"Can you pinpoint the source of the interference?"
Lorne strode over to the console and looked at the radar screen flashing red.
"No, boss."
Ryan gritted his teeth, sweat beading on his forehead.
"The deep-sea currents here are too complicated, and the water pressure fluctuates wildly. Sending out Observation Haki is like pushing through thick mud. I can't sense anything clearly."
"My Observation Haki is being severely disrupted too."
Kuina closed her eyes and tried as well, then spoke with her brows tightly furrowed, sounding a little dejected.
"My sensing range has been compressed to less than fifty meters. Beyond that, it's all chaotic noise. I can't distinguish specific targets at all."
"That's the unique environment of the deep sea."
Lorne patted Kuina's shoulder and reassured her.
"The moving currents and high pressure distort Haki perception. Don't force yourself to sense things. You'll drain too much of your mental energy."
"But if Observation Haki stops working, how are we supposed to guard against any dangers that might appear?"

"Having our senses obstructed doesn't mean we're blind."
