  • Mabui gave the Fourth Raikage Darui’s report about Uchiha Fengyao defeating Killer B and explained that the Mangekyō Sharingan seemed especially effective against Tailed Beasts.
  • The Fourth Raikage concluded that Konoha had driven the Uchiha away and learned that Uchiha Fengyao, Uchiha Fugaku, and Uchiha Itachi possessed the Mangekyō.
  • The Fourth Raikage ordered Mabui to notify Samui and Dodai that he would confront Uchiha Fengyao himself.
  • Obito learned that Fengyao had become Akatsuki’s leader and raged that Nagato had allowed it.
  • Obito attacked Spiral White Zetsu with the Wooden Spike Technique, but Spiral White Zetsu escaped underground and Black Zetsu intervened.

Ch. 52Hashirama Cells

Feng Yao visited Amegakure’s new laboratory and learned that Shin had safely integrated Hashirama cells, gaining the ability to use Wood Release and the Sharingan. Orochimaru reported that White Zetsu cells had reduced transplant rejection enough for Fugaku and Itachi to receive Hashirama cells, and Feng Yao ordered the procedure to proceed.

  • Obito asked Black Zetsu whether he had contacted Feng Yao, and Black Zetsu promised to do so soon.
  • Feng Yao visited the Amegakure laboratory, where Shin reported no rejection from his Hashirama cell treatment and agreed to become Feng Yao’s bodyguard.
  • Kabuto told Feng Yao that White Zetsu cells had greatly reduced Hashirama cell rejection, and Orochimaru returned from scouting the Land of Rice Fields for another research base.
  • Orochimaru reported that Uchiha recipients had several times less rejection than ordinary shinobi and that Fugaku and Itachi could now receive transplants.
  • Feng Yao ordered Kabuto to inform Elder Setsuna that Fugaku and Itachi were ready for Hashirama cell transplants.

Ch. 53Checking in at Otogakure

Feng Yao checked in at Otogakure and obtained a perfect Impure World Reincarnation Jutsu, then ordered Orochimaru to secure the Land of Rice Fields’ support for the village. After Guren reported finding Kidomaru, Sakon, and Ukon, Orochimaru invited Feng Yao to see them and the cultivation of the Eight-Tails’ chakra.

  • Orochimaru assured Feng Yao that taking Shin as his guard would not interfere with his research, and Shin promised to protect Feng Yao.
  • Orochimaru used Reverse Summoning to bring Feng Yao, Shin, and himself to Otogakure in the Land of Rice Fields.
  • Feng Yao checked in at Otogakure and received the Perfect Impure World Reincarnation Jutsu, which required no living sacrifice and allowed full control of reincarnated targets.
  • Feng Yao told Orochimaru that the Land of Rice Fields would support Otogakure without the daimyo’s approval, and Orochimaru agreed with his plan.
  • Guren reported that she had found Kidomaru, Sakon, and Ukon in Laboratory Eight, and Orochimaru invited Feng Yao to see them and the cultivation of the Eight-Tails’ chakra.

Ch. 54Taking control of the Land of Rice Fields

Feng Yao left Otogakure and checked on Itachi’s Hashirama Cells transplant at the Amegakure research base, where Fugaku’s Mangekyo eye power was already recovering. He arranged for Yashiro to take Uchiha elites to control the Land of Rice Fields through its daimyo, leaving the clan to prepare for a gradual expansion.

  • Feng Yao declined to accompany Orochimaru and left Otogakure with Shin using Kamui.
  • Fugaku reported that Hashirama Cells were restoring his Mangekyo eye power, while Feng Yao explained that the transplant had not yet awakened Wood Release.
  • Feng Yao announced his plan to control the Land of Rice Fields’ daimyo rather than conquer the country outright.
  • Setsuna, Yashiro, and the elders agreed that Yashiro would lead Uchiha elites to the Land of Rice Fields and learn to govern it.

Ch. 55Amegakure began to develop

Feng Yao secretly brought the Land of Rice Fields under Uchiha control and continued opening Amegakure to trade, with Konan managing the resulting reforms. He visited Konan’s office and revealed that the Hashirama cells were ready for Nagato’s transplant.

  • Feng Yao and Yashiro used the Sharingan to control the daimyo of the Land of Rice Fields, then Feng Yao assigned the country to Elder Danzo and told him to support Orochimaru.
  • Feng Yao left the daimyo’s mansion with Kamui and returned to Amegakure, where Konan handled a heavy load of administrative documents.

