royale as the remaining contestants surrendered or succumbed to the poison gas.
• Ye Qiyan returned to his seat between Shaya and Zhao Xi, then saw a top-hatted contestant who looked like another doppelganger of the Resource Baron.

Shaya explained that a mental effect had erased parts of her memories and warned Ye Qiyan that the Resource Baron’s Doppelganger was competing in the tournament. After the sixteen qualifiers were decided, Ye Qiyan drew Miss [Death], Mo Shi, as his next opponent.

• Shaya told Ye Qiyan and Zhao Xi that she had lost memories of Level 12 and the years before twenty years ago, apparently because of an effect imposed while she was sealed.
• Shaya identified the Resource Baron’s Doppelganger as a powerful competitor using only level eight or nine items, and said Ye Qiyan might face him soon.
• Ye Qiyan sincerely told Shaya he was worried about her, and Shaya returned to her seat in a better mood.
• The tournament narrowed to sixteen contestants, including Ye Qiyan, Anjie, Mo Shi, and another Resource Baron Doppelganger; Don Quixote lost, while Shangguan Yingxue and Zhao An withdrew.
• The round-of-sixteen draw paired Ye Qiyan against Mo Shi.

Ye Qiyan fought Mo Shi in the Pearl Light Arena, testing the abilities she had gained as a Newbie Train Conductor. He defeated her summons and attacks, and Mo Shi left delighted by her growth and determined to keep chasing him.

• Ye Qiyan and Mo Shi agreed to test the gap between them in battle using Mo Shi's Train Conductor abilities.
• Mo Shi told Ye Qiyan that he had awakened her desire to experience life, then attacked him with a pistol whose bullets became magical moths.
• Ye Qiyan rushed through Mo Shi's attacks and shattered her level 7 Shadow Beast whale with a punch.
• Mo Shi summoned undead, machines, elementals, and other creatures, but Ye Qiyan destroyed them and knocked her on the head to end the fight.
• Mo Shi accepted her defeat, asked how her progress compared with Ye Qiyan's at the same stage, and said she would keep chasing him.

Ye Qiyan faced the Resource Baron's Doppelganger in the Guild War final and used [Bewitchment] to bargain for three thousand Train Coins in exchange for giving up the Keys. The match began with Joel watching Ye Qiyan closely, eager to leave the world.

• Ye Qiyan's quarterfinal and semifinal opponents surrendered, while Anjie forfeited to the Resource Baron's Doppelganger after he used a Gemstone ring.
• Ye Qiyan and the Resource Baron's Doppelganger entered the Arena, where the Resource Baron recognized Ye Qiyan and demanded his Gemstone back.
• Ye Qiyan proposed a trade involving the two Keys and three hundred Train Coins, then clarified that he intended to win and choose the Coins.
• Ye Qiyan used [Bewitchment] to persuade the Resource Baron to pay three thousand Train Coins for his agreement to give up the Keys, and the Resource Baron agreed without requiring a contract.

Ye Qiyan won the Guild Competition after the Resource Baron’s Doppelganger surrendered, then traded his prize for Train Coins. As Joel prepared to take the Nation on the Ship back into the Wasteland, the city’s residents rushed to claim abandoned locomotives and become Train Conductors.

• The Resource Baron’s Doppelganger surrendered after Ye Qiyan snatched a gemstone, making Ye Qiyan the Guild Competition’s winner.
• Ye Qiyan traded his right to the two [Miatila] Key fragments to the Resource Baron for three thousand Train Coins.
• The Resource Baron took the fragments, leaving him one piece short of completing the Key to [Miatila].
• Joel ordered the four Starships to separate and recombine, announced that the Train would enter the Wasteland in two days, and gave the city’s non-crew members a countdown to leave.
• The Carriage exchanges left locomotives behind, and people fought over them in hopes of becoming Train Conductors and entering the Wasteland.

Ye Qiyan said goodbye to Shaya and Zhao Xi before leaving the Nation on the Ship aboard his train. As he headed into the Wasteland, he planned to ascend his Self.

• Shaya gave Ye Qiyan the Hyperspace key and warned him to keep his distance from Tina.
• Shaya gave Ye Qiyan a Level 8 Allied Forces · Call Friends book as thanks for his Whiteforest Fruits, then departed toward the Wasteland with Tina.
• Zhao Xi said she would take the Doll Shop and its owner to Solo City before returning to the Wasteland, and Ye Qiyan agreed to answer her call if she encountered The End.
• Ye Qiyan gave Zhao Xi the Hyperspace key, boarded his train, and left the Nation on the Ship.

