After a demon killed his parents, Uesugi Sasuke used the Sasuke Template System to hunt demons and gain powerful techniques. He trained under Jigoro Kuwajima, awakened the Sharingan, and mastered a controlled Chidori, but Kuwajima challenged him to find something worth protecting as Sasuke continued training alongside Zenitsu Agatsuma.

• Uesugi Sasuke found a gray-skinned demon devouring his father, and after it nearly killed him, his hatred awakened the Sasuke Template System and healed his injuries.
• Uesugi Sasuke escaped the demon, buried his parents, and swore revenge before the system sent him to hunt three lone demons for revenge points.
• Uesugi Sasuke killed demons to unlock the Great Fireball Technique and Chidori, then injured himself when Chidori’s speed carried him toward a cliff.
• Uesugi Sasuke traveled to Mount Momoyama and persuaded Jigoro Kuwajima to teach him Thunder Breathing after demonstrating his dangerous lightning power.
• Uesugi Sasuke struggled with swordsmanship and Thunder Breathing while training alongside Zenitsu Agatsuma, then combined breathing with chakra to awaken the One-Tomoe Sharingan.

Sasuke entered Final Selection, killed the Hand Demon, and earned his place in the Demon Slayer Corps. On a mission in Northern Town, he fought alongside Tanjiro and saw Nezuko protect a human, leaving him to reconsider his belief that every demon had to die.

• Sasuke secretly hunted demons on Mount Momoyama, awakened his Two-Tomoe Sharingan, and promised Jigoro Kuwajima he would wait for permission before leaving again.
• Sasuke and Zenitsu left for Final Selection, where Sasuke hunted demons with his unconventional techniques and Kiriya Ubuyashiki ordered his abilities kept secret.
• Sasuke killed the Hand Demon after learning it had murdered Kuwajima’s disciples, then bowed toward the broken fox masks and left the mountain.
• Sasuke returned as one of five survivors, received his black Nichirin Blade and a Kasugai Crow, and was sent to investigate missing girls in Northern Town.
• Sasuke met Tanjiro and learned that the demon in his box was his sister Nezuko, then joined him in tracking the Swamp Demon.
• Nezuko protected Kazumi by killing a Swamp Demon, causing Sasuke to loosen his grip on his blade and question his beliefs about demons.
• Sasuke and Tanjiro fought the Swamp Demons together, and Sasuke destroyed the clones with a Great Fireball Technique before killing the original with Chidori.
• Sasuke confronted Tanjiro about traveling with Nezuko, but recalled Kuwajima’s advice and let them go after warning that he would kill Nezuko if she harmed anyone.

Sasuke and Tanjiro’s joint mission led them through the shifting mansion and into the deadly forest of Mount Natagumo, where Sasuke killed several demons while Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu faced their own battles. When Rui threatened Tanjiro and Nezuko, Sasuke claimed the Lower Five as his prey and demonstrated that he could counter Rui’s Blood Demon Art.

• Sasuke and Tanjiro investigated the shifting mansion, where Sasuke killed Kyogai while Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Hui rescued the trapped children and Inosuke fought lesser demons.
• At the Wisteria House, Sasuke subdued Inosuke in a practice duel and later overheard Tanjiro explain that he fought to protect Nezuko, stirring memories of Sasuke’s murdered family.
• The group received orders to go to Mount Natagumo, where Sasuke followed the threads controlling Demon Slayer Corps members and freed them before tracking the source.
• Sasuke found Mother, burned her thread defenses and puppets, and decapitated her, earning 800 revenge points.
• The Father Spider Demon overwhelmed Inosuke and Tanjiro, but Sasuke arrived and killed it with Chidori, while Zenitsu poisoned by the Big Brother Spider Demon defeated it with Thunderclap and Flash: Sixfold Strike.
• Rui confronted Sasuke, Tanjiro, and Inosuke, then attacked Tanjiro after condemning Nezuko and declaring that he would make the siblings part of his family.
• Tanjiro used Hinokami Kagura and Nezuko’s Exploding Blood against Rui, but Giyu Tomioka intervened with Dead Calm just as Rui’s threads threatened to kill them.
• Sasuke stopped Giyu from striking Rui, claimed the Lower Five as his prey, dodged Rui’s contracting thread cage, and burned the demon’s enormous Thread Prison-Heavenly Net with Fire Release: Phoenix Flower Jutsu.

Sasuke killed Rui, earned the Hashira’s recognition by defeating the Information Demon with Kirin, and was formally named the Thunder Hashira. At the Butterfly Mansion, he trained Tanjiro and Inosuke, noticed Zenitsu’s hidden talent, and agreed to work with Shinobu on a poison capable of killing Muzan, on his own terms.

• Sasuke killed Rui, and the Master ordered Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Sasuke escorted to headquarters, where Sasuke defended Nezuko before the Hashira and Kagaya named him a Hashira-level Candidate.
• Sasuke accepted a mission to find the Information Demon in the City of Wind Chimes and traced its network of altered messages to the Wind Chime House.
• Sasuke overwhelmed the Information Demon with Chidori Stream, then summoned Kirin from the storm clouds and annihilated it.
• After the Hashira heard reports of Kirin, Kagaya formally named Sasuke the Thunder Hashira, and Sasuke visited Jigoro Kuwajima to tell him he had inherited the position.
• At the Butterfly Mansion, Sasuke demonstrated how Tanjiro could improve his Constant Flux and defeated Inosuke by outmaneuvering him.
• Sasuke used his Sharingan to discover that Zenitsu unconsciously maintained Total Concentration: Constant and recognized his natural affinity for lightning.
• Shinobu found that Sasuke’s body could contain immense energy and poison, and proposed developing a toxin to kill Muzan.
• Sasuke used genjutsu to make Kanao question her reliance on her coin, then agreed to Shinobu’s poison plan on condition that she share all her research and the complete formula.
