Inside the Interrogation Room, the light was so dim it was as if the corner had been invaded by darkness.

All around were hung all sorts of chilling instruments of torture, with intertwined chains hanging from the ceiling and rows of barbed hooks hanging on the walls, the spikes still stained with dried blood.

Sweat beaded on Ibiki Morino's face, sliding down his resolute features and soaking his collar.

His chest heaved violently as he gasped for breath, as if he had just been through a fierce battle.

He rested his hands on his knees, leaning slightly forward to support his weary body.
