• Golden chains cut through several Shinobi and bound Gengetsu, but Mū destroyed the Adamantine Sealing Chains with Dust Release under Black Zetsu’s control.
• Gengetsu complained at Mū for freeing him, then Black Zetsu forced him to create another Fat Man Clone while the fighting continued around Tobirama and Itachi.
• Naruto used hit-and-run attacks to stall Indra, waiting for his teacher to arrive and watching for another powerful presence underground.
• Hinata arrived in Tenseigan Chakra Mode and used Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion to sever the Susanoo’s wings.

Itachi and Tenzo battled the Satori and the Third Kazekage’s forces while Izumi awakened her Mangekyō Sharingan to save Itachi. They destroyed the exploding clone, but remained under heavy attack as Tobirama struggled against his own pursuers.

• Itachi’s Susanoo sealed one Satori to save Izumi, but the strain made him collapse.
• Seeing Itachi fall and her teammates down, Izumi awakened her Mangekyō Sharingan, restoring Itachi’s strength and stamina.
• Izumi used her Mangekyō’s physical enhancement to batter the remaining Satori, and Tenzo and Itachi prepared to back her up.
• The Third Kazekage attacked with iron sand, forcing Tenzo to raise another Wood Locking Wall.
• Itachi used Amaterasu to burn away the fat clone’s outer oil layer and make it explode.
• Tobirama remained unable to help Itachi because the Raikage, Tsuchikage, Mizukage, and two Jinchūriki were attacking him.

Izumi awakened her Mangekyō and attacked Satori, but Mū’s Dust Release threatened to kill her and Itachi. Sasuke used Momentary Splendor to save Itachi, then arrived with the Konoha Military Police Force and other reinforcements as Fugaku led the counterattack.

• Izumi awakened her Mangekyō and overwhelmed Satori, prompting Black Zetsu to send Mū’s Dust Release toward her.
• Itachi used Flying Thunder God to reach Izumi, then stayed behind as a crimson Susanoo knocked her clear of the Dust Release.
• Sasuke used Momentary Splendor to reach Itachi and pull him from the Dust Release, pushing his Dōjutsu to its limit.
• Sasuke arrived with Fugaku and the Konoha Military Police Force, while ANBU and Root reinforcements surrounded the forest.
• Fugaku charged Satori with Sasuke as the other Shinobi joined the effort to encircle and wipe out the White Zetsu.

Kakashi and Might Guy fought the White Zetsu while the battle against Indra and the reanimated shinobi continued. Black Zetsu sent the unwilling Asura into the fight, and Indra struggled against Hinata and Naruto.

• Kakashi and Might Guy attacked the White Zetsu, and Might Guy opened the Seventh Gate and used Daytime Tiger to crush a row of them.
• Kakashi headed for the fissure but Yagura intercepted him, forcing Kakashi to fight the reanimated Fourth Mizukage.
• Black Zetsu used a talisman to send Asura, whose mouth was stuffed with a sandbag, onto the battlefield.
• Tobirama kept attacking Hozuki Gengetsu and the other reanimated Kage with Flying Thunder God, while his remaining time dwindled.
• Hinata and Naruto knocked Indra's Susanoo back, but Indra resumed grappling with Kurama after noticing Asura.

Asura, controlled by talismans planted by his brother, emerged in a towering Wood Human and disrupted the Allied Shinobi Forces’ battle. Sasuke used Izuna’s power to form an armored Susanoo and kill one Satori, while Asura realized that Sasuke and Naruto were his brother’s and his own reincarnations.

• Asura struggled against the talismans controlling him as his Wood Human rose from underground and crushed White Zetsu.
• Tobirama and the other shinobi reacted to the Wood Human’s arrival, while Tenzo compared his Wood Release to its immense power.
• The Satori took flight again and prepared to bombard the battlefield, but Itachi discovered that his Flying Thunder God marks on them had vanished.
• Sasuke accepted Izuna’s power, formed a winged Susanoo, and cut one Satori in half.
• Asura recognized Sasuke as his brother’s reincarnation and Naruto as his own, and wondered why the two were still fighting.

Sasuke drew Asura away from the battlefield while Tobirama and Karin sealed Gengetsu, Mū, and the Third Raikage. With his reanimated body nearing its limit, Tobirama prepared to send the sealed Kage to the Land of Wind and went to check on his older brother.

• Fugaku watched Sasuke's Susanoo and wondered whether his own fighting style was outdated before returning to attack White Zetsu.
• Sasuke fought Asura's Wood Human, then flew toward the great rift to draw the battle away from the others.
• Tobirama teleported Gengetsu to Karin, who sealed him with an Eight Trigrams Formation.
• Tobirama used Flying Thunder God to bring Mū to Karin and have him sealed as well.
• Tobirama blinded the Third Raikage with the Bringer-of-Darkness Technique while Karin reinforced the three Kage's seals.
• Tobirama decided to send the sealed Kage to the desert in the Land of Wind, then left to check on his older brother.