  • Feng Yao reminded Konan that their work fulfilled the goal she, Yahiko, and Nagato had once shared of saving the Land of Rain.
  • Feng Yao told Konan that the Hashirama cells were ready to be transplanted into Nagato.

Ch. 56Nagato Receives Hashirama Cells

Feng Yao told Konan that Hashirama Cells could replenish Nagato’s lost life force and that White Zetsu limbs could restore his ability to walk. Nagato learned that the Rinnegan and the Black Receivers still threatened him, but Feng Yao said he had a solution in development and asked for Nagato’s help with the new world.

  • Feng Yao explained to Konan that Hashirama Cells could replenish Nagato’s life force and White Zetsu limbs could replace his damaged legs.
  • Konan thanked Feng Yao and agreed to repay him, while he teased her before taking her through a Kamui passage to Nagato.
  • Konan told Nagato about the proposed treatment, and Feng Yao confirmed that Hashirama Cells and White Zetsu limbs could help him.
  • Feng Yao warned Nagato that the Rinnegan would keep consuming his life force and that the Black Receivers had fused with his body.
  • Nagato reflected on how the Rinnegan had shaped his life, and Feng Yao said he had a solution for the eyes and Black Receivers that was not yet mature.

Ch. 57A: You're surrounded!

Feng Yao helped Nagato regain the use of his legs and then learned that Kumogakure had proposed a hostile hostage exchange. He led a group to the border, where Fourth Raikage A’s forces ambushed and surrounded them.

  • Feng Yao brought Kabuto to Nagato, who received Hashirama Cells and White Zetsu legs, allowing him to stand again.

  • Yugito led the concealed Kumogakure ninja in surrounding Feng Yao and his companions.

Ch. 58I really will control you, Yugito

Feng Yao controlled Killer B and watched the Kumogakure forces battle his allies, but a sudden Fire Release attack broke his control. He turned his attention toward Yugito, who was overpowering Kakuzu.

  • Feng Yao used his Mangekyo to summon a controlled Killer B with three-tomoe Sharingan and sent him to fight A.
  • Jūzō and Itachi battled Darui and the Kumogakure ninja, while Itachi used Susanoo to protect Jūzō from their combined attacks.
  • Shin and the Uchiha elites fought several opponents each as Kakuzu struggled against Yugito in her cat-demon form.
  • A and the seven-tailed Killer B fought in a stalemate despite A's efforts to snap his brother out of Feng Yao's control.
  • An enlarged Fire Release Bullet exploded near A and Killer B, breaking Feng Yao's genjutsu control, and Feng Yao focused on Yugito.

Ch. 59Feng Yao vs. the AB Combo

Feng Yao fought A and Killer B with Kamui, then faced them alongside Yugito as the battle escalated. After the three Kumogakure fighters transformed into the Two-Tails and Eight-Tails, Feng Yao summoned his Crow Tengu Susanoo and left the fight poised for a decisive clash.

  • Feng Yao counterattacked with his blade, while A and Killer B coordinated to defend against his strikes.
  • Yugito left her clone to hold Kakuzu back and joined A and Killer B, putting further pressure on Feng Yao with swordsmanship and Fire Release.
  • Feng Yao unleashed a Great Fireball that forced the surrounding fighters to stop and swept the battlefield with flames and shockwaves.
  • A and Killer B transformed into the Eight-Tails and Two-Tails, and Feng Yao formed a towering Crow Tengu Susanoo.

Ch. 60Crushing the Tailed Beasts

Feng Yao's Perfect Susanoo overwhelmed the Two-Tails and Eight-Tails, leaving Killer B, Yugito, and the Kumogakure forces defeated. As Feng Yao descended, A and Killer B faced the possibility that Kumogakure might not survive the loss.

  • A realized he could not help against Feng Yao's Perfect Susanoo and warned Killer B and Yugito to be careful.
  • Killer B and Yugito attacked Feng Yao, but Susanoo dodged their Tailed Beast Bombs, cut the Eight-Tails' tentacles, and struck both beasts down.
  • A, Darui, and the Kumogakure ninja rushed to help as Killer B and Yugito returned to human form in the ruins.
  • Killer B told A to take the survivors back, and A admitted that Kumogakure had lost.
  • Feng Yao's Susanoo dissipated, and Feng Yao descended toward the defeated Tailed Beasts.

Ch. 61Kumogakure's unequal treaty

Uchiha Fengyao defeated Kumogakure’s leaders and demanded all of its ninjutsu and 200 billion ryō in exchange for sparing the village. Kumogakure signed the debt treaty and was allowed to leave, but Feng Yao kept Yugito behind to take Killer B’s place.

