When Yoriichi died after defeating him with one slash, Michikatsu’s resentment erupted and he cut his brother’s corpse in two.

  • Yoriichi left for a temple, gave Michikatsu a wooden flute, and told him to take care of their ill mother; Michikatsu later inherited leadership of the family.

  • Fearing death before he could surpass Yoriichi, Michikatsu accepted Muzan Kibutsuji’s offer and became a demon.
  • Yoriichi confronted Michikatsu fifty years later and stopped his sword at Michikatsu’s neck before dying of old age.
  • Enraged that Yoriichi had outlived the Mark and defeated him again, Michikatsu slashed his brother’s corpse in two.