Tobirama returned to the Root Base, gave Hashirama his clothes, and placed his own body in Hashirama’s Cultivation Pod before Hashirama could ask how to reach the battlefield. As Hashirama headed there, Indra unleashed his full power against Naruto and challenged him to a decisive fight.

• Tobirama found Hashirama in his underwear and lent him his lab coat and pants.
• Tobirama stored his body in Hashirama’s Cultivation Pod, leaving Hashirama to find the battlefield on his own.
• Hashirama left the Root Base and used Sage Mode to sense his way toward the fighting.
• Black Zetsu told Indra to stop holding back and took control of Asura’s body.
• Indra powered up Susanoo with lightning and blasted Kurama away, while Hinata attacked and pursued Naruto.
• Naruto rejected being defined as Asura’s reincarnation, then shaped Kurama into a wooden-armored form and counterattacked Indra.

Naruto and Hinata joined forces against Indra, who unleashed a lightning arrow from Susanoo after they distracted him with Wood Release and Hinata's summoning of Hamura's stone statue. Their combined defenses weakened the attack until they stopped and shattered it, leaving the battle unresolved.

• Naruto drew on Kurama's chakra to create eight fox-shaped Wood Humans that attacked Indra's Susanoo with Deep Forest Emergence.
• Hinata used the Tenseigan's connection to summon a stone statue of Hamura onto Susanoo, distracting Indra before he knocked it to the ground.

As the battle continued, Sasuke struggled against Black Zetsu-controlled Asura, and Fugaku asked Itachi whether Sasuke’s eyes had undergone an ancestral reversion.

• Hashirama reached the battlefield perimeter, where a Root shinobi recognized him and let him pass.
• Indra fired Indra’s Arrow at Naruto and Hinata, but their combined attack shattered it before Hashirama arrived.
• Hashirama summoned a Wood Human, punched Susanoo in the chin, and dragged it down by the leg.
• Kakashi defeated Yagura and handed him to Karin for sealing, while Fugaku, Itachi, and Izumi restrained the Third Kazekage for Karin to seal.
• Black Zetsu took control of Asura, whose Wood Human relentlessly pressured Sasuke as Izuna’s attacks failed to stop its regeneration.
• Fugaku asked Itachi whether Sasuke’s eyes had undergone an ancestral reversion, and Itachi confirmed that they had.

Itachi used Shisui’s eye and contacted Orochimaru while Sasuke stalled Black Zetsu-controlled Asura. As Asura summoned a colossal wooden Buddha, Itachi declared that a path to victory had appeared and teleported into Sasuke’s Susanoo.

• Itachi replaced his eye with Shisui’s Mangekyō and explained that it held the Kotoamatsukami Genjutsu.
• Black Zetsu took control of Asura, who summoned the Sage Art: Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands and emerged as a five-hundred-meter wooden Buddha.
• Itachi summoned a messenger snake and contacted Orochimaru, who agreed to help and placed a seal on Itachi that would grant him ten seconds when activated.
• Itachi told Fugaku that victory was within reach, confessed his feelings to Izumi, and vanished into Sasuke’s Susanoo.

Itachi joined Sasuke inside Susanoo and directed him to get close to Asura while preparing a plan of his own. Sasuke used his time-stopping dōjutsu to approach, but fell short and was overwhelmed by Black Zetsu’s attacks; Itachi then leaped out of Susanoo and activated the Cursed Seal on his hand.

• Itachi used a Flying Thunder God Mark to appear beside Sasuke and told him to dodge Black Zetsu’s attacks and approach Asura.
• Sasuke piloted Susanoo through the giant Buddha’s reaching hands while Itachi asked him to use his dōjutsu.
• Sasuke stopped time and charged toward Asura, cutting through the frozen wooden hands, but the effect ended before he could reach him.
• Black Zetsu resumed his attacks and bombarded Susanoo with enormous fists as Sasuke’s eye bled from using his dōjutsu.
• Itachi told Sasuke to open Susanoo’s front, leaped out of the prism, and activated the Cursed Seal on his hand.

Itachi disrupted Black Zetsu’s control over Asura with Orochimaru’s cursed seal and then used Kotoamatsukami to free Asura. Asura revealed that Black Zetsu had imprisoned and exploited him, and Itachi cornered Black Zetsu underground as he tried to escape.

