Facing the Admirals

On the frozen sea off Dressrosa.

Esdeath and Kuzan stared fiercely at each other, their murderous auras colliding.

Boom!

The next moment.

Their auras instantly clashed like two prehistoric beasts tearing into each other.

Esdeath said without a trace of emotion:

"You really are strong!"

The corners of her mouth lifted slightly as an almost crazed fighting spirit erupted in her eyes.

She had never expected to encounter an opponent of this caliber here. Now, the blood of a warrior race in Esdeath's body had begun to boil!

It was the desire to battle the strong.

"Just where did the Jujutsu Pirates come from?"

"Even two random members can match Admiral Kuzan and Admiral Akainu in sheer presence. They even seem to have a slight edge."

"That Rumble-Rumble Fruit user is stronger than us Vice Admirals too, and he has the potential to become an Admiral!"

"Who the hell are these people?!"

The five Marine Vice Admirals stared in astonishment at Sasuke and Esdeath confronting Akainu and Kuzan, as well as Enel, who kept attacking Kizaru.

They had never expected the members of the Jujutsu Pirates to possess a presence that rivaled the Marine Admirals.

The five Marine Vice Admirals were startled.

"This woman."

Muttering those words, Kuzan's gaze grew grave.

Without a doubt, he felt pressure from the aura Esdeath emitted. If he did not give it everything he had, she might very well kill him.

She's charging at me!

So fast!

He watched Esdeath charge toward him. She was incredibly fast, reaching him in an instant.

"Ice saber!"

Kuzan immediately exhaled a breath of cold air, forming an ice saber in his hand and blocking the slash from Esdeath's Rapier.

Boom!

The collision between the two blades produced a tremendous boom. The clash of their forces created a powerful shock wave that cracked even the frozen sea.

"Ice Block: Partisan!"

Seeing that Esdeath's strength matched his own-no, that it was even greater-Kuzan used Ice Block: Partisan.

Ice materialized in midair, then rapidly condensed into several spears that shot toward Esdeath in front of him.

With her Rapier in hand, Esdeath had no way to block this move. If she retreated to dodge, he would press his advantage and strike her. If she took it head-on, she would surely suffer serious injuries!

An ordinary person would have no way to withstand such an assault.

"Hmph."

Looking at the ice spears forming before her, Esdeath snorted, stamped her right foot, and shouted:

"Ice pillars!"

The instant she spoke, two ice pillars shot out of the frozen surface on either side of her, destroying the ice spears flying toward her and piercing Kuzan's body.

Kuzan's impaled body turned into a pile of ice before reforming into a human shape.

"Whew..."

Exhaling a breath of cold air, Kuzan said:

"You use your ice powers quite well!"

"Elementalization? Your ability really is troublesome!"

Esdeath grinned.

The stronger and more troublesome her opponent was, the more excited she became, and the higher her fighting spirit rose.

Elsewhere.

By now, the clash between Sasuke's and Akainu's auras had also reached its peak.

"Die!"

Seeing that Esdeath had already begun fighting, Sasuke hesitated no longer and slashed out with his Kusanagi Sword.

"Armament Haki!"

Akainu coated his fists with Armament Haki and clashed with Sasuke's Kusanagi Sword.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

As the two fought, the collisions between fist and sword produced a series of tremendous crashes.

This guy really does use Armament Haki and Observation Haki well!

It might be a little difficult to settle this with the Armament Haki and Observation Haki I just learned!

Sasuke analyzed the information he had gained during the fight.

Even though Sasuke was a rare genius, he had only learned Haki recently. There was still a considerable gap between him and a veteran powerhouse like Akainu, who had honed his Armament Haki and Observation Haki to their limits.

There was no point in continuing to settle things with Haki. With that thought, Akainu hesitated no longer and used his Devil Fruit ability, turning his arm into magma and shaping it into a dog's head that lunged to bite Sasuke.

The surging magma came straight at him, making even the ice begin to melt, as though it would burn away the very space around it.

As one of Akainu's highly destructive moves, its might was truly extraordinary.

It obliterated everything in its path.

"Hmph."

Watching the magma surge toward him, Sasuke snorted.

His aura began to rise, and then his one exposed eye began to change.

The bewitching pattern of the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan appeared.

An eerie aura emanated from his blood-red pupil.

This was Sasuke's Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

"Well, well, using the Mangekyō Sharingan this early? Which will come out on top, ocular techniques or Devil Fruits? I'm really looking forward to this!"

Hovering in midair with his arms folded, Satoru Gojo showed no intention of intervening.

Farther away in the sky.

Kizaru moved as yellow light, and an enormous bolt of blue lightning blasted toward that yellow light with incredible speed.

Boom!

Having dodged, Kizaru watched the blue lightning blast a crater into the frozen sea nearby and said in an odd tone:

"How terrifying! The Rumble-Rumble Fruit really is something else!"

Enel sat cross-legged in midair, propping his head on one hand as he said:

"You're pretty fast! Then let's see who's faster today! Yahahaha!"

As his words fell, Enel had already flashed to Kizaru's side, his lightning-wreathed hand about to strike him.

"Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven!"

A yellow sword of light formed in Kizaru's hand, blocking Enel's attack.

"Your ability really is terrifying!"

Kizaru blocked Enel's attack effortlessly, showing no sign of finding it terrifying at all.

"Bastard! You dare look down on this god!"

Seemingly sensing that Kizaru did not take him seriously, Enel grew furious, and the lightning in his hand became even fiercer.

"Not at all. I'm already giving it everything I've got! Your lightning strikes alone nearly overwhelmed me! Yes! Just barely!"

A sleazy expression appeared on Kizaru's already sleazy face.

"Well, well! Kizaru's doing a good job. It'd be better if he made Enel suffer a little more! He's far too arrogant. That overbearing personality of his needs to be reined in!"

Watching Enel and Kizaru's duel in the sky, Satoru Gojo did not mind Kizaru toying with Enel at all. He even hoped Kizaru would teach Enel a lesson.

After all, Enel was far too arrogant. He needed some tempering.