  • Yugito tried to take responsibility for Kumogakure’s attack, but Feng Yao said she would take Killer B’s place because she had helped him break free of Feng Yao’s control.
  • A arrived with Killer B, Darui, and Kumogakure’s ninja, then offered his life in exchange for Feng Yao sparing the village.
  • Feng Yao threatened to destroy Kumogakure and demanded all its ninjutsu plus 200 billion ryō.
  • A negotiated no reduction in the sum but accepted Feng Yao’s offer to make it a debt with one percent annual interest, and Kakuzu presented the contract.
  • After Kumogakure signed the treaty and Feng Yao let its people leave, he ordered Yugito to stay and take Killer B’s place.

Ch. 62Yugito Put Herself on the Line

Feng Yao forced Kumogakure to surrender Yugito in Killer B’s place, then sent her to the Kamui Dimension. Black Zetsu appeared and told Feng Yao he had important information about a stone tablet, prompting Feng Yao to take him back with the others.

  • Feng Yao demanded that Raikage A treat Killer B’s capture as separate from Kumogakure’s compensation, and Yugito offered to take Killer B’s place.
  • A tried to negotiate further compensation for Yugito, but Feng Yao refused and ordered Kumogakure to leave after warning them to deliver the ninjutsu and first payment on time.
  • Black Zetsu appeared without the Uchiha noticing and claimed he had been hiding to assess Feng Yao’s strength.
  • Black Zetsu told Feng Yao that he had important information about a stone tablet, and Feng Yao opened a Kamui passage to return with him.
  • Feng Yao sent Yugito into the Kamui Dimension, leaving her confused about the strange space.

Ch. 63Black Zetsu: Mom Can Be Saved

Feng Yao questioned Black Zetsu about the stone tablet and heard his account of Madara, Nagato, and the plan for Infinite Tsukuyomi. Black Zetsu agreed to provide his base and White Zetsu to Feng Yao, then asked how Feng Yao planned to deal with Obito.

  • Feng Yao sent Shin and the others away, then confronted Black Zetsu about how he knew of the stone tablet.
  • Black Zetsu claimed to be Madara Uchiha’s will and explained how Madara awakened the Rinnegan, recruited Obito, and entrusted the eyes to Nagato.
  • Black Zetsu revealed the Rinnegan’s Cursed Seal and explained how to use it, convincing Feng Yao to keep talking with him.
  • Black Zetsu introduced Spiral White Zetsu, whom Feng Yao renamed Tobi and assigned to follow him.
  • Feng Yao ordered Black Zetsu to give Orochimaru their base and possessions and to keep Infinite Tsukuyomi secret; Black Zetsu then asked how Feng Yao would handle Obito.

  • Black Zetsu emerged from the ground and told Feng Yao that Obito had escaped.

Ch. 65The Shinobi World trembled

News of Amegakure’s power and Kumogakure’s defeat spread across the Shinobi World. As Kumogakure struggled with its debts, Ōnoki chose to support Amegakure’s trade and seek good relations.

  • News spread that Uchiha Fengyao had defeated Kumogakure’s Raikage and two perfect jinchuriki, while Amegakure’s leader Pain possessed the Rinnegan and the village had opened its borders.
  • Mabui told A that the daimyo refused to cover Kumogakure’s reparations, leaving the village to pay its debts and surrender its ninjutsu.
  • A ordered Mabui to have Darui deliver the prepared payment and ninjutsu, while Kumogakure’s villagers learned that A and Yugito had accepted blame and hostage status to protect them.
  • Ōnoki assessed Amegakure’s strength and Iwagakure’s weakness, then told Kitsuchi to support Amegakure’s trade and build good relations.

Ch. 66Obito: Someone Wants to Rule the World

Ōnoki, Sunagakure, and Kirigakure reacted to Uchiha Fengyao’s defeat of Kumogakure and Amegakure’s growing power, with Sunagakure choosing diplomacy and Kirigakure focusing on its internal problems. In Konoha, Obito claimed Fengyao planned to gather the Tailed Beasts and revive the Ten-Tails, while Hiruzen hesitated and Danzo urged him to act.

