An eerie silence fell before the mansion gates.
The only sound was Zenitsu Agatsuma's piercing wails, as though he were on the verge of breathing his last.

His tears and snot had already smeared half of Tanjiro's haori.
Tanjiro was at a loss, unsure whether to comfort him first or deal with the murderous boar-man.
And that boar-man, Inosuke Hashibira, fixed his gaze firmly on Sasuke after a brief burst of wild laughter.
His animal instincts were frantically sounding an alarm.
Danger.
The black-haired guy before him was the most dangerous and most powerful one here.
That solid, icy aura was like an unshakable mountain.
Rather than feeling afraid, Inosuke trembled all over with excitement.
A strong opponent!
Now this was someone worth challenging!
"Hey! You with the black hair!"
Inosuke pointed his serrated blade at Sasuke, his muffled, arrogant voice coming from beneath the boar mask.
"You sniveling weakling, and you with the scar on your forehead, get out of my way!"
"I'm going to settle who's stronger, me or this guy!"
Sasuke could not even be bothered to lift his eyelids.
He merely stood there quietly, yet the aura around him made even the air grow heavy.
To him, the farce these three were putting on was even more irritating than the demon inside the mansion.
One was hopelessly naive.
One was sickeningly cowardly.
And the last was a pure beast with nothing but muscle in his skull.
What an utterly awful combination.
At those words, Tanjiro hurried between them, trying to stop this pointless infighting.
"Please wait! We're all comrades in the Demon Slayer Corps! We have a common enemy right now. We shouldn't be attacking each other!"
