Background / History

Chu Tong was originally a member of the Nine Heavens' Chu Family. After leaving the Sacred Forest, he founded the Guiyuan Sword Sect in the Azure God Domain and became its Grand Ancestor. 95

By the time Lu Yiping arrived, the sect had become the Azure God Domain's leading sword sect. It hosted the Sword Sect Grand Meeting, an event open to Azure God Domain experts that also drew observers from powerful outside sects. 96 102

The Grand Meeting was disrupted when Chief Disciple Sun Hongyuan confronted Lu Yiping's group over the injury of Qin Hua Sect disciple He Yi. The conflict escalated until the Dragon Horn Golden Ox defeated Sun Hongyuan and repelled attacks from the sect's experts. 108 109 112

After Feng Wen confirmed Lu Yiping's relationship with Chu Tong, the sect reversed its stance. Lu Yiping and his companions were escorted into the Ancestral Land, and Chu Tong ordered that Lu Yiping's requests be treated as his own commands. 113

The sect subsequently faced retaliation from the Taiqing Sword Sect for sheltering Lu Yiping. Qin Huai arrived with seven Heavenly Gods and nearly one hundred True Gods, but his force was annihilated by the Dragon Horn Golden Ox in the Ancestral Land. 117 120

During this crisis, Old Ancestor Li Xinbin's disloyal intentions were exposed through Lu Yiping's interrogation. Chu Tong killed Li Xinbin, and Feng Wen publicly warned that further betrayal would be punished by death. 120
