"Firefighting Captain, over here!"
"Captain Lin!"
"Boss!"
Seeing Lin Yuan arrive, Lilia and the other two happily came forward to greet him.
"Don't worry. I'm here."
Lin Yuan nodded and greeted them, then turned to the dark shadows beside them.
Besides Lilia and the other two, there were three dark shadows here. Even at such close range, however, he could not make out their shapes, as though their true forms were simply masses of blurry shadow.
"They are...?"
Lin Yuan asked with some curiosity.
Lilia promptly jumped forward and introduced them one by one:
"This is Big Bird, this is Big Cat, and this is Big Tortoise!"
The three shadows stirred slightly and seemed to make some sounds, but Lin Yuan could not make out what they were saying at all.
And judging by their appearances, they bore absolutely no resemblance to birds or anything of the sort.
He had no idea how Lilia had recognized them.
"What are they saying?" Seeing the three shadows swaying constantly, seemingly trying to express something, Lin Yuan could only ask Lilia for help, since he could not understand them at all.
"Oh, they said lots of things. Basically, they want to fight bad guys. Uh, no, that's not right. Not bad guys, but not good guys either..."
Lilia rattled on, making Lin Yuan's eyelids twitch.
Having Lilia serve as an interpreter between the two sides would undoubtedly be a tremendous disaster.
At that thought, Lin Yuan could not help looking toward Bai Ling and Never Skunked.
One had astonishing Inspiration, and the other's body had mutated. Perhaps they could communicate with these shadows?
But when Bai Ling and Never Skunked shook their heads, Lin Yuan knew he had been expecting too much.
*Do we really have to rely on Lilia as our bridge