  • Kitsuchi agreed to carry out Ōnoki’s instructions as Ōnoki worried about protecting Iwagakure’s younger generation.
  • Luo Sha proposed intercepting Amegakure’s supplies, but Chiyo warned that Sunagakure could not risk provoking Uchiha Fengyao, so they decided to support his trade plans.
  • Yagura grew furious at the news from Kumogakure, while Genji urged Kirigakure to avoid drawing attention and focus on repairing the village and finding its deserters.
  • Obito told Konoha’s senior figures that Black Zetsu had controlled him and that Uchiha Fengyao wanted to capture the Tailed Beasts and revive the Ten-Tails.
  • Danzo accused the Uchiha of causing the Fourth’s death and pressed Hiruzen to believe Obito’s claims, citing Fengyao’s capture of the Eight-Tails and Two-Tails and Pain’s Rinnegan.

Ch. 67Rinnegan

Danzo persuaded Hiruzen Sarutobi and Konoha’s clan leaders that Obito’s claims about the Rinnegan, the Ten-Tails, and Uchiha Fengyao were credible. Hiruzen promised Konoha would protect Obito, while Danzo urged action against Amegakure and the Uchiha.

  • Danzo recalled his failed attempt to seize the Rinnegan from Nagato during the Second Shinobi World War and believed Obito’s account of the Ten-Tails.
  • Danzo told Hiruzen Sarutobi that Jiraiya’s former disciples Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan served Madara Uchiha, and Jiraiya protested that they had been peaceful children.
  • Obito claimed he had escaped Black Zetsu’s control when Uchiha Fengyao returned, and said Fengyao was Amegakure’s true leader while Pain served him.
  • Danzo, Mitokado Homura, and Utatane Koharu urged Hiruzen to curb Amegakure and the Uchiha, fearing Fengyao might revive the Ten-Tails.
  • Hiruzen told Obito that Konoha would stand behind him and sent him to reunite with Kakashi.

Ch. 68Konoha would research Impure World Reincarnation too

Hiruzen Sarutobi decided Konoha needed to bring Tsunade back and improve Impure World Reincarnation to oppose Feng Yao. He began organizing a research team, then privately asked Danzo about the progress on Hashirama’s cells.

  • Obito seethed over Kakashi’s betrayal and feared what Feng Yao might do to Rin’s body.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi rejected Danzo’s push for action, pointing out that no one in the Hokage’s office could defeat Feng Yao.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi sent Utatane Koharu and Jiraiya to bring Tsunade back to Konoha.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi proposed improving Impure World Reincarnation to revive the First Hokage and Tobirama Senju, and the others agreed to establish a research team.
  • After the others left, Hiruzen Sarutobi asked Danzo about the research on the First Hokage’s wood release cells, and Danzo claimed it was going well.

Ch. 69Who was she?

Hiruzen Sarutobi approved more funding for Danzo's Hashirama-cell research despite doubting him. In Amegakure, Feng Yao explained Yugito's presence to Izumi, Karin, and Ajisai as they brought food to visit him.

  • Danzo told Hiruzen that Hashirama cells were dangerous to most people but claimed his research had made progress and needed more funding.
  • Hiruzen reluctantly agreed to provide Danzo with additional funding while warning him to produce results.
  • Izumi, Karin, and Ajisai arrived at Feng Yao's home with bentos and found Yugito answering the door.
  • Feng Yao told the girls that Yugito was his captive and that he kept her nearby because she was the Two-Tails' perfect jinchūriki.
  • The girls accepted Feng Yao's explanation and came inside, while Yugito silently judged his excuses and found his discomfort amusing.

Ch. 70Departments

Feng Yao proposed dividing Amegakure’s growing workload among four government departments, and Konan helped shape the plan. The next day, invited candidates gathered at the Rain Shadow Building as the village prepared to appoint department heads.

  • Feng Yao found Konan overwhelmed by the flood of national affairs and proposed creating Military, Administrative, Economic, and Science Departments beneath the Rain Shadow.
  • Feng Yao suggested Orochimaru for Science and Kakuzu for Economics, while Konan appeared set to lead Administration; they left the Military Department’s leadership undecided.
  • Feng Yao and Konan discussed how to implement the new structure, and Konan arranged invitations for candidates by the following day.
  • Invited shinobi, elders, and village leaders gathered at the Rain Shadow Building, where Feng Yao, Konan, Kakuzu, and Setsuna sat at the head.
  • Uchiha members helped maintain order, eager to support Amegakure after its villagers welcomed them and sympathized with their experiences.

Ch. 71Kimimaro

Feng Yao learned that Obito had fled to Konoha and that Tsunade had returned, then traveled to the Land of Water to find Kimimaro before Orochimaru could recruit him. He found Kimimaro in a village, where the boy expected to be killed.