Ye Qiyan began his Self Ascension as monsters appeared around the train and his allies prepared to defend it. Inside the cocoon, he resisted a voice urging him to stop and continued until Miatila’s miracle helped him break through.

• Ye Qiyan prepared the train and its defenses, changed his title to [Witness of the End], and began his Ascension.
• Monsters and other creatures appeared around the train, and Lisette and the others began fighting to protect Ye Qiyan.
• In the darkness of his Ascension, Ye Qiyan ignored whispers urging him to rest and kept moving through shifting apocalyptic scenes.
• Ye Qiyan used the Deceptive Play Sword with Champion Stance to sustain his mental power, but the cocoon’s cracks began to fade after 400 seconds.
• Miatila appeared beside Ye Qiyan, whose mental power reached 500, and the cocoon shattered.

After completing his ascension, Ye Qiyan unleashed the combined power of his demons and mechanical followers to destroy the enormous being blocking the train’s path. With the way clear, his self-ascension was finally complete.

• Ye Qiyan emerged from the cocoon after two hours and learned that Lisette had used the Talent Cube while the train’s forces fought the monsters outside.
• When the system revealed that “Unwillingness” was trying to stop him, Ye Qiyan asked Lisette what to do, and she told him to kill everything in his way.
• Ye Qiyan activated Demon-Mechanism Soulfall and drew power from his demons and mechanical lifeforms, while Red Tears joined him and Trick Play amplified his strength.
• Ye Qiyan called Hunt and appeared atop the Transcendence Dragon, where he used a Golden Critical Hit Card against the enormous being blocking the way ahead.
• Ye Qiyan’s sword strike and gunshot destroyed the obstacles before the train, completing his self-ascension.

Ye Qiyan woke after two days of recovery from his battle with the Super-Giant Blocker and discovered new changes to his Stamina and Mind. He thanked his damaged guardians, used Demon Card · Redemption to heal them, and set his sights on continuing forward while saving money.

• Ye Qiyan woke beside Lisette and Eve after sleeping for two days and saw that his Stamina was 103 while his Mind had reached 500.
• Ye Qiyan learned that Blood of Permanence improved Stamina recovery, but the System could not explain why Flower of Miracle was no longer visible in his Mind status.
• Ye Qiyan saw the distant remains of the Super-Giant Blocker behind the train and reflected that his powerful attack had left him badly injured.
• Ye Qiyan realized Ascension could now raise level-nine items to level ten and could sometimes grant Ultimate Ascension to level-ten items, though he could not yet see when he could perform another Self Ascension.
• Lisette and Ye Qiyan's other guardians pledged to protect him, and Ye Qiyan thanked them for their hard work.
• Ye Qiyan used Demon Card · Redemption to heal his guardians and said it was time to save money.

Ye Qiyan saved his Train Coins for the train’s level 20 upgrade and used his newly improved Ascension talent on the Arsenal Hangar’s enhancement item. After the item became a Limit Enhancer, he selected the Hangar’s bays, training and exercises, and intelligence for enhancement, then wondered what future construction meant.

• Ye Qiyan decided to save at least 10,000 Train Coins before upgrading his train to level 20.
• Ye Qiyan used Giant Train Space Expansion to double the space in the Nether Moon Garden.
• Ye Qiyan ascended the Weaponry · Transboundary Enhancer into a Weaponry · Limit Enhancer, which let him choose four attributes for enhancement.
• Ye Qiyan asked Augustine about the Hangar’s shortcomings, then selected Hangar bays and training and exercises as attributes.

• The Hangar expanded and gained capacity for 200 mechs, an improved exercise field, smarter mech management, and a blueprint construction area.
• Ye Qiyan fed ten pieces of GT memory metal into [Future Construction] to begin producing an equipment blueprint and shared access with Lisette, WALL-E, and the others.
• Ye Qiyan Ascended the GT-42 Light Engineering Mech into a Level 7 Supporter Mech, named it Bedivere, and chose knight intelligence.
• Ye Qiyan asked Lancelot whether it wanted to become stronger, and Lancelot knelt and accepted his command.

Ye Qiyan granted Lancelot Ascension, awakening its potential to evolve toward Supreme, then released Decision to test its demon-metal forging ability. The chapter ended with Decision producing an inverted-cross-shaped metal ingot from ten thousand kilograms of ordinary metal.

• Lancelot knelt as Ye Qiyan began its Ascension, spending 480 mental energy to unlock its Alliance Crystal Heart, Knight Commander, and Evil modules.
• Lancelot transformed, gained the ability to enter Supreme Crystal Overclocking mode, and vowed to serve Ye Qiyan as his sharpest spear.
• Ye Qiyan considered Lisette’s exceptional abilities and wondered whether she was currently his strongest machine.
• Ye Qiyan released Decision and activated its Demonfire Metal Forging ability, turning it into a smelting furnace.

