Lin Yi was killed twice in practically an instant.

Elder Qi and his group had only just reached the entrance to Ice and Snow City.

Then the Blood Ghost underwent its second change.

Lin Yi appeared stark naked right among the group, clearly startling everyone.

"Lin Yi? What are you..." Li Yong was somewhat bewildered.

It wasn't just Lin Yi's nakedness that bewildered him, but also the survivor Skinning Ghost's sudden disappearance.

"Oh, one of my abilities." Lin Yi kept his expression calm, acting as though nothing had happened.

He glanced at Li Jie and Lu Hanxue, who were still struggling in the sea of blood, then darted onto the Doomsday Assembled Car and changed into a set of clothes at top speed. "Elder Qi, Big Head is dead. Let's run."

Naturally, Elder Qi and the others didn't hesitate.

The convoy rumbled into motion with a series of roars.

Big Head was already dead, yet Da Sha was still unconscious.

Lin Yi had no time to get Da Sha back.

Elder Qi took Da Sha onto his Apocalypse Heavy Truck.

"Fuck, Lin Yi, you have no honor! Why did you run off?!"

Li Jie's face immediately darkened when he saw the convoy driving away.

He hadn't even figured out how Lin Yi had come back to life.

And in the blink of an eye, the guy had run off!??

"What else should he do, stay and die with us?" Lu Hanxue cut down a vengeful ghost, her tone flat.

"Young lady, whose side are you on, anyway?" Li Jie felt bitter.

Of course he understood the reasoning. He was just a little annoyed.

The Skinning Ghost was even more annoyed.

It had inexplicably appeared right in front of the Blood Ghost.

The Blood Ghost didn't care whether it was a supernatural entity or not and lashed out with its whip.

The Skinning Ghost cursed viciously. Its skin fell away, and its blood-red skeleton dove into the sea of blood, vanishing instantly.

Its eyes merely flicked toward Li Jie before turning toward the fleeing convoy.

It actually ignored Li Jie and Lu Hanxue entirely and chased straight after the convoy!

The sea of blood flowed rapidly.

Li Jie, who had thought he was certain to die, felt the sticky sensation beneath his feet disappear.

He looked down in bewilderment.

The sea of blood was gone. Only the blood staining his body reminded him of what had just happened.

"What's going on?"

Li Jie watched the departing sea of blood, his eyes bewildered.

"Seems like... a grudge..."

Lu Hanxue's eyes were calm, but her gaze turned toward Ice and Snow City in the darkness.

After the Blood Ghost left, the rustling sounds returned.

"A grudge?" Li Jie smacked his lips.

Without the Blood Ghost watching him like prey, he felt relaxed all over.

His mind was already rapidly spinning a melodramatic little story.

"Retreat." Lu Hanxue ignored Li Jie.

The ice before her rapidly transformed.

Soon, a sled made of ice appeared out of thin air.

Next came several huskies.

The ice-sculpture huskies were lifelike, as though they were alive.

Lu Hanxue leaped aboard and sat in the sled.

The ice-sculpture huskies' legs moved rapidly, and the sled shot far into the distance.

"Ah, young lady, wait for me! Wait for me!"

Seeing this, Li Jie interrupted the little story he was making up in his head and broke into a rapid chase.

"Bzzzt, bzzzt."

Elder Qi's voice came over the walkie-talkie.

"Lin Yi, the Blood Ghost is heading our way!"

Even without Elder Qi's warning, Lin Yi had already seen that blood-red ocean and the towering Blood Ghost with its patchwork features.

"Screech!"

The Doomsday Assembled Car's tires gave a heavy squeal against the ground.

Lin Yi drifted and shot down a side road without the slightest hesitation.

"The Blood Ghost should go for the convoy. It's a bigger target."

Lin Yi muttered under his breath.

He had seen Lu Hanxue and Li Jie escape with his own eyes.

Elder Qi and the others had no idea what Lin Yi was thinking.

Li Yong was still sighing over the walkie-talkie. "Lin Yi really is a good man. He's drawing the Blood Ghost away all by himself to buy us time."

As Lin Yi drove on, he noticed something was wrong.

The Blood Ghost was actually coming for him!

The sea of blood churned, making no move to pursue the convoy!

"Fuck, this isn't right! This doesn't follow the rules!"

Lin Yi cursed under his breath, but there was nothing else he could do.

He could only accelerate as much as possible, then use the Skinning Ghost to take his death and swap places.

The surging sea of blood was clearly faster than the Jury-Rigged Car.

It didn't even take a minute. In just a few breaths, the sea of blood had engulfed Lin Yi.

"Boom!"

A dull crash rang out.

The Jury-Rigged Car, an anomaly, was smashed clean in half.

"Bang."

The out-of-control Jury-Rigged Car slammed into the roadside.

Lin Yi was flung out as well.

Before he could do much of anything, the Bone Whip arrived.

"Splat."

A mist of blood burst forth.

Lin Yi appeared in Ice and Snow City.

In his place, a red skeleton stood before the Jury-Rigged Car in some bewilderment.

"Huh?"

"What the fuck?! What's going on?!"

"Bang!"

What greeted it was the Bone Whip, trailing afterimages...

The Blood Ghost's target clearly wasn't the Skinning Ghost.

After lashing out once, it pursued Lin Yi again without caring whether the Skinning Ghost lived or died.

Before Lin Yi could even breathe a sigh of relief,

he saw the sea of blood rapidly approaching.

Lin Yi truly couldn't understand why the Blood Ghost was so fixated on him.

It wasn't like he had any Jizhi cough syrup.

"At this rate, I'm dead for sure."

"I'll risk it!"

Lin Yi gritted his teeth.

He stopped running.

He turned to face the rapidly approaching sea of blood.

"Otherworldly Walking!"

Lin Yi charged straight toward the Blood Ghost.

Just as before,

Lin Yi fell out of the sea of blood.

The Bone Whip smashed down, tearing his body apart.

But soon, the blood mist churned.

The Blood Ghost paid no attention to the blood mist, scanning the surroundings instead.

After the two swaps with the Skinning Ghost, it had little interest in the Skinning Ghost.

Unexpectedly, though, it was still Lin Yi who appeared.

Lin Yi lunged forward.

One hand was already resting on top of the Blood Ghost's head.

The Blood Ghost's eyes went blank for an instant.

Its body stiffened as well.

"It worked!"

Joy rose in Lin Yi's heart.

The Blood Ghost's twisted mouth suddenly split open.

"Whoosh!"

The Bone Whip lashed viciously toward Lin Yi.

Just before he died, Lin Yi clearly heard a hoarse, mocking voice ring out in his mind.