  • Amegakure established its departments, with Konan, Setsuna, Kakuzu, Orochimaru, Ibuse Lufei, and Uchiha Fugaku taking leadership roles.
  • A White Zetsu reported that Kimimaro was in a village near Kirigakure, while Black Zetsu revealed that Obito had fled to Konoha and exposed the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan.
  • Black Zetsu told Feng Yao that Tsunade had returned to Konoha, and Feng Yao decided to visit the village to obtain her Shikkotsu Forest Senjutsu.
  • Feng Yao traveled with Shin to the Land of Water, where Shin killed Kirigakure ninja who attacked them.
  • Feng Yao found Kimimaro sitting alone on the outskirts of a village and asked whether he was Kimimaro.
  • Kimimaro mistook Feng Yao for a Kirigakure pursuer and told him to kill him, believing he had nothing left to live for.

Ch. 72Not bad~

Feng Yao welcomed the starving Kimimaro into his group and took him from the village, where Kisame and Kirigakure ninja ambushed them. After defeating the attackers with genjutsu, Feng Yao faced the still-standing Kisame.

  • Feng Yao offered Kimimaro acceptance and invited him to leave Kirigakure with him, and Shin introduced himself as Uchiha Shin.
  • Feng Yao took Shin and Kimimaro to eat, bought Kimimaro new clothes, and led them out of the village.
  • Shin noticed they were being followed, and Kisame confronted them with Kirigakure ninja.
  • Shin and Kimimaro fought and killed several attackers while Feng Yao absorbed their water ninjutsu and killed two more ninja.
  • Kisame thought he had cut Feng Yao in half, but Feng Yao revealed that he had trapped Kisame's companions in genjutsu and asked Kisame, "Not bad, Kisame~"

Ch. 73Yugito, Kumogakure's safety is in your hands

Yugito secretly contacted Kumogakure and reported that Amegakure had left her free and seemed to be following Kumogakure’s development model. After reading her report, A decided to have Yugito win over Uchiha Fengyao, leaving her flustered by his letter.

  • Yugito explored Amegakure, noticed its industrial development resembled Kumogakure’s, and concluded that Feng Yao admired Kumogakure.
  • A Kumogakure woman found Yugito, who arranged to send a report to A through her the next day.
  • A read Yugito’s letter with Mabui, Darui, Samui, and Killer B, and the group took pride in Feng Yao’s apparent interest in Kumogakure’s technology.
  • A proposed that Yugito win Feng Yao over and offered to make him Raikage; Darui agreed to try the plan.
  • Yugito received A’s letter telling her that Kumogakure’s safety depended on her winning Feng Yao over, and she blushed at the thought of him.

Ch. 74Third Hokage: Address Me by My Title When We're at Work!

After the Uchiha Clan left Konoha, the other ninja clans used the Military Police Force to protect their own interests and punish civilians, prompting Hiruzen Sarutobi to investigate. At a high-level meeting, he confronted the clans over their abuses, and Danzo defended their actions before Hiruzen demanded that he use his title at work.

  • After the Uchiha Clan left Konoha, the Hyuga Clan won control of the Military Police Force, and the major clans used it to protect their businesses and mistreat civilians.
  • Hyuga Hiashi ordered the arrest and torture of villagers who insulted the Hyuga Clan, and other major clans followed his example.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi received reports of arrests and disappearances, suspected Danzo's involvement, and ordered Yamato to investigate.
  • After Yamato reported what he had learned, Hiruzen Sarutobi convened a meeting with the clan heads, Jonin, and Military Police Force leaders.
  • Danzo defended the clans' treatment of villagers, and Hiruzen Sarutobi told him to address him by his title when they were at work.

Ch. 75Danzo: I'm not taking the blame

Hiruzen Sarutobi warned the clan heads about abuses in the village and formed a Forbidden Technique Research Group to improve Impure World Reincarnation. At Rin’s grave, Obito rejected Kakashi’s attempt to speak with him while privately blaming Feng Yao for what had happened to Rin’s body.

  • Hiashi admitted that villagers from his clan had caused trouble and promised Hiruzen Sarutobi he would handle them leniently.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi announced that he would lead the Forbidden Technique Research Group, with Danzo as deputy, and ordered the clans to provide ninjutsu researchers.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi questioned Danzo about the disappearances, and Danzo denied capturing the villagers.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi offered Danzo funding and personnel to rebuild Root in exchange for quietly monitoring the ninja clans, and Danzo agreed.
  • At Rin’s gravestone, Kakashi tried to address Obito and felt guilty for failing Rin and losing Obito’s Sharingan.
  • Obito blamed Feng Yao for Rin’s condition, took private satisfaction in Kakashi’s guilt, and left the cemetery.
