Kokushibo survived beheading by transforming into a more monstrous demon, but seeing his reflection made him question the obsession that had sustained him. As Gyomei Himejima and Sanemi Shinazugawa attacked, Kokushibo crumbled into ash, leaving the surviving Demon Slayers exhausted and wounded.
Sanemi and Genya reconciled as the medicine delivered by a Kasugai Crow stabilized Genya and Muichiro. Meanwhile, Takanashi Rokuno learned that Upper Rank One had fallen and led Kanae and Shinobu toward Muzan for the final battle.
After the Demon Slayer Corps gathered to prepare for Muzan, his presence erupted through the Infinity Castle, signaling that he had awakened. Rokuya led the charge toward him, but the platform he stepped onto suddenly shot upward.
Rokuya was trapped on a high platform by the demon controlling the Infinity Castle and warned the others not to pursue him. Muzan attacked the gathered Demon Slayer Corps members below, while Tanjiro struggled to stop one of his thorn whips.
The injured Hashira struggled to withstand Muzan’s assault until Obanai Iguro and Mitsuri Kanroji joined the defense and awakened Bright Red Nichirin Swords, briefly suppressing Muzan’s regeneration. Meanwhile, Yushiro searched the Infinity Castle and found the female demon controlling it fused into its walls.
Yushiro tried to reach Nakime but was driven back as she rearranged the Infinity Castle and attacked the Kasugai Crows. Muzan overwhelmed the Hashira with a new berserk transformation, and Rokuya, trapped above the battlefield, broke down as he watched his allies suffer.
Yushiro navigated the Infinity Castle’s shifting spaces and used the Kasugai Crows to locate Nakime again in its central depths. Meanwhile, Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu, Sanemi, and Gyomei coordinated their attacks against Muzan, leaving him briefly paralyzed and his defenses damaged.
Tanjiro and the Hashira briefly overwhelmed Muzan, but his sonic boom incapacitated them and he regenerated while preparing to destroy the battlefield. Takanashi Rokuno then plunged from a platform above, leaving the Demon Slayers fearing he would die before reaching Muzan.
Rokuya leaped from the platform to attack Muzan, using the force of his fall to make Mortal Punisher trigger. He decapitated Muzan and crashed into the Infinity Castle, but emerged unharmed, leaving Kanae and Shinobu relieved to find him alive.
Rokuya survived his fatal plunge, and Yushiro brought the Infinity Castle aboveground, exposing Muzan to the night sky with two hours until sunrise. As Tanjiro held Muzan’s severed head apart from his body, Rokuya spent his remaining Gratitude Points to reset Invincible Might and transformed into the Dawn Guardian.
Rokuya used his eight-minute Invincible Might to overwhelm Muzan, while Tamayo's drug stopped Muzan from splitting apart to escape. After Rokuya's power ran out and left Muzan nearly depleted, the Hashira and swordsmen charged in to finish the fight.
Rokuya healed Kanae and Shinobu with Tamayo’s rare medicine while the Demon Slayer Corps held Muzan off until sunrise. Muzan was destroyed by the sun, and the victorious swordsmen celebrated Rokuya’s role in their success.
After Muzan's death, Kagaya Ubuyashiki recovered from his family's curse and thanked Rokuya for saving them. Rokuya declined wealth and status, asking instead to marry Shinobu and Kanae, live peacefully, and educate retired swordsmen; Kagaya promised to provide a residence and fund a school.
With the demons gone, the former Demon Slayer Corps members celebrated their freedom, and Kagaya Ubuyashiki formally disbanded the Corps. Two months later, Rokuya married Kanae and Shinobu at a lavish ceremony, leaving with his wives to begin their new life.
