The survivors buzzed with discussion.

Only the man wearing gold-rimmed glasses in the off-road vehicle at the very front watched the rearview mirror and murmured, "A 100% awakening of Sequence Transcendence! You're the only one I've ever seen. The data doesn't lie! Don't disappoint me!"

The convoy raced onward as though something were chasing it, not daring to stop for even a moment.

Only the captain, Old Cao, kept gesturing over a map, seemingly calculating something.

This also caused the convoy to backtrack from time to time, going around in circles like a headless chicken.

They traveled like this for a full day and night.

Many of those following on foot had long since fallen behind, and even a few of the cyclists couldn't keep up.

The only one who stayed close behind the convoy the whole time was Yang Yong.

Finally, when the convoy reached an open area, Old Cao ordered a halt.

An assistant immediately climbed out and shouted, "Everyone, stop! We'll rest here until tomorrow morning!"

Many people collapsed to the ground in exhaustion and fell asleep right in the dirt, without even the strength to find something to fill their stomachs.

Fortunately, the weather wasn't too cold. Otherwise, pushing themselves like this would certainly have made them sick.

After cycling for a full day and night, Yang Yong actually felt refreshed. Only his backside ached terribly from the hard seat.

Ever since he had attached a piece of iron to his bicycle, his whole body felt warm while riding, and the effect on restoring his mental energy was comparable to a good rest.

He set up his camping stove, placed a pot on it, and boiled water for instant noodles.

He had found this set of camping cookware while gathering supplies earlier. Unfortunately, he had only two canisters of gas left. Once those ran out, the stove would be completely useless.

Soon, the noodles were ready, and Yang Yong added a ham sausage.

Three months into the apocalypse, getting to eat something like this was already an incredible luxury.

Just as he was about to eat, a woman suddenly approached.

"Please, give me something to eat. I'll do anything!"

As she spoke, the woman brushed back her yellowed, tangled hair, trying to make herself look a little attractive.

But her face was covered in grime, and who knew how long it had been since she had washed it? Even if she really had been somewhat pretty before the apocalypse, only someone utterly starved for sex would be tempted by her current appearance.

Yang Yong shook his head and refused outright.

The woman didn't pester him. She immediately turned to find her next target.

Yang Yong watched her slip into a man's tent, a trace of indifference passing through his eyes.

In the three months since the apocalypse, he had seen far too many things like this.

Some people didn't dare go out to gather supplies and could only trade their bodies within the convoy for the resources they needed to survive.

Ultimately, in the apocalypse, everyone was doing whatever it took to stay alive, even things they would never have dared imagine before.

Yang Yong lifted the pot and enjoyed every last bite, even licking the broth from the bottom until it was spotless.

Only then did he put up his tent and fall into a deep sleep.

"Ah! Someone's dead!"

Early the next morning, a piercing scream tore through the sky and rang throughout the convoy.

Yang Yong jolted awake and hurried out of his tent.

A crowd had gathered around a tent, pointing and talking in an uproar.

He squeezed through the crowd and saw the scene inside at a glance.

The man who had taken that woman in last night was dead!

The man lay naked on the ground, his skin stripped away completely. The exposed patterns of his bright red muscles made the onlookers' scalps prickle.

Fuck! This was an Eerie!

An Eerie had actually slipped into the convoy!

Yang Yong abruptly raised his head and looked around. The survivors' faces were filled with grief, while some of the quicker thinkers looked frightened at how close they had come and quietly backed away.

Soon, the convoy's Transcendents arrived.

Leading them was Wang Ying, the short-haired woman with the blade, followed by Big Lunk Zheng Xiaofeng. Only after them came Captain Old Cao, with two assistants beside him.

"What happened?" An assistant stepped forward and demanded sharply.

The survivor who had first discovered the body quickly explained the situation.

Wang Ying crouched down and examined it carefully for a while. Her brows knitted tightly as she said hesitantly, "He's dead. Judging by the wounds, it looks like a Skinning Ghost killed him."

An uproar erupted!

At those words, the onlookers instantly burst into a frenzy, backing away in terror and only daring to watch the ghastly tent from a distance.

"Everyone, leave!" The assistant immediately began restoring order and dispersing the crowd.

"Captain! An Eerie got into the group. How did you not notice?"

"Exactly! Aren't you a Transcendent? You couldn't even detect a single Eerie?"

"Are we following you just to get ourselves killed?"

Accusations rose one after another, and everyone's eyes settled on the Transcendents.

Wang Ying remained impassive and said nothing.

Zheng Xiaofeng looked embarrassed, scratching his head without knowing what to say.

Only Old Cao remained frighteningly calm, as though the crowd's accusations had nothing to do with him.

Yang Yong stood silently at the edge of the crowd, taking it all in.

In the end, Wang Ying abruptly drew the long blade at her waist and roared, "Get the hell out of here!"

An icy killing intent spread, and the noisy crowd instantly fell silent. No one dared say another word, and they all retreated in disarray.

Yang Yong left with them, but before he went, his gaze fell on Wang Ying's blade.

Strange. Half of that blade had clearly snapped off yesterday. How was it completely intact today?

Though full of questions, he didn't dare ask. He silently returned to his tent, but kept his eyes fixed in the direction of Old Cao and the others.

He saw Old Cao take out a black notebook and lower his head to write and draw in it, recording who knew what.

Only after about thirty minutes did Old Cao have someone drag the skinned corpse away, dig a pit in the distance, and hastily bury it.

Afterward, the Transcendents returned to their respective tents.

Before long, the convoy assistant's shouts rang out again. "Everyone, get ready immediately! We're leaving right away!"

For a moment, the Camp erupted into a frenzy.

Some took down their tents while others packed their backpacks. Everyone was rushed off their feet.

In just three minutes, the convoy was ready and set off again.

Three off-road vehicles led the way, with everyone else following behind.

Yang Yong turned toward where he had parked, ready to get on his bicycle and continue the journey, but the next second, he froze.

"What the fuck! Where's my bicycle?"

Only then did he realize that the shared bicycle he had picked up had vanished without a trace!

Fuck! Who did this?

Yang Yong scanned the entire area, but there was no sign of the bicycle.

He closed his eyes, relying on his special connection with the iron fragment, then abruptly opened them and fixed his gaze on the bus ahead.

He could sense his blue shared bicycle inside that very bus!

But the bus had already driven some distance away.

Yang Yong gritted his teeth and broke into a run after it.

Fuck! When I find out who stole my bicycle, I won't let him get away with it!

Cursing inwardly, he secretly formed a sword seal with his fingers. An almost imperceptible streak of light instantly flew out of the bus and shot into his body as fast as lightning. It was the very piece of iron he had embedded in his bicycle.
