Background / History

Che Zipeng was once a disciple of Luo Shui of the Big Dipper Divine Palace. After the death of his grandmaster during the War of the Gods, infighting engulfed the palace. Luo Shui became disheartened, left the Northern Desolate Star Domain, and later the Big Dipper Divine Palace was destroyed. Che Zipeng also departed, without knowing where his master had gone. 263

In the Primordial Demon Realm of the Netherworld Prison, he obtained the Great Freedom Demonic Art and entered the Demonic Dao. He later encountered the founder of the Azure Thunder Divine Sect, whose master had been killed by the Great Freedom Demon Lord. Because Che Zipeng cultivated the same demonic art, the founder attacked and imprisoned him in the Demon Suppressing Tower. 263

Che Zipeng remained confined for roughly a million years, sustaining himself through suspended animation with the Great Freedom Demonic Art. He had previously consumed two Million Year Level Nine-Colored Divine Ganoderma, which extended his life long enough for him to survive into the present and aided his cultivation. 263

Lu Yiping located him in the Demon Suppressing Tower, recognized him as Luo Shui's disciple, and identified himself with a token of the Ancient World Honored One. After Che Zipeng paid his respects, Lu Yiping used the Life Divine Tree to restore his depleted Blood Essence and vitality, returning him from an emaciated old man to his former middle-aged appearance. Lu Yiping then secretly removed him from the tower and had him enter the Azure Thunder Divine Sect as a subordinate. 263

When first found, Che Zipeng was an emaciated, skeletal old man with fiery red hair, withered skin, clouded eyes, and an overwhelming demonic aura. His imprisonment had nearly exhausted his life force. 263

After the Life Divine Tree restored him, he became a refined and elegant middle-aged man appearing to be in his thirties or forties. 263 265

He is humble about his strength, especially around the Dragon Horn Golden Ox. After the ox criticized his punch against Nether God Ying Feili, Che Zipeng accepted the criticism respectfully rather than arguing. 286

Che Zipeng is also fiercely protective of those under his care. When Che Suping and other Che Family members had their Divine Sparks and Divine Veins crippled, he retaliated against the responsible Black and White Divine Palace members without yielding to Ziwei City's combined resistance. 299 300 301

After Black and White Divine Palace members cripple Che Family members, Che Zipeng destroys their Divine Veins in retaliation and breaks Ziwei City's defenses with the Star Flame Divine Fist.