Ye Qiyan rested after his Ascension, investigated Demon Metal, and decided to enter another Platform World. Zhao Lin cleared a difficult high-level world and considered telling Ye Qiyan about her Game Card before Ye Qiyan received two choices for his forty-eighth stop.

• Ye Qiyan sent Demon Metal to the Construction Sphere for analysis, then learned that an enhancement Item for Ebony would cost 5,000 Train Coins and declined to buy it.
• Zhao Lin defeated a powerful monster in Earth Spirit Valley and recalled Zhuxing Tu’s cryptic explanation of the Game Card · Weapon Era.
• Zhao Lin decided that she would tell Ye Qiyan about the card if he contacted her, then continued toward the Platform World’s final boss.
• The next day, Ye Qiyan initiated entry and received a choice between King of Chalk · Eternal City, a Level 9 Ascension Platform, and Duke Kanlavi's Ancient Castle Expedition Team, a Level 8 Exploration Platform.

Ye Qiyan arrived at the high-level King of Chalk · City of Eternity station, where divinity existed, and sent WALL-E and his other companions to explore. Eve captured a strange human Assassin named Martin, and Ye Qiyan began questioning him about the City of Eternity while offering to treat his injured arm.

• Ye Qiyan chose the Ascension Platform and arrived at the King of Chalk · City of Eternity station, where Miatila noted that divinity existed.
• Ye Qiyan sent WALL-E out to search for treasure and deployed Lisette, the Nanite Swarm, the Azure Roar Thunder Eagle, and the Demon Raven to explore the forest.
• Ye Qiyan spotted a red dot marking the station's strongest enemy and ordered Eve to bring back one of the nearby beings.
• Eve captured Martin despite his companions' attempt to rescue him, and brought him to Ye Qiyan.
• Ye Qiyan used [Bewitchment] to make Martin reveal his name and that he was an Assassin chosen from among the Ancient Elders.
• Ye Qiyan clarified that he was an Adventurer, then offered to treat Martin's arm in exchange for information about the City of Eternity.

Ye Qiyan healed an assassin captain and used [Bewitchment] to make him and his companions trust him. The captain revealed that the King of Chalk’s City of Eternity had drained the world and that the assassins planned to restore the King of Night’s rule.

• The assassin captain refused Ye Qiyan’s treatment, but Ye Qiyan used [Rebellion × Bewitchment] to make him admit he wanted to live and then healed him with [Redemption].
• A group of masked assassins arrived, and their captain removed his mask to reveal a lion-shaped brand scar.
• Ye Qiyan convinced the assassins he was an adventurer and asked them to explain the City of Eternity.
• The captain said the King of Chalk had created the City of Eternity, where people lived forever by draining the world’s life, soil, and magic power.
• The captain declared that the assassins were retainers of the King of Night and intended to kill the King of Chalk, restore eternal darkness, and return the land to the People of Night.

Ye Qiyan gained the Assassin squad’s trust by pretending to sympathize with their struggle against the King of Chalk, then followed them toward their base. After seeing the scorched plain left by the King’s attack, he questioned whether the story they accepted as truth explained the destruction.

• Ye Qiyan apologized to Hamdouk and posed as an adventurer from the Otherworld who would help defeat the King of Chalk.
• Ye Qiyan stored the Train and Lisette in his Storage Matrix, then followed Hamdouk’s squad after introducing himself by name.
• Hamdouk revealed that the squad disliked Ye Qiyan’s name because it resembled names from the City of Eternity, and privately thought it lowly.
• Ye Qiyan sensed Hamdouk’s betrayal but held back [Redemption], intending to keep him alive until he finished dealing with this stop.
• The squad led Ye Qiyan to a barren plain scorched by an attack, which Hamdouk blamed on the King of Chalk’s Knights.
• Ye Qiyan compared the destruction to Eve’s [Gravity Gun] and wondered whether something had taught the Assassins to believe their version of the truth.

Ye Qiyan visited the settlement of the People of Night and learned through surveillance that its elders planned to exploit his sympathy and use him as a vanguard against the King of Chalk. The Grand Elder also ordered commoners sacrificed to expose the settlement, while Ye Qiyan concealed that he had overheard the plan.