• Black Zetsu sensed Itachi approaching, but Orochimaru’s cursed seal erupted with natural energy and caused Black Zetsu and Asura to cry out in pain.
• Orochimaru emerged from the seal, revealed how he had transferred it to Black Zetsu through Kabuto, and was killed when Black Zetsu strangled him.
• Orochimaru’s soul backup awakened in Otogakure’s Underground Base and told Itachi to finish the fight.
• Itachi used Kotoamatsukami to make Asura obey him, and Asura thanked Itachi before explaining that Black Zetsu and his big brother had gagged and drained him to power the Box of Ultimate Bliss.

Itachi captured Black Zetsu, and Konoha’s forces defeated Indra after Asura and Naruto joined the battle. Afterward, Asura explained the reincarnations’ connection, while Hashirama struggled to make sense of Zetsu’s identity and Madara’s supposed relation to Asura.

• Tobirama asked Black Zetsu to explain who he was, but Black Zetsu mocked Madara and denied being his will.
• Madara realized Black Zetsu may have used him, while Hashirama calmed him down.
• Tobirama asked Asura to explain, and Asura said Black Zetsu was an uncle to him and Indra and was about a thousand years old.
• Asura began recounting what Black Zetsu had told him, including the Eye of the Moon Plan, but Black Zetsu angrily stopped him.
• Tobirama squirted water into Black Zetsu’s mouth repeatedly as Black Zetsu shouted that the descendants were unfilial.

Asura explained that Black Zetsu was born from Kaguya’s will and that the Eye of the Moon plan was meant to free her, while Madara insisted Tobirama had trapped him in a genjutsu. After hearing Indra’s reason for helping Zetsu, Tobirama concluded the terrorist group’s case was really a thousand-year family drama.

• Asura recounted how Hagoromo and Hamura sealed Kaguya and how Black Zetsu was created to help her escape.
• Tobirama realized the Eye of the Moon plan was intended to rescue Kaguya, but Madara accused him of inventing the story in a genjutsu.
• Madara refused to believe Tobirama was real, even after Tobirama sprayed him with a water gun and Hashirama tried to convince him.
• Asura finished explaining that Black Zetsu had used Impure World Reincarnation to bring them back, and Naruto released Asura from his restraints.

Black Zetsu offered Naruto the Rinne Rebirth technique in exchange for rescuing his mother, prompting him to reveal how he had manipulated Madara and the Uchiha. Madara realized the interrogation was real, while Tobirama warned Black Zetsu that Konoha could extract the information by force.

• Naruto asked Asura whether their grandmother was sealed inside the moon, and Asura said his father had mentioned something like that.
• Black Zetsu offered to teach Naruto Rinne Rebirth so he could bring Minato and Kushina back to life, and Naruto listened despite their warnings.

Naruto and Hinata interrogated Otsutsuki Toneri after he called Hinata the holy lady, learning that he came from the moon and was seeking her. Toneri revealed that his clan guarded the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path but could not prevent Madara from summoning it.

• Naruto stopped Toneri from approaching Hinata, and Hinata reassured Naruto that she loved him most.
• Naruto forced the boy to identify himself as Otsutsuki Toneri.
• In Konoha Root's interrogation room, Tobirama questioned Toneri about Hinata, Kaguya, and his missing eyes.

Toneri explained the moon Ōtsutsuki Clan’s history, Hinata’s Saintess title, and why he had come to Konoha, while discussing diplomatic ties with Tobirama. When Tobirama revealed that Black Zetsu was created by Princess Kaguya, Toneri was left shocked.

• Toneri explained that Hamura Otsutsuki brought some descendants to the moon, while those who stayed in the Shinobi World became the Hyuga Clan.
• Toneri said Hinata was named Saintess for inspiring reforms that ended the moon Ōtsutsuki Clan’s Main and Branch Family divisions, and that the Giant Tenseigan had let them observe some of her experiences.
• Toneri explained that he had come to check on Hinata after her summoning of Hamura’s statue caused Konoha’s Barrier to falter, and Hinata agreed to let the moon clan take the statue back.

Tobirama's group discussed rescuing Kaguya from the moon and considered using Obito's Kamui to bypass its immense gravity. The Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo Otsutsuki, appeared and asked whether they truly intended to free his mother.

• Tobirama gathered Hashirama, Asura, Naruto, and others to discuss rescuing Kaguya and possibly reviving Naruto's parents.
• Madara objected to trusting Black Zetsu with Rinne Rebirth, but Tobirama mocked him for having been deceived for years.

Naruto told Toneri about the danger Kaguya could pose and explained Tobirama’s plan to use the moon rather than gather all the Tailed Beasts. In prison, Kakashi revealed the truth about the Eye of the Moon Plan to Obito and asked him to use Kamui to bring Kaguya out of her seal on the moon.

• Naruto told Toneri that Hagoromo believed dangers might exist beyond the Shinobi World, and Hinata supported his concern.