• Charlie welcomed Ye Qiyan to the settlement, and Ye Qiyan noticed that its residents were all identified as human despite their marks of [Shame].
• Charlie and Anli invited Ye Qiyan to learn about the settlement, while Dubi and Aiti left for training.
• Ye Qiyan used the [Pride] card to watch Hamdouk report to the elders about him and his strength.
• The Grand Elder proposed manipulating Ye Qiyan into joining the coming war against the King of Chalk as a vanguard.
• The Grand Elder ordered Hamdouk to send commoners east to draw a Chalk knight toward the settlement, and Hamdouk reluctantly agreed after the elders rebuked him.
• Charlie asked whether Ye Qiyan was tired, and Ye Qiyan replied that the place was interesting.

Ye Qiyan learned that the People of Night were preparing to assassinate the King of Chalk, while their Great Elder secretly sent Charlie and three other young Assassins into a deadly trap to provoke Ye Qiyan into joining their cause. Ye Qiyan saw through the scheme and joked with Eve that acting like a good person had come back to cost him.

• Charlie told Ye Qiyan that the People of Night could operate freely under the freezing rain and hoped to defeat the King of Chalk.
• Ye Qiyan asked about the People of Night's appearance, and Charlie explained that their scars marked them as Assassin candidates.
• Charlie revealed that the Well of Night could create new People of Night from the remains of the dead.
• Charlie left with three young Assassins to escort civilians to the Eastern Forest, unaware the Great Elder had sent them to die to stir Ye Qiyan's anger.
• Ye Qiyan recognized the plot and asked Eve whether he had played an overly convincing, easily manipulated good person.

Ye Qiyan turned Hamdouk into a corpse demon and used Eve to attack the People of Night elders who had plotted against him. After Eve killed the elders and assassins, Ye Qiyan confronted the grand elder, who realized he had known about the plan from the start.

• Ye Qiyan activated Redemption’s post-death effect, turning Hamdouk into a crazed corpse demon in the elders’ courtyard.
• The corpse demon attacked the People of Night elders as Ye Qiyan and Eve approached the sealed Senate.
• Ye Qiyan used Bewitchment on an elder outside the Senate, and Eve sliced the man in two.
• Eve entered the Senate and killed eleven elders and thirteen assassins while leaving the grand elder alive.
• The grand elder asked when Ye Qiyan had discovered the plan, and Ye Qiyan replied that he had known from the beginning.

Ye Qiyan questioned and killed the grand elder of the People of Night, then discovered a Well of Night that created humans bound to the King of Night. Miatila corrected the system’s appraisal of them as a distinct human variant, and Ye Qiyan set out to investigate the well.

• Ye Qiyan used [Bewitchment] to make the grand elder explain that the world beyond the land had become scorched and that the King of Chalk’s City of Eternity had been built over the People of Night’s ruins, with their king’s remains as its furnace core.
• The grand elder said the King of Night had been a Train Conductor and claimed the People of Night were humans born from the Well of Night.
• Ye Qiyan asked whether the People of Night were truly human, then killed the grand elder with Moonshadow when he tried to force an alliance.
• The Demon Raven led Ye Qiyan to a hidden cave, where he found a Well of Night among piles of corpses.
• The system identified the well as a divine item used to create Curse-Ritual Humans and Miatila explained that it could register and analyze this human variant.

Ye Qiyan learned that Eternal Binding could not be undone, then had Eve and Raven destroy the Well of Night so its remains could be recycled. Elsewhere, a Knight led a Train-mounted force against the People of Night, and Charlie stayed behind to face them while Anli fled with the survivors.

• Ye Qiyan confirmed that Eternal Binding persisted even after its holder died, but that destroying a bound entity would let its remains be recycled.
• Ye Qiyan ordered Eve to cut apart the Well of Night and Raven to collect its pieces for the Processing Table.
• Ye Qiyan returned to Matrix Space, where Lisette welcomed him home.
• A Knight ordered his forces to attack roughly three hundred People of Night, and his Train advanced on caterpillar treads as the People of Night scouts approached.

Anli reached the elders’ courtyard and found the elders dead, while Ye Qiyan stood beside Eve and his demons. The King of Chalk’s knights arrived aboard a counterfeit train, and their commander recognized Ye Qiyan as the Train Conductor the Holy City had awaited.

• Anli escaped the knights by taking a hidden tunnel up the mountain to seek Ye Qiyan.
• Anli found the elders’ corpses in the courtyard and Eve aimed a weapon at her.
• Ye Qiyan appeared with Red Tears and the Demon Raven, then told Anli the knights had killed the elders before he could arrive.
• The knights surrounded the courtyard and entered through the wall aboard a counterfeit train.
• The black-haired knight recognized Ye Qiyan as the Train Conductor expected by the Holy City, and Ye Qiyan questioned him about his counterfeit train.
